Your character has superpowers, and the government, since they can't find a way to use your character for their own selfish ends, has decided to imprison them instead.

But they get out. After years of experimentation and hurt, being pumped with sedatives and other drugs, they get out of there. They don't even remember how, they just… did. Somehow, some way.

And so they run, as far away as possible. But they can't get far, the many drugs they've been given are still in their system. So they find the first person on the street they can, begging to be saved.

Fortunately, my character is a very nice if a little too trusting surgeon with a knack for finding people in need of help. So when they meet your character at the end of their shift, of course they take them home to help them get back to normal.

Yes I'm stealing this idea from another RP because I have a character I want to use and this feels like a good prompt for them. This can be a romance, but it can also be just platonic friends/found family if that's more your style.

I'll post a template when someone joins. Rules are no one liners, no being overpowered, don't be an ass, and have fun.

Name: Jeno
Age: 28
Gender/Pronouns: AMAB (He/Him/His)
Orientation: Omnisexual
Appearance: Jeno stands roughly around six foot two to six foot three. His skin is a warm ivory tone. He has a rectangular muscular build. His white colored hair is short and curtain styled. Also his almond-shaped eyes are a very bright icy-blue. (It originally was a dark brown, same goes for his eyes.) All over his arms are light scars from experiments, but some are more noticeable compared to others. On the lower right side of his abdomen, there's another scar, but he doesn't remember. There is also a small scar underneath his left eye from the fire accident.

Upon escaping, he wears a light gray prison uniform with the numbers "69185" on the left side along with basic black flats. On his wrists are these clear bracelets that prevent him from using his powers. They're like handcuffs, but they don't bound his hands together.
Personality: Jeno used to be a very vibrant and charming person before everything changed for him. Now he is just a shell of what he used to be, but his true personality is hidden under many layers. For the most part, he is a fearless person. If someone is in danger or needs help, he'll just jump in right away. Jeno is a very compassionate person who likes giving hugs. While he is strong and independent, he is a soft person who likes to lean on others. On another note, he is paranoid about everything. He won't do things unless you tell him or he will ask you if can do something. Naturally, he is a curious person, but now he hesitates to do anything.
Skills: Climbing, running, super strength, good listener, quick learner, charm
Powers (for your character): Fire generation, thermal resistance, and enhanced strength
Background: Jeno had a simple life in the beginning. He is the youngest out of two children and lived with his mother who worked as a guidance counselor. During most of his childhood, he followed around his older brother, AJ, or was with his mom. He loved to play soccer, rock climb, walk around the city, spend time with friends, and help others.

While he did want to go to college after high school, it just was way beyond what he could afford. So as a way to save up money, he became a full-time firefighter. It was a perfect fit for him since he didn't really have much of a fear of fire and was able to rescue people in a quick yet cautious manner. Almost a year into being a firefighter, he would get into a lethal accident that changed everything. A six-floor building was on the verge of collapsing due to the flames, but Jeno ran back into it to save a person. Despite being so close to getting back out, he was hit with a falling beam.

At the hospital, he was presumed dead for seven minutes. After those seven minutes, he completely changed. His hair changed white and his eyes were suddenly an icy blue, but was very shocking was his ability to manipulate and create fire. It wasn't long till the government had heard about them then took Jeno into their custody for "security reasons".

Obviously, the government officials couldn't get what they wanted. Even when they strained him and put him on drugs, he wouldn't budge. Not a single flame spawned from his hands. They managed to wipe his memory to see if he would do anything. Nothing. There was a therapist that he managed to get close to after being sent to prison, but he disappeared after rumors about him trying to help Jeno escape surfaced. Jeno really liked the therapist, he was the only one who treated him kindly and called him by his actual name.

Another year or two passed by, and Jeno managed to make the bracelets around his wrists not work. Sometime later, he found himself running out into the world, further and further away from the prison.
Theme song(s): Burning Pile by Mother Mother, Always Forever by Cults, Blue Moon by Kim Jongwan
Other: Jeno's inital memory is a blank slate and his more recent memories are all over the place. He might remember some things like places or strange little details, but it's all very foggy for him.

(So sorry for the delay, but here he is! I hope you like him. Let me know if I need to fix anything.)

Name: Cooper Green
Age: 32
Gender/Pronouns: Cis man, he/him
Orientation: Gay, with a lot of internalized homophobia.
Appearance: Cooper has fair brown skin, deep brown eyes and curly black hair, with freckles abound. He’s short, around 5’4” and with a rounder, softer body shape with faintly defined muscles, and many faded scars from years of self-harm long in the past, always a reminder of the way he hurt. He tends to wear button-up shirts with bow ties and a sweater pulled over them, and dark grey or tan dress pants, with scuffed brown oxfords. He’s strong, and with a patient smile on his face at all times, always looking kind and gentle because that is the type of person he wishes to be.
Personality: Cooper has something along the lines of moderate autism, along with a whopping case of ADHD that makes it very hard to socialize outside of work. He tries his best but he always finds himself making “mistakes” and offending people, even though he’s really just being himself. He also may have some sort of borderline personality disorder, with intense abandonment issues and poor self-image as well as difficulty controlling moods outside of medication and even then it’s hard. He keeps people at a distance so he doesn’t have to ever worry about losing them, and prevents people from trying to get close to him by acting cold when he can. He deals with a lot of PTSD from parental abuse, being in a cult, and past abusive relationships, which also causes him to avoid any situation where he might end up trusting someone to be a part of his life. He’s trying to be kind though, and hates the idea of being a bad person like his parents always claimed he was. He just… is so tired. He does try to trust, his therapist says so, but he doesn’t let people in beyond trying to help them so they can get the fuck out of his life.
Skills: Anything relating to plastic surgery and helping burn victims, he previously worked in a clinic for helping trans people with bottom surgery. He works well with animals and has two hamsters and a small clan of rats living in his house, as well as a boa constrictor that is registered as an emotional support animal.
Background?: Cooper’s just… he’s a wreck. His parents told him he was selfish and stupid from the moment he was born, anything he did was “destructive” and his parents said that he was abusing them with his abhorrent behavior which included “embarrassing them” and “being disobedient”. He had a lot of anger issues growing up that he didn’t really grow out of, just learned to either hide or ignore better. Cooper later entered a series of unhealthy or even abusive relationships that kind of scarred him for life and turned him off to affection from even friends. He pushed everyone out of his life as he focused on his school life and school work, just trying to make things okay. He was very briefly part of a cult, he had no meaning in his life but he left once members started to disappear and things got worse there. He is still stalked today by the few members that managed to keep out of jail after it all going to shit, but he still tries to trust people when he can, it’s just the type of trust that’s like “I’ll tolerate you but I fully expect you to try and kill me so go ahead motherfucker, find out what happens when you mess with me” sort of a thing. He’s currently working as a doctor in a ward that helps burn victims.
Theme song(s): Idk man I just work here, I did not think this section through really.
Other: Also idk.

Did I just use a completely different character than the one I intended to use? Yes, yes I did.

@knightinadream group

Sirens blaring. Fire alarms going off. That's all he can remember about getting about of the hell he's been in for the last four years. Watch lights switching on immediately after and prison guards shouting at each other trying to get him.

Jeno had no idea how far he was from the prison nor did he decide to look back while running. With all the force in his body, he kept on. His breathing was all over the place. The only thing he could hear were his breaths and his heart pounding. Sometimes his body was telling him to stop for just one second, but he refused. They would get closer if he did, so he's going to run and run till he finds someone who can help him.

The sky was dark, but the moon wasn't out. And while he felt heat coming from himself, the air was moist and cool. It was a completely different world outside the prison. Could he really find anyone that is going to take him in? What if they turn him in or try to use him? Most, it not all, the people he's ever interacted with told him that there wasn't much of a place for him in the world. They said that it's only worse out there and it'll be better if he stays and does what he's told.

But that can't be true. Can it? Jeno really doesn't know, and yet, he'd rather be out in the world instead of that solitary confinement cell. Anything has to be better than being strapped to a chair or watching a doctor set down a tray full of needles beside him.

The pacing of his steps began to slow down despite his will to speed up. Immediately after the effects of the drugs started to settle back in. His body became light and his feet felt as if they weren't against the sidewalk anymore. Even though his heart was slowing down too, his lips trembled with worry as his eyes began to water.

"No…..Not now…." He thought to himself as he started to drag his feet. Jeno tried to keep himself up by having his fingers drag against the wall of the building close to him. A tear rolled down his face as he saw a parking lot with cars. Maybe he'll find someone here. Maybe this it. This is his chance to be free. He has to keep on going just a bit farther.
