Goes by the saying of treat people the way you want to be treated.
Other: Sorry the personality bit is short! I hope it’s ok :)
(Alright! Should we get started?)
(Sure! Where should we start?)
(Maybe they've already known each other for a while and they're going to a party? )
(Should they already be living together? A party sounds good.)
(Okay! Do you want to get us started?)
Lilith stepped out of the cab, her sneakers hitting the wet pavement of the driveway to the parties house. She walked in, hoping to see someone she knew there. She slipped into the bustling house, already spotting a few people drunk and dancing the night away. She made her way to the kitchen, her eyes moving to meet her roommate, Jackson.
Jackson leans against the kitchen island, an untouched bottle of beer in his hand. Loud music blast from the speakers in the living room as several people drunkenly dance on furniture. Shaking his head, he diverts his gaze. Parties aren't really his scene so he tends to stand off to the side by himself during the duration of the event. Much to his relief, his roommate, Lilith, arrives. He weaves through the thick crowd of people and approaches her.
She looked up at him, a faint blush coming across her cheeks. "Hey" she called to him over the music, her hands going to play with the hem of his shirt. They had been friends for a while and touching like that wasn't much of a deal.
"Hey," He flashes her a bright smile, glad to no longer be left alone in such a crazy environment. He places his hand lightly on her arm and guides her into the less crowded part of the kitchen. They might actually be able to hear each other speak now.
She followed his lead, hopping up onto the counter so she could see him better. They could definitely hear him better now. She poured herself a shot, taking it down with ease. "So, bumpin' party eh?" she laughed, her hands landing once again at the hem of his shirt.
He takes a small sip of his beer before setting it next to her on the counter, always one to closely monitor his alcohol intake. "If by bumpin' you mean loud, then yes," He chuckles. "Did you have a good day?" He had left early in the morning so this is the first time he's seen her all day.
"Yeah" she hummed, wincing softly as a person screamed at the top of their lungs the song that was playing as they danced on the table. "You?" she asked, turning to face him.
"I was really busy. Some of the more experienced cops took down a drug smuggling ring so there was a lot of chaos and even more paperwork," Jackson tells her before glaring in the general direction of the person who screamed. None of these people can sing well so he doesn't understand why they even try.
"Aw, so this should give you the chance to loosen up a little right?" she asked, turning towards him. She was wearing a tight, cropped, yellow tank top that had a square cut neck with black jeggings, her hair pulled back like usual.
"You know that I don't know how to loosen up," He points out, running his hands down the sides of his jeans. Almost all of the time, he's just a big ball of stress. "Who's party is this anyways? Do you know?" He asks, unable to recall that information.
"My friend Sofia told me it was one of her friends, but she's up in a bedroom somewhere," she replied, running her hands through her hair after she had taken it out of the ponytail the curly waves falling around her face, framing it perfectly.
"Which one is Sofia?" Jackson asks, his brow furrowing as he tries to think. Picking up his beer, he takes a swig. Being around Lilith helps him relax and it really shows. "Never mind, I'll remember eventually." They should have some fun while they're at this party instead of just sitting around and talking. They can always do that at home.
"Brown hair, blue eyes" she replied, watching his movements as he got up. "Where are you going?" she asked, still sitting on the counter. She could hear a splash into the pool from outside, startling her a little bit, "Sound like someone's going swimming" she laughed, looking out the kitchen window to see a couple making out in the pool.
"I am going to go take my chances in the living room. You coming with?" He questions as he pauses in his steps to turn and look at her. Upon hearing the splash of water, he glances outside. Drunk people and a pool, that's an accident waiting to happen. He shakes his head lightly before focusing back on Lilith.
She smirked softly, looking down at her lap. "Yea why not" she replied, taking another shot before jumping off the counter and following him into the center of the living room, biting her lip coyly.
