(Cool thanks ^^)
Emery made a little half-hearted shrug and looked away. Already they felt a little guilty, but they had already gotten the ants they wanted anyway. They just looked around awkwardly.
Then raising their gaze to the sky, they replied, “Letting Flint get some exercise. I thought I’d do a little light reading here too.” They looked back to Circe and gestured to the book.
Circe decides to nevermind their words towards the ants being used for their own selfish reasons. Instead looks down to her nails and bites them to scrape the dirt from underneath them, looking back towards Emery. "What is Flint? Or-who…." she asks, not understanding whether or not it was a living thing.
Her red eyes slide down towards the book and she creases her eyebrows. "the…" she tilts her head like a dog "the book is a Flint?" she asks, now even more confused before putting two and two together. "OH!!" she perks up "light reading. the book. The book isn't flint" she says with a small chuckle to herself.
Circe was often seen as dense or stupid. Though she may be both of those things, she never saw it as that. She more saw it as the fact that she was uneducated of ways for the others world around them.
Emery just smiled, waiting patiently for her to finish and get it. Then they nodded. “Flint is my familiar,” they explained, pointing to the sky. “The falcon. You might’ve seen her hovering over the area.”
(I feel bad writing back and forth when nobody else is so I'm gonna wait for others for a second :/)
(Yeah, felt that)
