She pursed her lips as she began following the ghost. It also seemed natural to them to take the name on the grave, but… that was weird, right?
“Maybe we could just go with something simple to call ourselves,” they suggested, shrugging. “I mean, I wouldn’t mind if you simply called me ‘the vampire,’ if I’m being honest.”
Eve. Something in her mind held onto the name, quite annoyingly. Eve, Eve.
“Well, do you want to call yourselves the same way, or is there another way I can address you?”
Have them call you Mari… Her heart whispered to her, and she paused for a moment before giggling. "I don't think being called 'the ghost' sounds quite fun." She teased ever so softly. "I know that person's name was Mariana…the one whose grave I woke up on, I mean." She explained before humming. "And the name feels right, but it doesn't feel right to take it from the person. Maybe Mari? It's simple and easy to remember?" She shrugged her shoulders before giggling softly and started to do backflips in the air. She felt like they were too tense. Maybe they just needed to smile?
"I don't want to call you just, the vampire. Can I call you vampy?" She titled her head at the vampire girl, before looking towards the ghost girl as she started to speak.
"Hmmm- I can call you Mari, yeah that works. I can't really seperate the name on my gravestone like that, but I don't want to be called the werewolf either."
She huffed softly, trying to think of something.
Airi
Something about that name just sounded right to her, but it felt wrong to use it if it eventually didn't belong to her.
"Any ideas?'
They glared at the werewolf. “Absolutely not.” She thought ‘vampy’ was the most ridiculous name in existence, and she just couldn’t accept as their own. She looked between the two of them and sighed. “I can’t just create a nickname out of the name on my gravestone either… unless you simply called me E…” she paused. “The last name was Crimson, right? Maybe you could just call me Red. It fits.” She smirked with amusement, gesturing to their bloodied mouth.
Their hand dropped to their side. “Mari,” she nodded to the ghost, then turned to the werewolf again. “Hmm, well, what was the last name on your grave?”
She giggles softly at that and pressed her lips together, making a noise as she thought before humming. "I don't like red, but maybe Scarlet? It sounds cool! Plus it makes you seem like you're Red Riding Hood's daughter." She laughed softly and glanced over at their wolf friend. "Honestly I have no clue. I feel like the names that were on our graveyards were most fitting, but I don't-…unless we have some proof that those are us who died, I still don't feel comfortable enough to use those names. Those were people who died-…" She grew lost in thought once more.
"Uhhh- ahhh- maybe since the tombstones last name said..Kenosha, I can be Ken? Or maybe Kenny?" She looked between her two friends as they were trying to figure out names.
"I think that works for me, what do you guys think?" She tilted her head at the two of them.
"Scarlet is pretty cool!" She grinned at the ghost girl.
“Red Riding Hood,” she repeated, laughing. “Alright. I like Scarlet too.” Touching a hand to her chin, they looked to the werewolf. “Ken…? I don’t know. I think Kenny is better personally, but whatever you prefer.”
They then glanced at the ghost— Mari, her hand dropping to her side. “I mean, it would explain things. If the names on the graves were ours. But how…? If we died, then how are we here now?” She looked down at their hand, remembering the smell of blood. “How do we even… exist as we are?”
Mari glanced over at Scarlet as well and paused for a few moments. "I agree! Kenny sounds better to me. It's something more gender-neutral." She whispered softly and gently before she paused. "I don't know. But we're not exactly alive, either. We're a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost. None of us should really exist in this world. But yet we do." She hummed, thinking to herself for a few moments. "I don't know how we died, or how we were brought back to life, but we were. We should at least appreciate that a little bit?"
"Kenny it is then." She nodded to the two of them before just letting them talk with just the two of them.
"I don't know…but maybe we should appreciate this second chance at life even if it is a weird one. We can try and figure out memories of our past lives together or just learn to live as we are and enjoy each other's company.'
She spoke, looking between the two girls.
Scarlet sighed. “We’re undead,” she observed. “The living dead.” Looking between the other two, they swept their long hair over her shoulder. “I would love to appreciate being somewhat alive again and move on, but… I don’t think I can. It’s just… so strange. What that dog said… I don’t know. We should at least be careful. We shouldn’t really… enjoy anything while the dog is after us. In my opinion.”
The cemetery gates emerged from the fog. Beyond them, fog still muddied the landscape, but Scarlet could make out a dirt path leading to a shadowy town, illuminated by moonlight.
She turned to the other girls, and offered her hands, so they could walk together holding them.
(I AM, SO SORRY- I Legit forgot Notebook existed for a few there-)
Mari hummed to herself for a few moments before she slowly nodded her head, cooing a little bit as she floated quietly through the air, not trusting herself to be on the ground anymore, just in case she fell in. "I mean, we're alive again though! Kinda-" She tilted her head, thinking to herself for a few moments before she giggled. "It's weird. Being dead but alive." She then listened to what Scarlet was saying and relaxed a little bit. "You're right. While that dog is after us, we shouldn't really relax. It could appear at any time, or attack us at any time and we'd have no way of fighting against it. We don't have any powers or anything like that." She paused for a moment before slowly putting her hand into the others, even though it took a little bit of effort. "What do you think…?" She turned her attention quietly to Kenny.
(LOL ITS OKAY but honestly it’s so fitting that I keep thinking this rp is dead and then it suddenly comes to life again-)
(It just comes back to life when I remember I actually don't just live on Discord and school and work doesn't run my ass ragged)
"Well I choose to not let that stupid dog ruin a second chance at life, even if its by being undead. Sure we need to be careful but that dosent mean we can't enjoy anything."
She spoke, feeling weirded out when the hand was stuck inside her and then pulled out.
"Who knows, maybe time will help us discover we actually have awesome abilities." She grinned at the ghost girl and scarlet.
(K don’t know how the handholding is working but uhhh)
Scarlet faintly made a noise of agreement, but for the most part still wasn’t sure. “The idea of having powers in interesting… I mean, maybe we do. If pop culture vampires, werewolves, or ghosts tells us anything…” they shrugged. “Who knows.”
Scarlet lead her friends out of the cemetery, eyes open and trying to see through the fog. Dark trees rose up on either side of the dark road, as if watching them.
(Like Scarlet held out her hands for Kenny and Mari to hold, but then Mari put her hands in Scarlet and Kenny’s so are they all holding hands? It doesn’t make sense ;;)
(I thought she put her hand through kenny?)
(Yes but I had meant for Mari to take one of Scarlet’s hands, and for Kenny to take the other)
(Wow I just disappeared off the face of the earth I'm so sorry)
( it's okay, it happens to the best of us)
