Finally stepping out of the plane, Oliver smiled taking in a deep breath of fresh air. They had been on the plane for who knows how long and it was quite the ride. The school had basically bought every seat available on that plane in the economy class, of course, the teachers and chaperones got business class though. The class had all finished getting off the plane and grouped together to listen to the head-teacher. They then boarded the metro and rushed to the closest metro station to their hotel. Upon arriving, Oliver threw his luggage in his room and went back outside to wait for the other two schools.
Tara cracked her knuckles as she stayed seated inside the plane. They had only just landed, just after another one of the schools. She wasn't sure what it was called, but that didn't matter at the moment. She was in a whole other freaking country! The girl seemed a bit eager to stretch her legs and see how the new air felt in her lungs. Most likely better than the polluted city air. Finally an announcement was given over the intercom: "We have now arrived. Thank you for flying with us."
At that moment there was a collective sound of shuffling to get unbuckled, cheers, and sighs of relief. It didn't help that there were students standing, trying to push their way closer to the upper storage for their carry-ons. Tara was grateful she had her simple satchel packed with only the essentials: Her phone, headphones, a book she said she would read (though she was half lying), and her wallet.
The staff came from a few seats in the front of their current class, and began instructing the students to slowly file out. Of course there were the few who were the rebels, speeding out of the plane. The teen rolled her eyes. Can't even follow basic directions.
Perhaps an hour later, everyone was crammed into public transport with their suitcases and were to wait another 20 minutes or so. Peachy. At least the metro was… okay yeah, she preferred the plane. It was less cramped and was a smoother ride. At least her music playing in her ears was distraction enough. She must have fallen asleep as an elbow rammed into her side. Tara glared at said person angrily until they pointed out the towering hotel all three schools would be staying in. It was bigger than she expected. Definitely worth it.
Again, after the hustle to get everyone back on solid ground, the teachers began reading off room numbers. "Of course, we will have to separate boys from girls, but each room will have a student from each school. This trip is both a learning experience as well as a friendship making experience!"
As long as she didn't get some girly-girls to room with, Tara really had no issue. She didn't know about the friendships being somewhat forced, but it wasn't the end of the world.
"Tara, room 138. Here's your key."
Here goes nothing.
