Alex just chuckled darkly, "Alright newbie, alright. Just don't get mad when you don't."
Alex just chuckled darkly, "Alright newbie, alright. Just don't get mad when you don't."
Jay glanced at him and huffed, “Whatever…” he realized they had reached his apartment complex, “I have to go.”
Alex nodded, making a mental note of where he lived, “I never caught your name, by the way.”
“Jay Silverlight.” He extended his hand, “You?”
“Alexander Hale, a pleasure.” Alex shook his hand firmly.
"Same to you.". Good day!". He walked inside the building.
Alex stayed outside the building for a moment longer, calculating the exists and windows and security. He smirked slightly before waking away.
Jay got to his room and changed into his regular clothes, He was interesting… He thought sitting on the couch with his evidence.
On the way back to his work, Alex received a call from one of his men. A man had been caught stealing from his vaults. Even if it was an inconvenience, it meant he could leave another body for… Jay, to find.
Jay eventually gave up after 3 hours of looking at his evidence over and over. He ran his fingers through his messy hair and sighed, "I must find out who they are…" He yawned.
It wasn’t long after that, that Jay’s phone buzzed with a message, Tenebras has struck again, we think he’s still in the area. And a link to where the scene had taken place.
"Fuck!". Jay put his uniform back on and rushed to the location, finding that he was the first one there. He saw a bleeding lifeless body on the ground, "Damnit Tenebras!"
“Why are you damning me?” Alex spoke up from where he was standing. If it was anybody but Jay he wouldn’t have. He stepped into the light, glad only the top half of his face was showing, “What have I done wrong? This man had it coming.”
Jay turned around in shock, his eyes wide and slightly afraid, "Tenebras…What is your problem? Why do you kill so many people?!". He stepped forward wanting to get closer to him, They said I couldn't find him, they were wrong…
Alex chuckled a little and took a step closer to Jay himself, “The people who I kill or have my men kill, have wronged me. This man,” He pointed to the man on the floor with his dagger, “Tried to steal from me so, he had to go. His family will be devastated.”
Jay looked at the body and took a couple steps more to him, "A lot of people must've wronged you then, with your murder count…"
“Yes, and it’s fun,” Alex smirked though Jay couldn’t see, “Many people in New York City can kill you, cutie, but I can do it the most efficiently,” He took the last step towards Jay, cornering him up against a wall, “You gonna turn me in? Or let me go?” He brought his face close to his.
Jay grew nervous, he was pressed against the wall, "I need to turn you in, I-its my job!" He was unsure how he was going to do it, but he was determined.
Alex raised an eyebrow, “You don’t. You can let me go free. I mean, you can sure as hell try and take me in, but your body might join his,” He pointed the dagger at the man, “Then again, you are quite attractive so it would be a waste to kill you.”
Jay gulped, “F-fine! I’ll let y-you go.” Jay stared at him, his eyes wide.
"Wonderful," Alex let his eyes drag slowly over Jay's figure, almost like a predator stalking its pray.
Jay shook his heart pounding in his chest, he wanted to go home. He nervously shifted his bag which still had the useless evidence in it.
It was then that faint sirens could start to be heard, "I'll see you round cutie." He sent Jay a wink before it looked like he disappeared into the shadows and was gone.
Jay sank to the ground his heart still pounding, he heard the sound of police sirens and watched his fellow policemen run into the crime scene. Afraid they would ask what happened, he quickly stood before they saw him, looking at the corpse.
Alex stayed close by the crime scene, watching closely at what was happening. His own heart was pounding, mind focused on Jay despite how much he didn’t want to think about him.
