(Okay! The person has been messaged! We're good to start, so I'm thinking we can roleplay a bit when they get to know each other on the cruise, then the crash, then the murder soon after they find themselves on the island. I'll get the starter up later today if time provides!)

((Also just so y'all know, I added a character log on the first page on like the third post, so all the templates are in one spot if they're needed for reference in the future!))

"And we're setting sail, ladies," The beautiful voice of the one and only Harper Becker rang out as she turned out of the harbor towards the open sea on her family-owned yacht, "Well, I suppose not with an actual sail, but nonetheless I'm so ready to fvcking party with you all!" Harper looked to each of the women on her boat with a grin that could win and break hearts. Each one of them had made such an influence on her life, they had all been a part of her life in a meaningful way at some point. Seeing them all together, here to celebrate her twenty-first birthday, made her perfect teeth smile even wider. The clear skies and smooth ocean certainly helped; it was guaranteed to be the best party of her life. Eevee, Colette, Seo Hyeon, Biba, Z, Vick… Harper just couldn't wait to catch up with all of them.

Yvette watched her old friend Harper in the helm station from the long leather seat on the deck as she ran a hand through her artificially orange hair. If someone would have told her this was where she'd be, on a yacht party with five strangers and her old best friend, venturing out to the open ocean, she wouldn't believe them for a minute. It was so strange to see Harper again, she looked exactly the same as she had all those years ago. Same taste in clothing too, if the neon pink bikini that showed off her chest quite well had anything to say about it. The yacht was new though, but she wouldn't be surprised if it was a gift from mommy and daddy for her eighteenth birthday, or something like that. The fact that it looked like it was never used before, with the luxurious white leather chairs everywhere, an abundance of space, and an entire lower deck that had some cozy lounge rooms they could sleep in was very on brand for the Becker family. It was probably worth a life's worth of her rent, if not infinitely more. If Harper's other friends were anything like her, it would probably be trashed by the end of the trip. Yvette's eyes wandered amongst said friends, strangers, at the thought. They all looked so different. She wondered if they, too, expected or hoped for something out of this trip, other than free beer and a crazy party, of course.

Harper bounced down from the driver's seat to the main deck with a breathtaking grin on her face, blonde curls bouncing with each step she took. "Autopilot has got the wheel now, and believe me girls, I got the most amazing trip route for us. A cruise by so very many islands, completely deserted and blooming with nature, and we will see some many stunning sunsets this upcoming week." She pranced around to sit on a single lounge chair, her eyes flickering to each girl, "I know none of you know each other, so to start off this wonderful trip, anyone have any suggestions for an icebreaker?"

(good to know! Thank you! I personally really love the organization of putting everything at the beginning in case of need for reference so i appreciate that ^^)

Seo Hyeon pulls her white hair up into a tiny ponytail, getting annoyed with how much it was blowing in her face and how it tickled the back of her neck. The small piece of hair curls down into a small "C" shape, some strands too short for the ponytail and falling out of it. Her eyes never seemed to focus on one thing as she looks around, taking in the view, her arms wrapped around herself. She had on a white bikini with strawberries dotting it, the small leafy green tops of the brightly colored fruit complimenting the rest of the colors. Over that she had on a semi see-through swimsuit cover up that went to a little above the mid-part of her thighs. It was loose all around, the only secure part was the fact that it was hanging over her shoulders, threatening to blow away even at the slightest gust of wind.
She looks to Harper as she grins and she smiles back to her friend.
Yeah, she didn't know anyone around her. But that was okay because she knew Harper. She could stick with her right? Harper was the safe person in this situation, even if this specific situation wasn't her preference. She was doing this for Harper. It was her 21st birthday after all. And she knew she would have liked someone to be there for her on her 21st. It was the kind thing to do. And plus, this was going to be fun! What's the worst that could happen right? What? The girls get in a fight and someone goes home with hurt feelings, a black eye and maybe a bald spot.
Her fingers run over her matching strawberry earrings as her thoughts ran wild, her eyes running along the horizon as they float farther and farther away from land. It gave her a weird sort of anxiety, knowing she wouldn't see her boys for a bit, already missing them. But this was nothing she couldn't deal with. And certainly nothing she couldn't hide.
Seo Hyeon knew Harper didn't need her here, as she would have had invited someone else, or would be just fine with the people she had around her. She didn't doubt Harper maybe even paid some of these people to be here. She would be just fine without Seo Hyeon and she knew it.

Azelea on the other hand, was wearing a black one piece bathing suit with slits running horizontally over her stomach and sides. She leans over the railing, her braids falling over her shoulders and the golden jewelry reflecting the bright sunlight above them. She turns back to look at the girls, her eyes skimming over Harper as if she didn't care for her at all.
When she didn't have to, she wasn't about to act like she was a friend.
it's ridiculous she even thinks im gonna be friendly to her in the first place. That lying b!tch doesn't deserve friendship.
She scoffs to herself, her arms crossed. What did Harper really expect? For them all to become buddies over this trip? She really didn't buy it. Knowing Harper, Azelea assumed she had something planned. Everything already was revolving around her, but Z knew it would only get worse from here.
For now, she held her head high and assumed everyone else was as backstabbing as Harper. Even if they didn't look like it.

Colette excitedly looked over the edge of the yacht, her arms placed on the railing to keep her from falling into the water. Her dark hair fell in curls that cupped her face. She didn’t dare tie her hair back; she thought it looked awful. Colette wore a pastel yellow bikini. The top was tied around her neck, the color making her mulberry birthmark more noticeable than she’d like. Her earrings were nothing fancy, but she did have fun designs. Today’s earrings were little smiling suns. The scent of the ocean’s breeze came her way, slightly calming her nerves about being on a boat with complete strangers. How long has it been since I have been on or even near the ocean? A genuine thought regarding how she missed her childhood home. And why am I so nervous? I love meeting new people! She waved off her apprehensive thoughts. She would have to answer these questions later.

Colette looked around at all the other girls, catching Harper’s grin. She smiled back at her, disregarding any past discourse. Today was supposed to be a day of relaxation, but when Colette looked up at the sky, her stomach turned in circles. She didn’t want her weird anxious feelings to ruin Harper’s special day, so she kept her mouth shut. She felt ill, the color draining from her cheeks, but Colette didn’t have motion sickness. She shrugged it off, telling herself it would be okay. This was a dream come true. A literal paradise! She couldn’t let her anxieties stop her from achieving her goal: making new friends. That’s why you go to parties; to meet new people who have the same common friend. And if Colette wasn’t people-oriented, then was she really Colette?

Her bubble of thoughts broke when Harper spoke. When asked if they had any icebreaker suggestions, she stayed silent, afraid to speak when the whole boat was quiet. She definitely didn’t want any of the glaring eyes on her. She never wanted the limelight like other people. That would make her anxiety worse, and she was already about to explode. Keep calm Colette. There is nothing to worry about. Colette hoped for another person to speak, maybe something meaningful to comment on. She knew how many of these stories went, but this story was in real life. The chances of anything awful happening were very slim. This wasn’t a fairytale.

(I am sO sorry :’))(There’s been a heccin lot going on and I wasn’t really on Notebook for a hot sec)(I’m back)

Biba stands more off to the side, not very keen on being around other women she didn’t know. And it didn’t really help that the only thing they had in common was Harper. She keeps her arms across herself, holding her elbows, and her face neutral as she looks over the group. She was wearing a brown and tan striped, square crop top that fit her very loosely and a black, very plain bikini underneath. She wasn’t wearing any shoes, since she wasn’t found of the way they felt, nor was she wearing any necklaces or bracelets. Only her regular facial and ear piercings.
A chill runs up her spine, thinking of her little boys back at home as Harper mentioned the long trip ahead of them. She wasn’t sure what they were eating, who they were with, when they were going to bed, if their hair was being brushed- She obsessively goes over all the small details she would be missing in her head, spiraling down into anxiety.
She tucks a curl behind her ear, swallowing when Harper mentioned an ice breaker. She wasn’t found of anyone knowing her, but she wouldn’t mind knowing everyone else.
It’s fine. This will be fine. She tries to convince herself, not willing to speak up.

Vicki was the exact opposite, all smiles, sitting in the chair beside Harper. She was sporting a pastel blue one piece with watercolor style lemons and leaves across the silky fabric, a low top and an open back along with a long white, see-through kimono cardigan. She presses her sunglasses up, leaning on the arm of her lounge chair as her curls spill over her shoulder, glinting golden in the sunlight. She flashes a white smile, wearing a bright red lip stain across her perfect, round lips. “Good idea! We could go through quick introductions then start a game? Everybody's name, favorite drink and a random fact? Oh, or we could introduce ourselves and everyone say something for Harper, since we’re all here to celebrate this Queen.” She playfully nudges Harper, chuckling.
It wasn’t supposed to matter right now what had gone on in the past, the objective in the moment was to find out as much about people as she could. And the best way to that was playing it cool, playing to be Harper’s bestie. Which might have been less than true but it was a better idea than standing in the back row and avoiding eye contact with everyone.
