Robin Hood. A tale of a man who stole from the wealthy and gave to the poor. A tale as old as time, back in a time where knights clashed and chivalry was only for the select few good-hearted enough to follow the strict code given.

But when Robin Hood left to seek out his own form of justice, he left something important behind, someone important. The gentle and kind Maid Marian, a soul too good and kind for this world. Or so everyone thinks. But deep down, Marian is restless, unhappy with her life in the court, and so she decides to jump ship and find her lost lover to show him, to show the world, that she’s more capable than anyone would think.

So yeah, I want another one of these. You can either be Robin or Marian, just whichever sounds more interesting. Just be like, somewhat familiar with the original story and we’re good.

Anyhways, to the rules!

I don’t really care, so we can just jump in to make things go faster.

Marian fluffed her curly, jet black hair a little as she prepared to leave. She retrieved a earthy brown cloak and her best, most sensible boots and slung her bag over her shoulders. It was good, to have a pair of nice, sensible boots. They were horribly scuffed and needed a good polish, which was all the better. Shiny boots were really quite a waste, when you thought about it. They were only for decoration, and where Marian was going, decoration was the farthest from necessary.

She slung her father’s sword and sheath onto her belt, the weight heavy in a more metaphorical sense than a literal sense. Marian has always been a strong woman, so carrying a sword was easy enough. But the weight of the prospect of taking someone’s life… that was the heaviness that nearly sunk her. No matter, she’d try to avoid using it then.

Marian had disguised herself well, she decided traveling under the pretense of a poor, possibly indentured servant was easier than her full, decadent, duchess-to-be self. And she was right. As she and her horse travelled along the roads to Sherwood Forest, the last known location of her lover, she was barely paid a second glance.

When she reached the edge of the woods, she pulled her shawl close around her face and rode on, taking the deer paths and places farther from the main road. It would help her avoid bandits, as a wise old man had handily supplied on her journey, and give her a good scenic view of things. She finally stopped her horse as night fell, securing her belongings so those who might try to steal from her would have to wake her up before retrieving anything, and that she could easily grab her sword and fight back if anyone did.
