"I'm- I'm scared." The girl whimpered, having no qualms about seeming weak. "I know I don't know you, but… Can I have a hug?" Adella asked, her bottom lip trembling and she looked like she was about to burst into tears.
"I'm- I'm scared." The girl whimpered, having no qualms about seeming weak. "I know I don't know you, but… Can I have a hug?" Adella asked, her bottom lip trembling and she looked like she was about to burst into tears.
“Yeah, sure. Get over here.” Axa beckoned, sitting up. That was a mistake. Her stomach immediately started cramping up and she groaned in pain, hunching back over. Her hand was still slightly reaching towards the girl, but now it was shaking.
Adella held up a hand to tell the other that she could get there on herself. "It's okay. I think you should stay there. I think I can make it over there."
Axa took a shaky breath, squeezing her eyes shut momentarily before shaking her head. “I’m fine, I’m fine.” She said, crawling over to Adella and giving her a gentle hug.
Adella melted into the hug, it was obvious she was used to a lot of physical contact. She started to tear up, everything was just crashing down on here. "I… I don't know where I am." She sobbed.
“You’re from up there, aren’t you?” Axa pointed to the Sun, glancing around them and feeling her heart sink in disbelief. She knew where they were. This wasn’t good.
"Uh… Yeah, you're from Lunar, aren't you?" She asked quietly, her family didn't have a good relationship with those from the moon. They were just so cold and pale when her family were bright and warm.
Axa pulled away from the hug. This girl doesn’t want anything to do with her. She struggled to her feet and walked over to retrieve her cardigan, not looking at Adella.
"No, no please!" She called out, reaching towards the other. "Please… It's cold." Adella whimpered, her body almost completely curled up.
Axa sighed and limped back over to her, tossing her cardigan at Adella. "Aren't you supposed to be hot all the time? You're from the sun." She muttered, sinking to the ground and spreading out. It was way too hot here. She was irritated, not with the girl, mostly with herself. She usually knew more than this, it wasn't fair not knowing what was going on.
"Well, the sun's warm and we're used to warmer climates, so anything like this is freezing," Adella explained, pulling the sweater over her arms and shivering.
Axa nodded but froze when she heard yelling and shouting. “We have to leave.” She muttered, helping Adella to her feet. “If the humans find us here they’ll take us captive.” She assumed. They had always been taught that humans weren’t a nice species.
Adella staggered up, leaning on Axa a lot. Her knee had gotten some damage, so moving wasn't very fun. "Where could we go?" She asked quietly to the other, holding onto her arm tightlly.
“I have no idea..” Axa realized, looking around them. They had seemed to crash down in a small forest. The impact of both of them created a small crater and loosened up a couple trees. The voices grew closer and Axa resorted to just picking up Adella so they could move faster. Her ankle eventually went numb with pain and the only thing she noticed was the cramping in her stomach. They climbed out of the crater and she hid them both behind a small grouping of trees, setting down Adella with a sigh of relief.
