@Fraust

Hello! And yes to the discussing plot ideas ^^
I can't write explicit sexual content, and I generally don't like nail trauma, but that doesn't come up much anyway aha
Nothing else bothers me! Swearing is all fine and good and other violence and stuff is chill :)

@King_Cyrus

Aight, good! I don't do explicit sex stuff either so you're all good. I prefer language to stay around PG-13ish (mostly just no f-bombs or nothing too vulgar), but I'm chill with about anything else. :D

I can roll with just about anything. Realistic, sci-fi, fantasy. But I don't really like super magical stuff or demons and whatnot (usually feels weirdly overcomplicated and my dumb brain gets confusededed). Aside from that I'm not picky; I can roll with anything. I can do fluff or romance or dark stories or crime gangs or or or
literally just about anything like that.

Whatevah ya in the mood for, I can probably manage, and if I can't I'll just let you know. XD

@Fraust

Alrighty! I tend to prefer playing male characters (I have a lot of kid characters I've been fleshing out aha), but I can try a female character if that's what you'd prefer ^^
Found family is one of my favorite tropes, but I do a fair few romances as well, and I'm comfortable with any kind of romance pairings
Fluff, angst, all that good stuff
I'm well versed in trauma aha
TLDR, I'm good with pretty much anything and can try my best to use pretty much any sort of character, although I likely wouldn't play an old character well aha

@King_Cyrus

I can play female characters, but I usually tend to do guys. Honestly now that you mention it though, a found-family type thing sounds really nice right now. I love that kind of stuff; it always makes me so happy for some reason. I really like it when a bada** villain/antagonist/bad-guy goes from being the enemy who hates the protag to being like the weird uncle-dad guy with slightly questionable morals but would definitely snap someone's neck just to protect the kid/teenager hero/protagonist from the actual bad guys (if anything I just said even makes sense; if it doesn't, ignore me. I ramble like a fool sometimes. It's fine).

I can do just about any character dynamic as well if I can get into the mood for it. I like dark stuff though so I vote we kind of err to the dark side of things. Of course, we can throw in a little bit of stuff to lighten it up along the way, because that's what really makes something dark better, anyway.

@Fraust

Oooh hero/villain stuff could definitely be fun
Like an adult competent villain and a young hero who's pretty much been forced into a fate he never wanted and the villain's like "oh shit this kid is kinda messed up mentally oop" and lowkey adopts him lol
Like the villain hates the hero until he knocks off his mask or something at some point and realizes he's just a kid trying his best and failing and cracking under the pressure the city is putting on him
And the hero might even like end up joining the villain on a morally grey path because they both realize how screwed up the world is and want to change it, and together they have the power to do so 👀

@Fraust

We can do templates if you prefer! And I'd probably like to be the hero if that's okay with you 👉👈
I might have to get my form up tomorrow, and I'll probably try and draw my character as well aha

@King_Cyrus

Yea, you can totally be the hero! I think I'd do best with the villain for this one anyhow. He's already becoming pretty vivid in my mind! I'll slap a temp up and you can simplify or expand on it however you want. I'll try to have my form up tonight or tomorrow as well. Take all the time ya need!

@Fraust

Alrighty, cool! Ty!
I'm really active by the way, and I'll usually bump roughly every two days asdgjkl
I'm perfectly happy to reply several times a day, but I know a lot of people aren't on quite as much as I am lol
Usually I reply as much as I can :>

@King_Cyrus

Alright! I'll try to be as active as possible. I go through spurts of being able to post a lot of times per day, and I usually only disappear if I get super busy or super stressed with life. Hopefully that won't happen though and I'll be on regularly.

@King_Cyrus

Name: Harvey James Kennon
Alias: The Reformer
Age: 35 years (almost 36)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual/straight
Personality: Honestly, it's a lot easier if I just show you in the RP, but if you need a description I can try to do my best. XD I think it's harder too though because I expect him to have an arc. Jerk warning though. He's not gonna be a nice dude when we first meet him. Possibly never. XD
Brief Backstory: (This is really incoherent and under construction) Harv was the older of two siblings, raised by his emotionally/mentally abusive father and wearied mother. As a youngster, Harv always admired heroes, and he wanted to become one. This only intensified when, at the age of 9, Harv manifested superpowers. He and his little brother would fantasize about growing up to become superheroes, about saving people and changing the world and making it a better place.
But life was hard, and the sweetness of childhood dreams was slowly replaced by the sickeningly bitter taste of reality.
As the years went by, Harv's family divorced, his dad became a chronic alcoholic (which only worsened his already terrible behavior), and his mother suffered from horrible depression and loneliness. Harv tried to keep to his sanity by fixating on his goal of becoming a superhero, but as he got older, he began to realize that superheroes weren't what he'd thought they were. With time, he began to see that many of the men he'd idolized were only in it for the money, for the fame, for the flashing lights and perks. He began to believe that they offered only a false sense of hope and happiness for the average man, that the world was left largely unchanged by their actions, and that they were okay with that. Still, though, he wanted to be the hero that could make a difference, the hero that could make a change—
But becoming a hero turned out to be harder than he expected. If you weren't intentionally doing publicity stunts or trying to gain a standing with the media, if you were just focused on good deeds (like a hero should've been, in Harv's opinion), then you didn't get noticed. Harv spent his late teens (18, 19) trying to become a hero, pouring hours of work and time and effort into it, but to no avail. When he was almost 20, he sank in with a bad crowd, started dabbling in petty crime. His little brother followed shortly after and ended up overdosing on drugs when Harv was 22; his brother was only 19.
Harv snapped; he used his powers and his seemingly useless "hero training" to find the drug dealers who had sold to his brother and kill them all. To his great disgust, he discovered that a local hero had been working with drug dealers smuggle illegal substances into the city. It's safe to say that this period of his life is what helped ignite his hatred for the hero society.
He embarked on a journey to kill the hero he held responsible for his brother's overdose; it took him several years, but at the age of 25, Harv Kennon, a nobody from the ghetto, successfully assassinated his first superhero.
That was a decade ago. Since then, he's become a fairly well-known villain. He believes that superhero society is screwed up, that they're all a bunch of fakes and liars in shiny costumes, lying to people and smiling for cameras while the rest of the world burns. He has killed a decent number of superheroes since then, and he likes to make it brutal. The media bleeds with rumors about him, so its hard to discern truth from lie at this point.
Powers/Abilities: Electromagnetic powers, though with emphasis on the electro part; he can manipulate all electricity around him, even the electricity in himself and others. However, he has a hard time controlling it sometimes; he usually uses technology he has bought to help him use it better. He can fry technology, fire electrical blasts, and is immune to all electrical shock. He also seems to have slightly enhanced strength and durability (to an extent).
Appearance:
Build— 6'0, with a rather broad build. He's lowkey ripped and honestly doesn't look like a guy I'd want to get in a hand-to-hand fight with. He has pretty big hands.
Skin— Fair with only a faint tan. His skin is blemished with scars and such.
Hair— Thick, chocolate brown hair that's usually kept cut short. When it grows out, it's kind of a mess, sticking up or in whatever direction it feels like, but it usually doesn't get any longer than a few inches for that reason. He almost always have stubble though and doesn't give a crap about shaving.
Eyes— A dark blue-grey color. They usually appear more grey.
Clothes— (Combat) Thick black combat boots with strong grips. Dark grey cargo pants with a utility belt full of extra tools and weapons. Sleeveless coal-grey shirt, underneath a hooded jacket; when zipped, the jacket has a mask that pulls up over the lower half of his face, as well as a pair of bada** glasses he wears over his eyes. Fingerless black gloves. Blood-red accenting on his entire getup.
Extra: He's not that great with computers, but he likes mechanics and engineering, so he utilizes those skills and has a lot of gadgets that he tries to use.

Welp I'm sure there's something I'll change or have forgotten but let's start with this. Honestly my description doesn't really explain him well so maybe I'll try to draw him one day. He's pretty vivid in my head but I sucK at making it clear. This form is such a mess that my eyes are bleeding but hopefully you can make more sense of it than I did XD

@Fraust

Ooh I like him! I'm still working on my boy but I'll get him up as soon as I'm done with the drawing, which should be later today :> (unfortunately will probably be after school, but I'll try and have other parts of the form filled out as well in the meantime)

@Fraust

Name: Keitan Lee Foray (Key)
Alias: Gecko
Age: 13
Gender: Male, he/him
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: He's very standoffish and defensive, and sometimes abrasive. He doesn't generally get along with others, and he doesn't do well under pressure. Other than that, he'll develop in the roleplay ;)
Brief Backstory: Keitan was born as an only child to two loving parents, neither of which had powers, but both of which carried it (one grandparent on either side had powers). They lived a fairly normal life, excluding the frequent villain vs hero duels in the city, up until Keitan was about four years old. A villain with a grudge against his maternal grandfather found out where Keitan's family lived and came to kill his mother. Both of his parents were killed in the skirmish, his father due to attempting to protect Keitan and his mother, and Keitan suffered a blade injury to his left eye, causing him to be half blind and leaving a large scar behind to remember the incident. He then moved in with his less than responsible aunt, who verbally abuses him and neglects him. She values toxic masculinity ideals, and disapproves of pretty much everything Keitan does, which is why he hasn't told her about the whole heroing thing. He started doing it when he was about eleven, dealing with petty crimes only, but has come into the more dangerous arena now that he's thirteen.
Powers/Abilities: He has enhanced agility (speed and jumping in particular) and can cling to walls and other surfaces. For combat, he uses water and ice in various forms, usually from afar due to his lacking physical strength and also in an attempt to hide his identity.
Appearance:
Build— About 5'0 tall with a slim, lithe build. At thirteen, he's a bit underweight and hasn't quite filled out yet, but is fitter than he appears. Endurance and agility are his specialities over brute strength.
Skin— His skin is pale and clear for the time being. He does his best to keep up with it. He has a large scar reaching from his left eyebrow over his nose to his right cheek.
Hair— His hair is a medium toned brown and is very soft and fluffy. He spikes it up in the front with hair gel, but it looks nice when it's left natural (he just generally doesn't leave it that way). His hair is fairly short everywhere except the front, which is roughly medium length.
Eyes— His eyes are a bright, medium toned blue. His left pupil is cloudy due to the blindness in it.
Clothes—His casual clothing is usually various oversized hoodies paired with jeans and tennis shoes. His combat clothing is gray, black, and blue, with blue, vaguely wave-like patterning across the chest, upper arms, and legs. He wears dark goggles and a mouth and nose covering to hide his identity and age.

Extra: He enjoys sewing, and he's mostly doing hero work because he's still holding onto hope that he can make a difference in all the terrible things of the world. He's also pretty accident prone, and he isn't academically gifted. No one he knows personally knows that he is a hero.

@Fraust

🥺 <33 I'm glad you like him afgjkl
I thought it might work for them to formally meet if Harvey hurts Keitan badly enough that he's like, stuck on the ground, and then takes off his mask to see who he is and he's like "um?? You're like a child??" Lmao

@King_Cyrus

Yea, I like that idea.

Harv: "Imma pound this piece of crap hero into the dust."
folds Keitan like an omelet
Also Harv: realization
"Oh frick—"

@Fraust

Lmao yeah pretty much
And considering how great Keitan does under pressure, he'll probably be panicking and in shock when Harvey takes his mask off lol

@Fraust

Just like curled up on the ground like trying not to scream
He doesn't speak while heroing because his squeaky cracky pubescent voice would kinda give him away lmao
