Vixy clapped softly as they finished, a small smile on her face. "That was great guys."
Vixy clapped softly as they finished, a small smile on her face. "That was great guys."
Anarchy grinned proudly while the rest of the band muttered their thanks.
"I have to say that I did pick up on a few things, but there weren't that many errors."
The lead singer turned to Anarchy. "I told you to stop zoning out!"
Anarchy stepped back, hanging her head sheepishly. "Sorry, didn't notice." Shit, I wanted to impress her.
"Uh…it wasn't Anarchy," She said awkwardly. "Honestly, it was only the drums and a few notes sung by you that I picked up on," She directed to the lead singer.
The lead singer gave Anarchy a quick glare before turning back to her. "Do you remember exactly where?"
Anarchy smiled softly at the ground.
Vixy stood up. "I don't want to seem rude, because all I want to do is get you the best you can be, but there were a few flat notes from you. Look, I'm not trying to impede on what you do, but I used to be in a band and we fought all the time. And then finally myself and the lead singer had such a huge fight that we couldn't come back from. I see a lot of potential in your group, and I don't want the same to happen to you."
The lead singer nodded. "Yeah yeah, I get it. Anarchy tends to zone out most though, so I generally figure it was her." She said. "Now, where did I mess up?"
Anarchy stood awkwardly to the side, looking at the picture again.
"I noticed that most of the flat notes were around the bridge and the chorus area. You don't always need to give it bravado: you can get the note across without straining your voice."
The lead singer nodded along, listening to her suggestions. "Anarchy, can you please stop playing with that one part of your jacket? The jingling sound is annoying." She called over her shoulder after a few minutes.
Anarchy mumbled an apology, dropping the strap with the buckle thing on the end.
"Don't do that," She said suddenly. "If you all prey on Anarchy, you'll never get anything done. You need to work together in harmony, else you will go down the same path I did."
"We're not preying on her." The lead singer said, crossing her arms. "We're just trying to keep her focused."
"Then let her focus in her own time, because as far as I'm aware her playing is better than yours at the moment."
Anarchy blushed quietly, shuffling slightly.
Vixy sighed, slightly annoyed. "Look, if you want my help, ask for it. If you don't, at least work as a good team."
The lead singer huffed. "Who do you think you are, telling us what to do?"
Anarchy looked up. "Julie, no-"
"Shut up!"
Anarchy shrunk back.
"Let's see. I'm Roxanne Adler. I'm an upcoming star in the industry and I'm well know. My brother is high up in this company, and I have a tour coming up because everyone wants to see me perform. If that doesn't qualify to at least help you with your career, I don't know what does."
Anarchy bit her lip, waiting for the yelling.
"If you don't want my help, fine. I'll leave. But I have more experience than you and I know what I'm talking about."
And there it was. Julie stared screaming, with most of the band coming to her defense.
Anarchy slipped out, grabbing her guitar case.
Vixy took the hits, essentially emotionless. She spotted Anarchy walk out, but she didn't say anything. She'd gone through this before. Natalia had always struck up fights, and everyone in the band had rallied behind her. Anarchy was sort of like her: she seemed to be the person everything was aimed at, and everyone else rallied behind Julie.
Anarchy hid in the hall, packing away her guitar and heading into a stairwell, leaning against the wall under the stairs.
She waited until everyone calmed down. "This is what I'm talking about. You don't work in harmony. And to top it off, you made Anarchy leave." She sighed. "You should be ashamed of yourself. You're acting like 5 year olds."
Julia opened her mouth for a retort. "Like we're your girlfriend's keepers."
She ignored the comment. "If you keep treating her like this, you're gonna push her away." She picked up her guitar case and left, leaving the band in the now quiet room.
(hey i was wondering if you maybe wanted to skip forward?
