"There's no guarantee that there will be knives in the next tournament, so I'm not going to bother with teaching you further with them." Venali watched her as he spoke, fully aware that his hair was becoming soaking wet and his clothes were the same. The rain seemed to know this, and it started to come down harder, just enough to annoy him.
"Hand to hand is going to be best. Now, throw a punch at me," He instructed, adding on before she could comment, "I can see in your eyes that you've wanted to do it since you held a knife to my throat, so here's your chance."
He didn't seem to shift his stance at all to block, though he did straighten out his shirt, pulling it away from his body so it didn't start to stick to his frame as much.
So Fae-boy didn’t like rain. His annoyance became apparent to Serena and she decided she was going to keep him around longer. Being a bother was quickly becoming her favorite thing when it involved Venali.
“You don’t have to tell me twice,” she said, getting into position. She didn’t wait a second before she fisted her hand and threw a punch at him. Right at his face.
Venali rolled his eyes at her eagerness, though he couldn't say he was surprised in the least. He was several inches taller than her, and to punch at him, she had to aim upwards, something he counted on in order to counter her punch.
Stepping a fraction of an inch backward as she threw her punch, Venali quickly brought his own arm up, essentially using it to push her arm away from his face and out away from his body. He couldn't help the tiny smirk that crossed his face as he did so. After all, he was still proud of his blocking, even if Raine was nothing more than a beginner.
