V kissed his lips and stroked his hair "hm, don't know. What do you want to do now?" He asked softly, gently pressing kisses along Nathaniel's neck

Nathaniel shrugged. "We've been doing a lot of resting… I still feel like shit, but I kinda want to go do something."

"want to go out into the town? I'm not eure how many places are open at this time, we could always just walk around." He said, pulling away slightly and looking at Narhaniel

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" Nathaniel got up and stretched, wincing a bit when he did so. "Any places you like going to in particular?"

V did the same, stretching out his good wing. He gasped slightly in pain as his other wing tried to stretch. "There's aighthouse nearbye with a beach we can go to." He said after recovering from the strain

Nathaniel nodded and took V's hand. "Wanna have some holy water before we go?"

He nodded "yeah, that'll probably let help." He headed to the kitchen and found some cups. He passed one to Nathaniel and poured some holy water into both of the cups

Nathaniel just drank his all in one go so they could leave sooner. "There." He tossed the cup into the sink. "Ready to go?"

He nodded and finished his off. "Ready." He pulled open the door and grabbed the keys.

"Alrighty." Nathaniel walked out with V. "I guess we're driving, then?"

He shrugged "if you want to walk 15 miles to town and the 2 miles to the beach at night, be my guest." He teased, unlocking the car and getting in

"I think I'm good." Nathaniel got into the car and strapped himself in, sighing.

V laughed softly and started the car, heading to the edge of town and ruching the beach in less then an hour. "we're here!" He hopped out of the car and breathed in the briny smell of the sea

Nathaniel stretched once he got out of the car. "Cool. Are we swimming? If so, we didn't exactly bring suits."

V laughed and shook his head "neither did I, we'll save swimming for another time, plus the water is too cold to swim in at this time of night." He pulled off his shoes and shirt and walked across the parking lot to the sandy beach, one wing naturally folded in while the other was tightly wrapped against his form. He stopped at the edge where the water met the sand and closed his eyes as he took in the silent bliss

"True." Nathaniel pulled off his shirt and shoes as well, his injured wing dragging in the sand while the other was held at a normal angle. He came up to V's side and took his hand in his own, looking out upon the horizon. "It's lovely here…"

v glanced down at their hands and laced their fingers together, "It truly is. One of my favorite places to go" he pulled anthill in front of him and hugged him from behind, carefulll not to hurt the injured wing. He rested his head onto of his and gazed out at the horizon, thinking no moment could be better than this.

Nathaniel leaned back into V, relaxing more. He watched the sun begin to set, whispers of pink sunlight still clinging to the clouds. "I love you…"

V leaned over and kissed his cheek "I love you too Nath," he pulled Nathaniel down with him into the sand, settling in a comfortable position with him in his lap. He arms snaked around the others torso

Nathaniel smiled and glanced back at V before looking back out on the water. An intriguing thought occurred to him, but he wasn't sure whether he should voice it or not.

"what was that look for, angel?" He asked softly, his warm breath against his ear. His thumb drew circles along Nathaniel's side

"Oh, um… I-I was just thinking… like, what if we…" He grabbed a fistful of sand to fidget with. "…what if we got married..?"

V looked at him in surprise, "I…I'd love nothing more than to be married to you." He said softlyt having hought about it for a while now but never saying it aloud for fear if scaring Nathaniel. "Only if you're up for it though,"

"I-I mean, it's legal here, isn't it? Gay marriage?" Nathaniel turned to look at V again.

He nodded "it is generally accepted here on Earth, yes." He glanced down at Nathaniel and pressed a kiss to his brow "will you do me the honor and pleasure of being my husband?" He whispered
