"Sounds about right. Seems like you've got something good for us then, yeah?" Gene confirmed as they spun around aimlessly in their swivel chair, careful not to get the cords wrapped around anything. They fiddled with the mic lever on their headset, trying to get it just right as they spun themself back around to face the screen again.
"This better not end with me getting eaten by a damn troll again." Talia muttered. She was still cranky about that particular route the game session had taken a few months ago.
Ace chuckled. "It probably won't, but if it does I'm going to laugh." He said, the nonchalant shrug obvious in his voice. "Anyhow, where's nerd one?"
Ale had gotten off momentarily to grab some food. The others were distracted enough, anywho. She brought her amazing spicy ramen back and sat down.
“Nerd one back!” She mumbled through a mouthful of hot noodle.
"Okay, we have all nerds. Time to begin!" Ace said as his author tries to look up how dungeon masters start sessions.
"Hey wait a sec… Ale! Is that food I hear?" Gene joked, secretly wishing that they had gotten up to go get food of their own. Who knows, it could be a long session after all. "Shit that reminds me. I'll be right back!" Gene quickly spluttered into the mic before ripping of their headset and taking off down the hallway to raid the pantry for snacks in preparation.
"Oh damn, yeah I need to grab my tea and chocolate." Ace muttered as the muffled sound of his headset being set down was heard. He walked over to his apartment's kitchen and pulled out his chocolate and mug for tea.
Ale slurped up her noodles, the noise sounding clear through the others sets.
“Sure is! Get your food!”
Talia sat back in her comfy armchair. She was a regular at this Starbucks so the barista's behind the bar knew her order like the backs of their hands. She was prepped and ready to go. "Noobs." She giggled into her mic. "We've done this for how long and you still don't know to get your munchies first?"
"Oh shush, I'm in a forgetful mood today and I need my fucking chocolate." Ace muttered, he had just come back and was now slouched in his old chair. A chair that he didn't want to throw into the firey depths of hell.
Talia chuckled, as she flicked from page to page on the internet. Her fingers flying over the keyboard as she responded to forums and blogs that she ran. "Ever the grump, Ace."
"Eh, Y'all only catch me on the suckiest time of the month." He said with a chuckle as the sound of him typing was heard. "Everyone has their food?"
Gene quickly ran back into the room, throwing various bags of chips and cookies at their desk and leaping back into their chair, gripping two 2-liter bottles of soda. "I'm back and with food!" Gene called, quickly jamming their headset back on.
