Sebastian kissed Bryn's nose, chuckling. "Normally, I would agree with you. However, there are some things we need to do. Like that fashion show you promised me. We need the clothes to be able to do that." He finally sat up, fixing his shirt.
"Ugh." Bryn snuggled into the covers for a few more minutes before he forced himself out of bed. He went straight to Sebastian's closet, clad only in a pair of boxers, and grabbed the biggest button-up he could find. "You're lucky I like you so much," he grumbled, buttoning up the shirt. It fit him like a short dress.
"Trust me, I know." He himself had gotten his clothes back on fully, blaizer and tie included. At the moment, he was brushing his hair with a small comb. Glancing at Bryn to make sure he wasn't looking, Sebastian combed the sparse, pitiful excuse for a mustache on his upper lip. It was more like a spattering of slightly darker hairs, not really with a true form.
Bryn rolled up the sleeves to his forearms and decided this would just have to work for now. It was close enough to pet clothing that people wouldn't question it. Besides, he kind of liked it. It smelled like Sebastian. Speaking of Sebastian… he meandered over to where he was standing. "Whacha doing?"
Sebastian jumped slightly, fumbling with the comb slightly.
"N-Nothing," he nearly squeaked, voice cracking.
"Y-you look in-role in that," he said he said quickly, clearing his throat to fix his voice and to change the subject before Bryn called out his blatant lie.
Bryn raised an eyebrow at him to prove that he knew Sebastian was spewing bullshit, but didn't comment. Instead, he smoothed down the shirt and leaned up against him. "Thanks, it's yours. Now all we need to do is find a temporary collar so you can drag me around."
Sebastian winced slightly at the eyebrow raise, but let it drop.
"I think I might have an old choker around here from my expirimenting with fashion a few years back," he said, wrapping an arm around Bryn.
Bryn giggled at the mental image and leaned into him. "Unless it's a dog collar, it's not really going to suit our purposes. Oh! Do you have a dog? We could just steal the collar and leash for a bit."
Sebastian started to shake his head, then thought for a moment.
"I think I used to," he said. "I can always call down and see if we still have the collar around somewhere." He shivered at the thought of Bryn wearing a dog collar, but they didn't have much of a choice.
Bryn nodded, looking up at Sebastian curiously when he shivered. "What's wrong? I'm not really upset about wearing a dog collar again as long as it's not one of those electric shock collars." He shook at the memory. His last owner was as cruel as he was creative. "Those are awful."
Sebastian pulled Bryn closer. What exactly had Bryn gone through with past owners?
"I just don't like to have to pretend like this. You're not my pet, your my friend."
Bryn laughed and leaned into his touch, comforted by the warmth. "Well I hope you don't treat all your friends like this, otherwise I'll have to get very jealous. And…" He sobered somewhat. "I know. I don't like being treated like a pet. But… I really do want to stay with you. This is the best way for us to do that, even if we both hate it."
Sebastian chuckled at his own word choice, then nodded slightly.
"It really would be worth all of that if we get to stay together." Sebastian hugged Bryn for a moment. Then, he pulled back.
"I'll call down for the collar," he stated reluctantly.
Bryn kissed him sweetly and pulled away as well. He meandered over to the bed and laid down in it, glad that he and Sebastian were being intimate only moments before. The more freshly used he looked, the less attention he would attract for sleeping in a human's bed. "I'll be waiting right here."
Sebastian nodded, stepping to the doorway.
"I'll be right back." With that, he stepped out of his room. The caller was at the end of the hall; Sebastian didn't like having one in his room since the callers had cameras, but it was moments like this that he wished he did. He stood there, finger on the call button, asking for the old dog collar and leash to be brought up.
Bryn stayed curled up in the bed, unbuttoning his shirt to expose his collarbones and mussing up his hair. He then snuggled into a pillow and tried to pretend to be asleep.
Finally, Sebastian stepped back into the room. He didn't say anything to Bryn, though; he knew a maid would be up any minute. Instead, he walked over and lightly kissed Bryn's forehead before stepping away at the sound of footsteps in the hall. The maid appeared not a moment later, holding a slightly worn red collar and a red leash.
"Here are the items you requested, sir." Sebastian took them fromher outstretched hands. The maid glanced every so often at Bryn, almost questioning his presence, before examining the marks with a satisfied look. She collected the food trays before she finally left, closing the door behind her with a soft click.
Bryn sat up as soon as she was gone, smoothing down his hair and buttoning the shirt up a bit. Once he didn't look freshly fucked, he meandered over to Sebastian. The collar wasn't bad at all. He almost didn't mind that it was about to be fastened around his neck. "Will you put it on for me?"
"I don't really have a choice, do I." He said it as a statement, not a question. He fiddled with the clasp for a moment, reminding himself the entire time that is was for the best, and that it didn't really mean anything to thembecause they knewthe truth. Finally, he slipped it around Bryn's neck, unable to help from pursing his lips slightly. He didn't want to choke Bryn out with the collar, but he couldn't exactly leave it extremely loose. It took a moment, but he finally found a sweet spot. He stepped back, focusing on Bryn's face as to not see the collar.
Bryn froze as Sebastian tightened it, swallowing nervously. He hated the feeling of it, had half a mind to claw in from his neck and run, but he didn't. He stayed perfectly still until it was on and then he hugged Sebastian tight and buried his face in his chest.
Sebastian wrapped his arms around Bryn, burrying his face in Bryn's hair. He rubbed Bryn's back lightly, wanting nothing more that to take the collar back off and just stay in this room forever, to keep Bryn from ever having to face reality and just be together. He wanted to tell Bryn this, but all he could mutter was, "I'm so sorry."
"I know," he whispered, blinking back tears. "I… I know." The only thing keeping him from breaking down was Sebastian's touch. The warmth on his back, his head, his waist. He leaned up after a few seconds, kissed Sebastian with glassy eyes and shaky breath. "I… I think I love you."
Sebastian kissed Bryn back softly, holding Bryn as tightly as he dared. He gazed into Bryn's eyes, fighting back tears as he responded.
"I- I think I love you too." He let out a mix ofa chuckle and a supressed sob. "I think I love you a lot."
Bryn let out a sound that matched Sebastian's- something lost between a laugh and a sob- and fisted his hands in the fabric of his shirt. Tears started to roll down his cheeks, slow and silent, and he only kissed Sebastian harder. "God, out of all the people in the world, my heart just had to decide on you."
Sebastian reached up with one hand to wipe Bryn's tears away; he could barely keep from crying as it was. He gave a soft smile.
"Like you said, w-we should listen to our hearts." He kissed Bryn tenderly, tears threatening to spill out. God, he hated this world so much. All he wanted was to be with Bryn, but this seemed to be the one thing the world wouldn't let him have.
