Abrose laughed and nodded, a light blush along his cheeks and nose. "If I'm being completely honest, I don't really know what to do at any of these functions." He shook his head with a sigh. "Even at these breakfasts and dinners, I fumble on manners or appropriate topics to speak about. Shore's usually the one to engage in all that, not willingly but he does it anyways." He sagged in his chair out of relief and tilted his head to look directly at the ceiling, surprised to find that even that was highly decorated with paintings of various scenes.
He sat up straighter and focused on Malachi, taking in his tired yet somehow still regal look. Abrose couldn't image he himself looked great. "Was there a reason why you wanted to have breakfast?" He asked, tilting his head curiously as a server came by with their breakfast. He nod3d his thanks and dug in, nearly groaning at how delicious the food was. "It's absolutely alright if there wasn't. I don't mind enjoying the morning with you." He added on quickly, dabbing at his lips with a napkin. "I'll be heading back to Carniel soon now that it's daylight. I wonder how my sister and brother will take the proposal." He mused with a laugh "I hope we'll, it would truly be sad if my siblings didn't get along with my husband-to-be."
