North appeared in Neo’s library, walking to his door and knocking quietly. She reached down and gripped the door handle, yawning while she waited for Neo’s answer.
(Yes)
Neo had dozed off on his desk with a pen in hand. He twitched when North knocked, and made a faint sleepy noise in response.
North opened the door and walked over to his desk, crouching down in front of it. “I’m just gonna leave you be and go talk to Insanity about M.” She said quietly.
Neo made a faint noise and his skeletal pen-holding hand twitched. He stayed peaceful and snored softly.
North smiled a little and stood up, closing his door behind her and knocking on Life’s instead.
Life called for her to enter softly, turning to face her in his chair when she entered.
“Just passing through.” She smiled at him, knocking for the third time on Deaths door.
Life smiled back and waved to her. “You can just go ahead in. Death is probably doing something that is distracting him from answering the door.”
“Okay, thanks.” She said, opening the door and stepping inside Deaths office.
Death glanced up when she shut the door to his room.
“Oh, hello, North.” His voice was tart and quiet.
“Hey. How are you?” She asked, leaning against the wall.
Death shrugged. “I am okay. How are you?”
“Tired. How’s M?”
Death shrugged again. “I am not sure.”
“Can I talk to Insanity then?” She sighed a little.
Death nodded. “It’s just a teleport away.” He stretched out a skeletal hand.
North took a step forward and took his hand.
The moment they touched hands she appeared in Insanity’s underground lab. It looked the same.
“Heyyy? Insanity?” She called.
There was no response. Her voice echoed down the massive hall.
“Oookay..guess I’ll wait.” She sighed, not feeling up to exploring a lab belonging to the god of Insanity.
Insanity was hunched up above M’s soul in his office, which was quite far down the hall. He was poking it up into the air after some modifications, but it just plopped back down onto the desk.
North sighed and started catiously down the hallway, making sure not to bump into anything as she did so.
Insanity frowned and picked up the dull pink soul. He carefully left it hovering in the air. A few moments later, another thunk filled his office.
