"Hiding in the attic, up high in the dark with crawler octobrawlers, heh yeah thats why I never went up there" Lukas laughed slightly, then realizing he just listed three of his biggest fears out loud, he looked at the floor "just ignore that" He mumbled.
"Umph…" Satou grunted at the first comment, then nodded when he was told to ignore it. "Yeah. Sorry for kinda just… breaking in. We ghosts don't have a sense of privacy- well, that could also just be me, but eh. Whatever."
"Well a ghost approaching me 'Hey can I crash here' would probably freak me out" Lukas said shrugging. He jumped off of the desk and streched his grabby limbs, "I could go for a snack" He said casually walking towards the kitchen, he wanted something sweet, as he almost always did. It was a bodge habit, his snacking. "I would ask if you want anything but uh, you don't eat do you?"
Satou nodded, letting out another nervous laugh. "Yeah, I don't eat. I wish I could… I miss the taste of mandatory sustenance (like cheetos). But I guess this is for the better. I've had some problems with overeating, so it's safe to assume that my being unable to eat was yet another cruel twist of fate," the ghost replied with a somewhat dramatic tone.
Lukas oppened the fridge looking for his chocolate "Hm yes tis thy fate that is cruel and twisted" He muttered not paying much attention. He closed the fridge and opened the cabnet. Still unable to find it he slammed the cabinet shut and layed his head on the counter dramatically. "I can't find iiiit!"
Satou chuckled quietly and stayed behind Lukas as he moved about. "What are you looking for?" Satou asked after seeing Lukas practically lose his shit in an attempt to find whatever it was he was looking for.
"My dark chocolate" Lukas pouted, he knew he was being childish but he really did want the chocolate globbernaughts that bodge. He looked at Satou sadly, "I don't know where it went"
"Hmm… Let me see." Satou huffed affirmatively before phasing through a few spots within the pantry and walls and such before finally spotting it. He managed to use some of his life energy to pick it up, and he then floated towards Lukas, handing him the chocolate. "Is this the one you're looking for?" he asked as he handed it over.
Lukas practically jumped up he took the chocolate then went to glomp Satou, before he remeberd Satou is a ghost, "Heh, yeah thanks" He said smiling brightly as he opened the chocolate, broke off a peice and ate it. "Ahh yes, chocolate, my biggest weakness"
Satou chuckled lightly. "I've never seen someone get so jazzed about chocolate. Or any mandatory sustenance (like cheetos) really. No matter. I'm just gonna-" Satou floated into another wall, thus sending himself back into the attic he used to hide in before he'd decided to come out.
Lukas pouted "Hey, come back! I was enjoying our conversation!" He said stomping his groundhands, acting like a ankle-biter. "Pleeeaase"
Satou grumbled a bit before returning. "Geez, you're loud. But fine, I'm here." Satou wasn't normally this cooperative, but he decided to change that for now. He enjoyed having someone to talk to, even if it was a little… offputting.
Lukas sighed "Uh ..sorry..I can get a little..hyper" He said neverously eating another peice of chocolate. 'your going to scare him off Lukas. I know Lukas. Well calm down then' He thought having a conversation in his head, something he usually did out loud.
Satou shrugged. "It's whatever. I do enjoy having someone to chit-chat with… It's been a whole orbit party since I talked to anybody, since I, y'know, kinda died." Satou treated his own death pretty carelessly, compared to what most would expect of a ghost talking about a heavy matter such as that.
"Yeah I just died, kind of cut off my contact with people" Lukas said sarcastically while shaking his head. "Just completly normal thing, dying and cutting of contact with people". He said eating another peice of chocolate.
"Well hey now, being a ghost changes how I contact people good sir-" Satou refuted, having taken the sarcasm a touch too personal. "Not a lot of people can see me so I can't talk to them much. They can barely even hear me at that point so I just stop trying."
Lukas waved what Satou said away with his hand, " I was kidding. Joking. Sarcasm You know. No need to get Offended" He chuckled and put the rest of the chocolate in the fridge, "So do you just sit in the attic all day?"
Satou let out a sharp hiss directed at the comment about getting offended. 'Yeah yeah whatever," he grumbled again. "And yes, that's basically it. I don't have much to do otherwise. Plus, the attic doesn't have windows, so I won't fade away in the sun when it comes out."
"Most of my friends I would flick them for hissing, but uh, not sure if I can even touch you" Lukas shrugged, "You could hang around my house, I like to keep it darker if you didn't notice" Which was true, most of the curtians in the house were closed blackout curtians and he just turned on the lights when he needed them, why waste power right. He grabbed a peice of paper on the counter crumbled it up and threw it at Satou.
Satou nodded. "Yeah, which is good, because the moment I fade away, that'll mean I'm gone for good. And I'm sure both of us wouldn't want that, or so I'm assuming." Once Satou finished speaking he noticed the piece of paper that had been thrown at him land on the ground right in front of his hovering groundhands. He didn't bother picking it up, though.
"…I missed" Lukas said then started laughing. "I wanted to see if it would go through you, and I missed" he shook his head, "I mean I know I have a sucky ass throw but jeez" He went over and picked the paper up, standing back up he was extremely close to Satou. "Uh, Paper" He muttered and stepped back.
Satou wasn't phased by the two of them being rather close to each other. In fact, he seemed pretty fine with it- It wasn't all that embarrassing to him, or so it seemed at the least. "Yeah, paper," he replied somewhat jokingly.
Lukas chuckled, nevously rubbing the back of his neck. He quickly turned around and cleared his throut "Well, uh, Want to watch Tv? I know you can still do that" He said walking towards the living human containment unit. 'what was that? Panicking just from being close to someone? Totally normal, not really. Ugh.' he shook his head to clear his thoughts.
"Yeah, sure. I don't see why not," Satou responded as he had begun floating around in slow circles.
Lukas plopped down on the couch in the living human containment unit turning on the tv, he flipped through the channels trying to find something to watch, honeslty he didn't enjoy watching tv all that much, but it gave him somthing he could do with Satou.
Satou stopped floating in circles and instead floated over to the couch, hovering above it as if he were sitting down in midair, rather than sitting on the couch itself. He hummed quietly as he watched Lukas flip through the channels.
Lukas looked over at the wobbly flip-shutter, which he could see from the couch still flipping through the channels as his mind wandered 'Satou seems noice, yeah besides the fact he is dead, so what if he is dead, he is still here. You were acting like a complete ankle-biter' he thought then started mumbling not relizing he was talking aloud, "I know, but I can be very childish, its totally normal. Yes normal for you but not everyone Hm? Alright fine, you win."
"Wh-" Satou grunted, having heard Lukas talk aloud to himself as if he were holding a conversation with the wall or something. He then shrugged it off, realizing that he used to have a similar habit when he was a kid. He began floating upside down, hoping to lighten up what little lingering tension Satou had begun to feel over the course of the conversation- or, at least, within the time the conversation had quieted down a tad.
Lukas froze and looked at the floor "I was talking out loud wasn't I? " He asked looking over at Satou, he looked at Satou full of confusion and turned his head sideways so he was almost facing the same as Satou. "You enjoy seeing the world for what it really is? Upsidedown" He asked.
"You were, but don't sweat it, I didn't pay much mind to whatever it is you said," Satou replied, still upside down, which caused some of his hair to fall over onto his face. "I mean, yeah, why not? The world, as you put it, is upside down as is, so why not just enhance the illusion, eh?" he joked.
