So, my old one kinda died before it even started…
The King of Rivia isn't cruel. He isn't out for blood, he prefers peace. He tries to keep his kingdom safe.
And yet there is an uprising against him. People think that he is too soft, too weak, too… well, not the king they need.
And so when the king, now old, declares a Choosing, to find the best wife for his son, the Uprising naturally sends one of their own to be one of the choices. Their goal? To get a stronger king, and one that will listen to them and do what they want.
But the king has motives, too. Long aware of the plot against him, he has done this so that he can weed out the spies. And find a good queen, one to direct his son along, and help him.
He wants to stop the Uprising. And he will do whatever it takes.
Loosely based on the Selection series. Very, very loosely.
During older times, with castles and stuff.
I'll post a template once someone is interested.
…I know we have an rp already. But mind if I join this one too?
I can take future queen if that's okay.
Okay! Fine by me! I'll get up a template!

Got it! I'll get this done ASAP.
Name: Chrysanthemum Dragon (Chrysa)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Panromantic Demisexual
Appearance: Long inky black hair often in a braid or high ponytail, reddish-brown eyes, pale skin, lightly muscled overall, a faint set of freckle across her cheeks, and stands at about 5'8".
Personality: She's a fairly serious type of person and often skeptical of most things. So if she believes in a cause there must be some reason behind it. She's very protective of those she cares for and only wants the best for them. She has a quiet intelligence, and can sometimes be overlooked as she isn't exactly eye-catching. She has natural leadership skills.
Background: Her parents were a part of the Uprising so she doesn't know much else. However, from what she's learned through her life, is that not everything the rebellion wants should come to fruition. She wants to have the power, not for the Uprising, but for the betterment of the kingdom. For most of the Choosing she dances around avoiding the king yet getting close to the prince as to not get caught and kicked out.
Other: I can change her if need be, but does she look okay?
Name: Crown Prince Lucian "Luke" Gray
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Luke doesn't particularly care how he looks. He has bleach blonde hair, which is messy, but actually looks good on him. He has tan skin from being out in the sun a lot, and brilliant blue eyes. He is pretty muscled from work and fighting, and has the supposed "perfect body" for guys. He is very handsome, although he doesn't care either way. He is a golden boy, and has many scars from training and fights. He has an air of mischief about him, as well, and playfulness.
Personality: Luke is very outgoing. He loves to make friends, and is very good at it. He is funny and well-mannered, and always knows the right thing to say to make people feel comfortable. He is polite to a fault, and never speaks his own emotions. He is a very good listener, and can offer great advice. He is sweet and kind, and incredibly playful. He is very mischievous, and when around his friends, his darker side comes out. He is very good at holding his temper, but when he does get mad, he gets silent and brooding, which is almost scarier than yelling. He is protective to a fault.
Background: Um… nothing really that's interesting. He helps his father with stretegies, and has an entire room full of a list of things that he'll change when he's king.
Other: N/A
(I love her! Want me to start?)
(Thank you! And if you wouldn’t mind.)
(Alrighty! I can start, give me a sec!)
"You're hosting a what?" Luke stared at his father in disbelief.
"A Choosing," his father said calmly. "And don't raise your voice. It echoes too much in a room like this."
Luke's insides squirmed. A Choosing? Now, at this time, when the Rebellion was at its worst? What an idea! And making him get married? It was like a human sacrifice. He calmed himself and looked at the king. "Father, please," he said soothingly. "Why now? Can't you just hold this off?"
Chrysa heard wind of a possible Choosing coming up. While she had no particular interest in the affairs, everyone around her was a buzz with life. A few had come up to come congratulate her as apparently, she had been placed into the lottery. She had no problem at this time, in fact it could work to her own advantage. If she could become the next queen, she could ensure a 'stronger' kingdom. Not in the way the Uprising wanted, oh no. In the way that was best for the kingdom.
"No, son," the King said, his smile turning harder. "This is happening. You need a queen by your side, when I die. It will be helpful. Mark my words." He dismissed his son with a wave of his hand.
Luke left, seething.
Chrysa still had a day or two until she had to be at the palace. Luckily for her, she was in the capital already having left her town the moment she had known about her place in the Choosing. She had a few gowns to wear, but at the moment she was wearing a skirt with a pair of trousers underneath along with a simple skirt. She wanted to scout the area out before she would be essentially locked up within the palace. Maybe see if any of the other girls had arrived yet.
A few girls had arrived, and were being examined by the royal doctor to make sure that they were fit. One girl wasn't being checked, though, and sat in a corner, looking grouchy, like she'd rather be anywhere else.
Chrysa had changed into something nicer for the event. She stood tall and glanced around spotting her grouchiness in the corner. She made her way over a false smile on her face, "I suppose you don't want to be here?"
The girl looked up. With bright silver eyes and golden hair, she was incredibly beautiful, although she didn't look like she cared that she was. "Yeah. I would rather be anywhere else."
Chrysa could see why the girl was here even if she would rather be other places. These were type of ladies she was competing against, people much more attractive than her and probably more educated than her. She took a breath, "Than why aren't you somewhere else. No one is making you stay, yet."
The girl looked up at Chrysa and rolled her eyes. "Because my family is going to be dead if I don't at least try." She scowled. "Why the hell are you here? The prince would never choose someone like you."
Chrysa crossed her arms and popped out one hip. This girl may say her family would be dead, but Chrysa had a lot more on the line. She may not look or act like the others, but she had confidence and her wits to keep herself in this competition. She gave her a raised eyebrow, "Oh really. And what makes you think he'll choose someone like you? Because you're a pretty little thing?"
"Oh, I don't think that he'll choose me," the girl said with a shrug. "Nor do I really care if he does or not. I just want to show the Unsee- I mean, I want to show everyone that this is stupid. The prince probably doesn't even like us, anyway."
Chrysa nodded along and noted the stumbling over her words. She meant to have said one thing and then said another instead. Clearly this girl had something to hide, “Yes, well I do believe he has to choose one of us. Anyway I’m going to get this physical thing done with. Care to talk later?”
"Why not." She glanced up at Chrysa out of the corner of her eyes. "I'm Blair, by the way. Blair Lucia."
