(Possible romance, nothing too explicit)
(Modern college setting)
April Bailee just moved to New York from Heidelberg, Germany a month ago to finish her education at a university close enough to where her sister moved recently. Once at the university, she puts everything into her classes and barely looks anywhere but her computer. She has a no-nonsense work ethic and never goes out to have fun with any friends (her closest “friend” is her roommate).
Finally, her roommate convinces her to go out for once and have fun at a club. Unfortunately she has a little too much fun for her liking and beats herself up for her irresponsibility the next morning. It’s up to her roommate to remind her to take care of herself and not drive herself into disaster while juggling with life trying to finish her education at college.
The two of them probably grow closer as friends and as the months go on, maybe something more.
Oohhhh, can I enter this!!

I love her! I’ll get the starter up soon
April sank down into her dorm room bed after she fixed it with various sheets, blankets and pillows. She’d just moved into her dorm room and was not-so-eager to meet her roommate. Starting her classes mid-year in the spring definitely had its advantages (especially when she didn’t even live here in the fall), but it only made introductions even more awkward than they already were.
April opened up her phone to schedule her 8am class into her calendar for the next morning. She had set all of her phone settings to German, which she reasoned would help with privacy.
Madi came into the dorm and crashed on her chosen bed, throwing her messenger bag to the side before opening her eyes and yelling "my laptop!" She grabbed her bag and sighed in relief when she saw it was ok. Then she looked up and saw someone else in the room. "Who the hell are you? And what are you doing in my room?" She asked
April glanced up at her supposed roommate (she guessed), not even bothering to move her head, just her eyes. “Your roommate,” she said in a monotone, very heavy German accent, “Did zey not tell you?” Without shutting off her phone, she let it and her hands sink down into her lap.
"No, I was told that my roommate would be coming next week, bot today!" She groaned "As long as you don't disturb my study session today, we will be good." She muttered and lay back on her bed, muttering terminology she needed to remember
“Du armer Tor.” She murmured under her breath and returned her attention back to her phone, scrolling through some old text messages.
A few minutes passed then Madi got up and went Into the small kitchen "want coffee?" She asked, taking out a small pot and measuring out some water
April looked up again, taking a pause to think, “I’ll have a cup.” She pulled a blanket around herself and glanced back down at her phone.
"Milk and sugar?" She called again, choosing two mugs out of the many she had collected.
“Nein, bitte. No,” she called back, looking all the way up to the ceiling to stretch her sore neck, Interesting room.
Pouring the coffee in the mugs, she added milk and sugar to her own and left it in the kitchen. Bringing the black coffee to her roomie she frowned "I dont think I caught your name." She said, walking back to the kitchen and bringing her mug along with a few cookies.
April abandoned her phone to take coffee mug in her hands, “I didn’t zthrow it.” She took a tentative sip of her drink before speaking again, “It’s April.”
"That's a nice name, I'm Madilyn, Madi for short." She smiled, taking a sip of her coffee and sighing in bliss
“You too.” She pushes some hair out of her face before returning her attention to her phone.
"What are you majoring in?" She asked, taking out her notebook and frowning at the messy writing
April sighed through her nose, “Criminology,” she answered. When her hips started to hurt from sitting cross-legged, she just fell back onto the bed.
"That's interesting. Have you done any field work?" She asked, rewriting her noted
“No, not yet. I’m not important enough to zem yet.” She laughed through her nose, “If I do do field work, I want to do the K-9 program or vatever it’s called.”
