Okay! I start, or you?
Okay! I start, or you?
You please :D
Okay!
"Let me see!"
"Ha, no. Look up our new roommate's social medias on your own time. I'm going to savor this photo for a long time," Caia laughed, staring at the picture of Drew on her phone. "I didn't know they'd be jacked! We had, like, one phone call. Holy hell, we have to convince them to date us."
"I won't know if you don't let me see-oh shit they really are jacked." Marcos said in a voice that was a bit too high and too loud for Caia's sensitive ears. "Whoa-ho. I mean, if they want to get together with us that's fine, but we should see if they're like, nice first."
"You do make a fair point. If they're kind of stupid but emotionally intelligent, then it's a done deal." Caia nodded, grinning and showing off her fangs a bit too much. She flipped off of her and Marcos's bed and landed on the floor gracefully. "Now, I need to get to work soon. If I'm not there when they arrive, text me updates." she got up to slip into her scrubs, and packed her back with miscellaneous supplies she'd probably want on her breaks.
It took awhile for Drew to finish getting everything into their car, it's not like they had a lot of stuff, they just had an absurdly small car. However, once they packed everything up, with the help of some bungee cords, the rest of the drive was smooth sailing. They had minimal traffic on their way from their Ma's farmhouse to the city and eventually pulled up to their new apartment building.
Drew parked their car and shouldered their biggest bag, taking the stairs to their new living quarters two at a time until they got up to the door. They put on their best smile and took a deep breath before knocking.
"Ahhh! They're here, they're here! Oh my gods, this is really happening!" Marcos said, pulling Caia along to the door, the two of them hurriedly whispering and chatting, like a pair of stereotypical teenage girls like you see in movies but never in real life. "Come on, come on, let me open the door!" Caia said as they both fought for dominance over the door handle. Marcos eventually won, and immediately a huge blush crossed his face, staring directly up, and up, at their new roommate. "H-hi." they said in unison, a bit scared and awed.
Drew smiled widely and let go of their bag strap to wave, accidentally letting it fall as they waved. Thankfully, they managed to grab it before it hit the ground. "Shit- Uh- Sorry… Hi?" They stuttered out awkwardly, looking sheepish.
"Oh, welcome, darling, to our humble abode! Caia here is the idiot one, and I am the second idiot, at your service! Hahahhahahaha, yeah, we're just thing one and thing two over here." Marcos pulled their hat over their ears, eye twitching a little with stress. "Anyways, do you wanna see your room?" he asked.
Drew nodded, pulling their bag back over onto their shoulder and gripping the strap tightly. "That would be lovely! I'm Drew Havens, it's nice to meet you." Their eyes seemed to crinkle a bit with how much they were smiling. "I have a few more bags down in my car that I can grab once I put these down."
"Oh, please do, muscles." Caia muttered so only Marcos with his phenomenal hearing would register what she said. "Ah, well, I do think it would be for the best if we got you moved in, and soon." Marcos said, nodding their head some. "Caia has to leave soon, I hope you won't mind just my company for the time being." they said softly.
"That's quite alright!" Drew slowed their usual pace, making sure they were keeping up with Marcos and Caia. "I was hoping to fix up my room and get to know my new roommates. My Ma made some brownies if you want some?"
(Fixed up my response a bit, I thought it sounded awkward :)
(I imagine Drew with just the strongest Southern accent ever. They're just a country gay in my mind lol.)
"Ooh, I would love some! Unfortunately, Caia must leave, so I suppose we'll have to finish off your sweet treats all by ourselves." Caia gave a sour look at Marcos as he said this, but didn't say anything. She didn't even eat many human sweets anyways.
(I'm glad that was coming across lol)
"Oh no! Well if there's not one left by the time you come back, I could always make you some? They never come out as good as my Ma's, but I do have her recipe." Drew sent a warm smile toward Caia, clasping their hands together and all together looking like an angel.
"Oh my gosh, he's perfect." Caia whispered so only Marcos would hear. Then, she moved to exit, and then the only people in the house were Drew and Marcos. "I do, uh, art and such, so I don't really go to work per se." Marcos explained, leading Drew to the next room. "This will be your room, and uh, yeah!" he squeaked.
Drew dropped their bag onto the bed and nodded. "Thank you! I just got a job teaching up at the local college, ancient history." They looked very proud about that, the college was known for being selective, even with teachers. "Can you help me grab the rest of my stuff? If we both do it, it should only take one trip, and then, brownies!"
"I think you overestimate my muscle mass. Wait, you're a teacher?" that's kind of hot, actually, Marcos thought. "Well, that… is interesting." they said instead, not wanting to make a fool of himself.
"Yeah! I recently finished up my doctorate for it, then I got accepted at the college and moved here for that. Plus, I think my Ma's glad not to have my hang around the house as much." They shook off their jacket and folded it, setting it on the bed gently. They wore a white tank underneath it. "And don't worry, I can grab most of it."
(Bro it's taking all of my willpower not to end every sentance they say with a :) hdcbjksalhdsa)
(kjfssajgkls yeah lol.)
Marcos stared at Drew's rippling muscles, glad that they at least didn't visibly blush and were good with keeping a strict poker face. "Heh- yeah. Uh, speaking of, but not really, do you mind if I step out for a moment?"
"Not at all, I can head down and start unloading." Drew opened the door for Marcos, keeping their hand above his head so he could go under it. "I promise I won't have you carry everything." They laughed.
"Alright then." he said, exiting the room and rushing straight to theirs and Caia's. They promptly screamed into a pillow, blush finally creeping up on their brown cheeks. "AHHHHGH!" was roughly what it sounded like, but the walls were fairly thick and Drew probably couldn't hear them.
Drew popped in an earbud and started heading back downstairs to their car, humming as they walked. Today was going great! Their new roommates were nice and Marcos seemed funny!
(Marcos: O//O
Drew: :))
(pfft-)
When Marcos was ready, he exited his room, but by that time it had been an hour and he suddenly realized that they'd totally ditched Drew. "Shit, shit, what do I do?" they said, pacing through the hallways-and unknowingly bumping into Drew. "Guh! Sorry, I didn't see you there."
Drew just smiled when they say Marcos and gave a thumbs up. "That's okay! I brought up the rest of my boxes and started putting everything away." They didn't seem bothered at all that Marcos hadn't shown up, okay to do most of the work by themself anyways.
