I don’t know but I feel like it would be more fun to just kinda learn about the characters along the way. Is there gonna be any meeting plot or have they just like known each other and now they’re bored.
Hmm… I think just a couple immortals meeting and deciding they're bored, so why not just screw around, would be a lot of fun
Okay! May I start?
Sure!
It was under the shelter of a bus stop on a rainy day that the two met. Both were tired of watching their loved ones die as they had been cursed with eternal life. Thankfully though, they were also both chaotic dumbasses who longed to adventure and possibly fuck stuff up on the way. One of the two, Lucien, stood up and walked out into the rain. “I know we’re immortal but let’s cross stuff off our bucket lists. Where to?”
(I think time should kinda not matter so let’s just say they can also be in any era so we can mess around in Victorian time or go dancing in the 1950s and just have a time.)
(okay then!)
Marcie thought a moment, brushing her long brown hair over her shoulder as she leaned forward a bit.
"The first thing? Jumping off a cliff. Doesn't matter where, doesn't matter when, doesn't matter how." She grinned, stepping out to join Lucien in the rain. She spun a bit, feeling a bit more free now.
Lucien grabbed her hands and led her into a waltz. “Oh I know just the place. Off in the Netherlands there are fjords with cliffs miles high. Beautiful and deadly to anyone but us.” He twirled her around. “How does that sound?”
(How do you want travel to work? Should we just timeskip through it or do you want to write through it? Also I’m open to romance if you want or they could just be close friends.)
(hm… I'm okay with a time skip. Also anything is fine with me)
Marcie laughed lightly as she was caught up in the dance, grinning.
"It sounds perfect," she agreed, skirt billowing out as much as it could while wet with the rain around them.
A bus drove up and stopped with a squeak. “Well we better get going.”
They took the bus to the nearest airport, sharing stories along the way. Lucien hadn’t chosen immortality but was initially happy with it until he had outlived his own son. Then he floated around for a long while waiting for time to pass by.
They got a pair of plane tickets that took them to a small airport in the Netherlands. From there the two found a tour guide who was willing to take them on a solo trip up the fjords and then leave them alone for a hefty sum. Once they reached the top, the tour guide left, counting his cash and Lucien and Marcie were alone once again.
Lucien eyed the edge of the cliff warily. “I’ve never been a fan of heights.”
Marcie, on the other hand, had willing taken immortality upon herself, thinking it would be a grand adventure. She'd tried to talk the one who had given her the immortality to her liver as well, but… The being had disappeared. She had stayed with her lover until they died, and she'd just been wandering since.
Once at the cliffs, she didn't hesitate, making her way to the edge, taking her shoes off and letting her toes hang over the edge.
"But the adrenaline," she said grinning, "is intoxicating."
Lucien kicked off his oxfords and and joined Marcie on the edge of the cliff. “I’ll take your word for it. Are we going one at a time or together?” He took off his coat and began to unbutton his shirt.
"Together," Marcie insisted with a grin, taking Lucien's have in her own. She flexed her toes a bit, looking down the cliff. She felt the bottom of her stomach fall out as she looked, as if it had already jumped. This just made her grin widened. She looked up at Lucien.
"You ready?"
“More than I ever will be.” Lucien took a short breath and stepped off the edge into a free fall. Time slowed down as the wind whistled past him and his stomach dropped. The clear blue water got closer and closer and Lucien prepared himself to hit the water. It still hit him like a concrete floor as he plunged in but he didn’t feel any panic as a torrent of bubbles foamed around him.
Marcie held onto Lucien's hand, jumping with him. She let go some time during the fall, however, hands going above her head. She let out a squeal that was torn away by the screaming wind, laughing with a great smile. She pointed her toes as she hit the water, letting herself slip deeper into the water. She opened her eyes, watching the bubbles role around her outstretched arms and hands. Eventually, though, she came back up to the surface, grinning madly.
Lucien floated to the top and spun around, looking for Marcie. She was grinning a few feet away.
“I can’t say I loved it but that was quite the adrenaline rush.” He swan over to the rocks and hopped up, helping Marcie up behind him. “At least you had fun.”
Marcie swam over as well, nodding.
"Thanks for indulging me." She sat on the rocks, water crashing against her feet.
"So, we did something from my bucket list. What's something you want to do now?"
“Seeing as I live for the drama let’s crash a masquerade ball.” He laid back on the rocks and stared up at the sky. “I have some friends at the Catasauque club in Pennsylvania. What do you think? Shall we go shopping?”
Marcie laid back and joined Lucien in staring at the sky.
"Sounds amazing. Shall we get matching outfits?" She grinned, looking over at Lucien.
"Of course," Lucien smiled back.
. . .
The two walked down the uptown street lined with shops and restaurants. "What kind of dress do you usually go for? I haven't worn a dress since the 1800s."
"Anything with a hoop skirt," Marcie said quickly. She adored them. They were comfortable, and really easy to walk around in once you got the hang of it. It also helped with over heating.
"And blue."
They walked into a tailor and Lucien greeted the fitter.
“Thank god I look good in blue. What are you thinking for the top?” He shuffled through some of the dresses on the rack. “Corset, sweetheart?”
"But of course. Wouldn't be caught dead without one." Marcie giggled a little. As if they would be caught dead anything any time soon. "But I'm not a fan of frills and laces. Let the dress speak for itself."
