Conditional immortality, was what it was. Two children born at exactly the same time across the world from each other ought to cause some trouble, but their fates were even further linked. One could only die if the other killed them, but that would cause the first to die as well, and any injury the one received would be given to the other as was written on their wrists in faded ink that would never come off throughout their lives. So the people tried very, very hard to keep the two away from each other, that is until one grew up to be a hero and the other a villain. So they fought, and fought, until eventually the villain managed to capture the hero and take them to their lair, not wanting to risk their immortality on hurting the hero.
However, it turns out the two are not so different after all, and maybe they were made for more…
By the way, the hero will have powers of life, healing, and the ability to create any object using the mass of another. The villain will have the power of death, destruction, and the ability to destroy any object whatever the type and use it’s essence to harm. So like, a knife destroyed would be thousands of tiny shards digging into your skin and incapacitating you, something like that.
This could be a romance, but it would be very slow-burn.
