Everything is shattering and it's my mistake. Only fools fall for you, only fools. Only fools do what I do, only fools fall. |
The sunny skies and quiet are tranquil and peaceful to most. The day drones on as it always does in Kinstos. The same thing again and again. It's small and quite the boring setting with few residents. Some even came to disappear in a sense. To a boy, it's proof that there isn't much to life anymore. At least not after what the past has already given him. To a girl it's a prime example of the world's beauty.
The homes are old but in fair enough shape, a dusty gravel road winding towards them through the wheat fields. The quiet is disturbed by a newer seeming vehicle, only two inside it. And it turns into the driveway of a house that had just recently been sold.
ok yeah I'm not good with what I wanna convey when it's past midnight already. In short, this is a romance where a depressed boy meets a girl and both change each other over time. It's inspired by the song above, go read the lyrics because it's such a good song. The boy is also afraid of love because he's depressed you get it
Once the ball gets rolling, I have two ideas to where this can go.
- The girl gets depressed over time and feels like a fool for falling for the boy in the first place (because I like kicking myself in the feels lol)
- We go complete fluff route and happy times lol (meaning a slow burn probably)
RULES:
- Spelling and grammar is a big pet peeve of mine. Spelling errors happen and I get that, it's fine but if it's constant, I'm gonna think you didn't care enough to read the rules
- Give me a good length of a reply to work with! It's hard to reply to 1-2 liners!!!
- andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s rules obviously
- Please be respectful
- Slight profanity is allowed :D
- This will be a B x G because of how I want this to go. Not hating on other ship types.
I like fluff, angst, and everything in between lmao I'm down
lmao yessssss
option 1 I'm guessing lol?
Also do you have gender preference?
Idk man maybe a bit of both would be good. I love fluff. I'd prefer to be the guy, probably
(Ok so we can just roll with it, gotcha.)

Here's the template.
Alrighty cool I'll fill it out in a sec
Name: Lucas Mulbright
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance: Medium/long, fluffy blond hair spiked up smoothly in the front, baby blue eyes, pale with freckles. He's about 5'6 and very thin. His eyes seem a bit large in proportion to his face, and he kinda gives off twink vibes.
Attire: Always long sleeves. He usually wears large hoodies of any color, though he seems to favor darker colors and blue, paired with jeans and old tennis shoes.
Personality: Anxious, big sad bby. Needs a hug, but he's afraid of being touched. In all honestly, he's super sweet and strangely polite once you gain his trust, though his trust is hard to gain. He's got hella walls that are difficult to break through, and he can seem a bit standoffish and very quiet at first. He hardly ever speaks to people he doesn't know. He actually harbors quite a temper when provoked, but he's mostly known as a crybaby.
Fears: His father, crowds, people in general, alcohol, glass, being restrained
Likes: Drawing, avoiding people, singing (secretly), not taking care of himself oof
Dislikes: Crowds, his father, alcohol, talking about feelings ew, taking care of himself (f)
Other: (ex: Backstory, sexuality, anything else) Develop (I know it but it's secretish. I'll tell you his dad is abusive and his other family members are dead, though, including his twin brother)
Actually I will explain it. Lucas and his twin brother Claus were in a car wreck with their mother. Claus and his mother die. Cue survivor's guilt. His father becomes alcoholic and abusive and rarely remembers who he is. He either thinks Lucas is Claus or a stranger. Oof
Also, Claus looks like Lucas but ginger and green eyes instead of blue. Really it's more strawberry blonde, but… you know…
Name: Aurian Cole
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance: Light brown hair with loose curls, warm ivory skin and dark chocolate brown eyes. Her face is more of a rounded shape with full lips. She stands at about 5'4 in height
Attire: A range of comfortable tee-shirt and jean combos paired with combat boots
Personality: Mostly cheerful and bubbly, optimistic, but sassy as well. She knows how to be a polite human being basically. She cares for people even if she knows she probably shouldn't for some.
Fears: Blood, centipedes (pretty much the only bug surprisingly), and not being able to do anything/being useless
Likes: Peppermint tea, music, hugs, cloud watching, photography
Dislikes: Yelling, stereotypes, just flat out idiots, negativity
Other: Her father died a few years back, so it's only her and her mother now. The city life wasn't too bad, but it felt far too busy and cold there. In the population's personality and in weather. So the two packed their bags and headed to Kinstos.
Yeah that all happened when he was nine lol. Tfw you really need a hug but your dad's abusive so you're high key scared of people touching you, especially without warning
(Ready to start? I won't be on much longer but we can still get this going if you wanna)
(Yeah sorry had to sleep. Would you mind starting?)
(Nope! Just give me a sec)
Aurian hummed along with the music playing in her ears. It was an upbeat pop song with a bit of rap in it. Usually rap wasn't what the teen would go for, but it was catchy. Feeling a tap on her shoulder, she looked up from her phone at her mother. Taking out an earbud, she saw what her mother was pointing at. The expansive plains of plants, trees here and there, all brought together with a beautiful blue sky. This would be her reality to wake up to from now on. The only downside was that a bit of dust from the gravel road was following their car's path. The clean red of their small Ford car was likely dull from the same reason.
Aurian continued to gaze out the window anyways, staring at a particular willow tree. It was beautiful. Her attention was then taken by a small home in the distance. The one she and her mother would be living in.
Hearing the noise, the residents of the small town poked their heads out the window or came outside to wave or say their greetings to the newcomers. A few children gaped at the fancy car, despite it being a bit dirty. The young girl rested her head in her right hand, left hand picking out a more fitting song. Something light and happy.
Lucas glanced out the window of his rundown looking house he shared with the man who sired him. He hardly wanted to call him his father anymore after everything he'd done, but he couldn't legally move out yet. He watched the car drive down the street to a further away house that had been up on the market for a while. All the houses had a decent amount of land around them, so although most of the people were quite close in their relationships, the houses were a decent enough distance away. If they weren't, his father would've been arrested years ago. Lucas sighed and returned to cleaning his room, tossing used blades that had failed yet again into the trash. He was too much of a coward to go through with it.
(Sorry!!!)
Aurian watched the home get closer and closer. It was a single story home that was pale yellow with a dark gray roof. The teen already wondered about her room and how she would decorate it. Grinning, she took an earbud out in case her mom spoke to her. As soon as the car pulled in and came to a complete stop, Aurian took a head start for the front door. Which was locked. There came a faint chuckle from behind her as the girl's mother came up the single step with the key. "Excited are we?" the woman asked with a smile. After the lock clicked, Aurian walked inside. She looked around, happy with the open lay out, but immediately sneezed due to the dust in the air. It was time for the unpacking to begin. Both women came in and out of the home until each and every box was brought in. Aurian still didn't see her room anywhere though, her things set in the living room. Just a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a closet in the hall, and stairs to the attic. Dreading the idea, the teen treaded up the stairs into what she assumed was an unsafe and dusty attic. It instead was a loft of some sort with a small window to the left. She grinned, loving the small space. It was hers and it was beautiful.
(time skip?)
(Sure. I'll timeskip to school, since that's likely where they'd meet)
Lucas was wearing a hat today to hide the new glass wounds he had on his head. He walked into the school with a sigh, shifting the strap of his messenger bag so it was less painful. He hated school, honestly. People were dicks here too. But he couldn't deny that it was exponentially better than his house, and he often stayed late to avoid going home. He figured the new person would be going to school here, as it was the only high school in the small town and everyone already sort of knew who everyone else was.
