"Oh what an honor." Antonios chuckled. He lightly shook his head. All he knows is witchcraft and the bullshit people pay to see. Magic; he can't help that fact he had no true idea that some form of it is true. He said in a rather sarcastic tone, "Well my sincerest apologies then miss. I still have no idea what the hell you just did and with what."
A ladder? He panted then rolled his eyes before continuing to follow. Sure Antonios is in his mid-forties and is starting to get old. In his argument, he can still run as fast as he did when he was a young man. He is doing his best for the sake of the case and also his curiosity. Hell, for a man his age, he's probably doing better than the rest of them.
"How much further till you stop, Miss?" He asked while picking up the pace. Who knows where the hell she's going? As long as they stop soon and will not run for a few moments, he doesn't care. He just doesn't care. All he really wants is a moment to breathe and to get answers.
Clarissa doesn’t pay attention, she just climbs to the rooftop and keeps going. She jumps from roof to roof, unseen by the droves of officers and concerned citizens below. “What’s the matter Mr. Knight, can’t keep up?” she shouted behind her, loud enough to be heard by her new gentleman friend but quiet enough that nobody would suspect them.
Finally, she stops on the rooftop of a well known brothel, unlocking a trapdoor with a key that led off the roof into the halls of the place. “Come along, the ladies will have a laugh at you and then we’ll be able to talk.” she beckoned the detective, who to her surprise had managed to keep up.
Alright, perhaps he has been a wee bit cocky before the lady began to get onto the roof and keep going. Muttering every singlr curse that he knew, he followed in suit. "My youth may be behind me, but I can still keep up with you," He retorted, laughing afterwards. Antonios was careful not to jinx himself while hopping from one roof to the other. It wouldn't be fun to slip nor would it be any fun to slow down. They will eventually according to his assumptions.
Panting, he came to a halt. His hair was nowhere near neat as it was when he first ran into her. His chest lightly heaved while he tried to catch his breath. Antonios laughed lightly while shaking his head. "I could give those ladies more than a laugh, you know….But come on, I'll go down first so I can help you get in." He muttered an "excuse me" then slid down through the trapdoor. Then with his chin tilted up, he held his arms out.
“Do anything to anyone here and you’ll find yourself missing a very important piece of yourself.” she said, eyeing generally below Clark’s waist, yet not quite at his knees. She didn’t accept the help down, simply jumping down and landing on the ground with a quiet thud. “Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to go find a friend. You socialize, and behave.” she said, wandering off.
(Sorry for the short response, I’ve been on and off this site for a while.)
(It's okay. You're good :D )
Antonios tensed up at her comment. Well, it's not like he was really going to do anything to anyone. Or really? No, he's still on detective mode, sort of. He took a step back to make sure that neither of them would get hurt. With furrowed brows, he bit on the inside of his lip. He rolled his eyes. "I think I'll just stay here and wait for you." Then he added on, "And don't worry, I'll behave."
