So the plot is roughly the same as all those Cinderella stories but really has nothing to do with cinderella. My character would be "Cinderella." Her late father was rich and owned a chain of cruise ships that are now owned by her stepmother. She works on the ships every summer as a maid, server, watching children, or anything else her stepmother or even stepbrothers whos around the same age can think of. Your character is on vacation on the ship. They'd be around high school age maybe seniors so I'd say either with her family or friends.
Heyy~ This sounds fun, could I join?
Sure! I'll post a character sheet but I'm probably not going to be able to make my character for a bit.

(Sorry here)
The beginning of a trip was always crazy. Melody had to help the rest of the staff get the rooms ready while guests were already arriving and filling up the first-floor deck. she brought suitcases to rooms and made last-minute adjustments all while trying to avoid her stepmother who would just berate her with things she's doing wrong or stepbrother who would try to get her to give him and his friends special treatment.
(It's all good :)
Aster couldn't believe she went that long without a vacation. Fourteen months. To some people that wasn't that long of a time between vacations, but to her it was. She was one to go on one every four to six months. School had been extra busy so she never had the chance to leave without serious repercussions. The day after school got out, she was off to the cruise.
Now she was boarding it, messenger bag over her shoulder and suitcase rolling behind her. She was waiting in line to check into her room. A bright smile was on her face even though it was a decently long line.
Melody and her coworkers brought up most of the bags when she got a text saying that they needed another greeter downstairs. She ran down and started handing out mimosas and orange juices. She smiled at the guests greeting them and answering questions.
After about ten minutes, she got to the beginning of the line, finally. Aster gave her suitcase to one of the employees, keeping her messenger bag. Everyone seemed so nice, but that's how it always is in the beginning. Once you're stuck with them for a week, people aren't quite so nice and willing.
Melody smiled at the new guest. (Astor) “Complementary mimosa or juice?” She asked taking a small step forward. Before the guest could answer she tripped slighted and spilt the entire tray onto her and fell onto the ground.
Aster's immediate reaction was shock and sadness about her shirt, but it quickly shifted to worry for the other girl. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?" She asked as she kneeled down to help clean up the spilt cups and drinks.
Melody was shocked and still for a moment. “I’m fine thank you! I am so sorry ma’am,” she said picking up her tray and standing up. She noticed her shirt. “You don’t have to pick anything up! I can get you complementary dry cleaning and to your room as soon as possible.”
"Oh no no, it's okay. I don't mind, I'll just change real quick and I'll be perfectly fine. Thank you though!" Aster said smiling. She's a very forgiving person, no matter the situation. Before standing up herself, he had picked up a few cups placing them on the tray once doing so.
“Thank you but are you sure?” She asked after she put the cup back. She smiled slightly nervously.
"Yes, I'm 100% sure. I'll see you around, probably." With that, Aster left, sending the employee one last smile. Her shirt was starting to feel sticky from the juice, but she wasn't very far from her room, so it didn't inconvenience her too much.
Melody watched her leave kind of in shock. She was never this clumsy and blamed it on stress but she’s messed up in other ways and guests where never that nice. She cleaned up the mess and then got a fresh tray. There where only a few guests left.
Aster eventually got to her room, her suitcase already there. She smiled and went inside, quickly changing into a summer dress. Plopping down on her bed, she texted her mom to say she was there and settled in. Her mom likes to check in on her.
