A small weight was lifted off Adrianna’s chest. That’s good, at least. She liked the idea of people thinking of her as mythical. A smile returned to her face. “I… don’t think so. Trust me, if I could, I would. It gets a little boring down here. I’d love to go somewhere else for a change,” she replied with a wistful sigh.
Syrune bit her lip. If only there was a way for me to get her on land. "Do you dry up if you're out of water?"
(wait should i have it so she can… might be a little easier?)
(ok! i think it would be cute if she could so-)
“Well, I’ve never really tried. I usually swim around or whatever. I stay off land, stay out of sight. My parents warned me against it,” Adrianna said with a shrug. She was always one to break rules, but this one scared her too much to break. Her eyes lit up. “I could always try, though!”
Syrune smiled. "Sure! And if it doesn't work out, I can just push you back on land!"
“Please don’t let me die, if that starts to happen,” Adrianna replied with a laugh before checking to see if anyone else was around and hopping up onto the dock. This time, she sat so none of her was in the water. It was uncomfortable for a few moments, but after that her fins traded shape for feet. The transformation travelled up her tail until it reached her waist.
She had a full human body, given that her feet were webbed and there were small scales on her ankles. Other than that, human. “Woah!” She exclaimed, face a mix of surprise and happiness. Adrianna tried to push herself up, but her new legs are a bit wobbly, and she quickly fell back down.
(she's not wearing pants, is she? Just wanted to check really quick)
(hm. i guess she wouldn’t be, but she also could be if that’s uncomfortable dkdjjdjd)
(I was just asking cause Syrune could be all flustered n stuff-)
Syrune was flushed, but she quickly took off her sweatshirt and tossed it over Adrianna's legs. Thank goodness I wore something underneath! "Um… You'll want to cover that… part." She avoided the mermaid's gaze, her face completely red.
Adrianna tilted her head, obviously confused. She didn’t totally grasp the situation, as the standards certainly weren’t the same where she came from. She smiled a bit at how flustered the other got, but shrugged all the same. She wrapped the article of clothing around her waist, hoping it was enough to quell the other girl’s embarrassment.
“This better?” she asked, one eyebrow raised.
"Y-yeah," she chuckled, still a bit flushed. Christ, get a hold of yourself! She held her hand open to help Adrianna up. "I'll catch you if you fall this time."
