So… I just finished Given. ahem and I really, really love the story, as well as the characters. And I wanted to write something similar. Just- a band of chaotic beans that all have their own stories to tell and are bound by the love of music.

• Please don't be a dick, your character can be a dick…. just not you. Be kind to people out of the roleplay and be aware of others.
• This has heavy topics, such as war, violence, suicide, death, gore, etc. Please, if you have triggers LET ME KNOW. I do not want to cause someone to get hurt in the process of the roleplay.

• Please, please for the love of god, have decent grammar. That's all I ask. You don't have to be perfect at it. Just decent.
• I WILL ask for roleplay styles if I have not rp'd with you before. Or if I'm not familiar with your style.
• Good lord I HATE, absolutely HATE **<- those. They're just dumb, so, so dumb.
• Parenthesis will be used for chatter outside the rp

• NO OP CHARACTERS - they are probably one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to writing.
• One liners. I hate them for the most part, especially in group rps. I understand if you're having a bad day, if you're tired and you just want to get a reply in that's okay. But please have 4+ sentences. That's all I ask.
• Swearing is fine, I don't give a fuck.
• If your characters do end up bonding, getting a relationship, become fuck buddies, or whatever else, I don't care, but please, please. For the love of god move it to the pms.
• There will be a system of replying so EVERYONE gets a chance to reply. I will show that system once it is figured out.

He has medium length bright red hair that is usually in a half up, half down kind of style. He usually has his signature two red braids, messy half bun, with bangs falling over his left eye. He has hazel eyes that turn more green around the edges, with flecks of gold. He’s deathly pale, mostly because he burns when he’s in the sun for too long. He’s lean with muscle, and in more of a rectangle, body wise. He’s usually seen wearing tank tops with random ass designs on them, ripped jeans that vary from faded to black, converse tennis shoes or platform boots (he’s aware they add more height, but like- it’s fine), and jewelry galore. Usually when it’s winter, he wears leather jackets, jeans, simple t-shirts, and his converse.

Personality: Dai is very modest, he’s someone who works hard and expects nothing in return. He seems tough on the outside, but once you get to know him, he’s actually very sweet. Despite being described as scary, Dai is very perceptive of surrounding people, and helps those that need it. He’s noted as a “nice and popular guy” at his university. Often, he’ll go out of his way when he sees a girl in distress, and drinks his respect-women juice. He’s very passionate about the things that he loves. He’s pure hearted, carefree, and cheerful with those around him, often cracking jokes and acting like a big brother to those younger than him. He loves spoiling his friends when he can and often offers to pay whenever the band goes out on an outing. He’s very empathetic and can read people well. He’s usually a mediator because he doesn’t take sides. He’s savvy with tech, so he usually takes care of promoting the band and getting them out there. He is a hopeless romantic, but is extremely dense when it comes to people flirting with him. Most of the time he just gets embarrassed or flustered when he catches on. On the rare occasion that he realizes someone is flirting with him, and he’s feeling confident, he’s usually quick to reply with something just as flirty. He does not have an innocent mind, rather it can be very dirty. Heart of gold, dirty mind.
Likes: Boba tea, sleeping, music, drumming, dancing, hanging out with friends, the snow, playing cello, cats, dogs, snakes, sweet foods, helping others, cooking, meat, being lazy, occasional smokes to clear his mind.

History: He doesn’t really like talking about it… at all… He was kicked out when he was about 16 and stayed with his older sister. He’s currently in a well known university, where he majors in music.

Speaking of his eyes, they're a pale blue, almost an ice looking color framed with thick lashes. He looks constantly sad.

Nicknames: Jo, she hates it when people call her by her full name.
Meaning: There's no real meaning to it. She hates the name because it's the one her alcoholic mom gave to her before she was thrown into the foster system. Jo is the only thing she'll respond to.
Age: 20
Gender/Pronouns: Jo has liked she/her pronouns most of her life but recently began to like the idea of she/they. Hasn't told anyone yet though, so she/they pronouns are fine for the beginning
Zodiac: Pisces
Sexuality: Never had the time to experiment but she likes whatever really. Toxic appeals to her since that's all she grew up with and thinks that's all she deserves
Role: "The main character's best friend that they slowly fall in love with" kinda trope. Jo realizes that she's not the main character though.

Appearance: A few references included in the pin-board but I will make a short description here. Big, beautiful jade green eyes. Long eyelashes that refuse to curl along with dark eyebrows that are rather nice for her financial situation. Shaggy, medium/dark ashy brown hair that’s messily cut at the shoulders. Curtain bangs that frame her well-structured face (small, delicate nose, lightly defined jaw and cheekbones etc). Rather pale skin to low vitamin intake and I think that’s it. Tends to wear the same baggy jeans and hoodie for five days in a row but still smells like vanilla and weed by the end of the week.
Height: 5'6"
Build/type: Pear body shape. Likes food but also goes through episodes where she'll only eat an apple or nutrition bar a day so she's a little under average weight. C cups but always thinks about reductions so she can hold her instrument better. Wide hips, thick thighs, you get the picture. Her shoe size is rather small.
Tattoos: Thinking of getting sleeves and a few blackout tattoos to cover up self-harm scars but she can't afford it right now.
Piercings: They have a tongue piercing and a few ear piercings, including a double helix, a scaffold, a conch piercing, and 2 lobe piercings on both ears, but without a conch piercing on her left ear, due to her chickening out the very last second.
Other markings: Self-harm scars everywhere. Arms, thighs, chest stomach, you name it, she probably had cut there.

Personality: Although they are quite the pessimistic asshole around people she doesn’t know, Jo is quite a bit softer when around friends or people she trusts. Once one gets past Jo’s rough exterior it is well worth it. Caring, truthful, and loyal attributes also come with a few less attractive qualities such as short-tempered, dazed for most of the time, not an excellent communicator. Jo fights for what she believes in and for who she loves, not able to let go of people they’ve really grown to trust. On the rare occasion, she is interested in someone she will become very docile, trying to let them know in their own passive-aggressive way that she likes them. Isn’t very flirty but if confident enough will make a few comments here or there. Mother like when drunk. Child-like when high. Has a lot of undiagnosed mental health issues that she avoids actively.

Love language (not just for lovers you know) is physical touch even if she doesn’t like to admit it.
Pomegranates, strawberry ice cream, and sushi. They have quite a sweet tooth.
Her favorite color is green. They pretend it’s because it’s the universal color of disgust but really Jo just likes plants and the outdoors.
Music, if that wasn’t a given. Loves her bass guitar. It was the first thing Jo bought with her own money when she was able to afford it.
Piano, even if she does play bass. She taught herself for a few years when she had a good foster home. Unsurprisingly to her, they passed away after five years of fostering her from a car accident.
Skateboarding very late at night so little boys can’t call her a poser when she falls.
Dislikes: Old men or little boys, children, homophobic people, people who say all lives matter, the color yellow, and probably add more later.
Hobbies: Screaming at catcallers, getting high/drunk, dancing, chill jam sessions, recording sessions, hiking, and cliff diving.
Habits: Smoking; started when she was 15, tried to stop a few times, but with the stress of no housing or stable income Jo picked it up again.

History: Liked her dad. Dad Died, mom became an abusive alcoholic. Set the house on fire while her mom was sleeping. Mom died. Entered the foster system, got many bad parents, one set of good ones. Good parents died after five years. Stayed in the foster system until booted out at 18. Lived on the streets and friend’s couches for two years before finding the band.
