“I’ll do it right now.” I whispered back calmly. “My phone is underneath your bed. I’ll get it when we go in there.”
“I’ll do it right now.” I whispered back calmly. “My phone is underneath your bed. I’ll get it when we go in there.”
I nodded quickly. "Is–Is there anything else to bandage? Are you hurt at all?"
“No and no. Although I’ll stop by Mercutio’s for dry pants later.” I soothed. “You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, you know that?”
"You must have pretty low standards to think that…" I murmured, waving a vague hand over my bruised and broken face. "Let's go back to the room?"
“I’m an Instagram model, my standards are as high as they get.” I insisted. “Permission to carry my princess back to her bed?”
"Permission granted…." I didn't smile, but something shifted in my eyes. "If I'm the princess, what does that make you?"
“Whatever you want me to be.” I hummed, scooping her up into my arms with tender care. “Unless this is a kinky thing. Then I defientely want a say.” I teased, although it backfired as I felt my own face grow red.
I choked on my own saliva and broke into a loud, hacking cough, crimson red breaking through the mottled purple blotches on my face.
“Oh god, sorry! Sorry!” I fussed over Juliet, setting her down on the bed quickly. “I wasn’t thinking—“
I clapped a hand over his mouth and another over mine, muffling his loud speaking and my coughing. My head tilted subtly in the direction of the door. Keep quiet. We'll get caught.
“Right…” I whispered softly, throughly embarrassed. “Sorry, Love.”
My blush still refused to die down. "If you tease me like that again," I murmured, "I will smack you, injured or not."
Relief blossomed like a flower in my chest. I almost started crying again on the spot. That’s my girl. “So… what would I be. Just out of…” I awkwardly coughed, scratching the back of my neck. “Uh… curiosity.”
I sank back against the pillows, giving my weakened body the opportunity to relax. "Prince. Or knight. In a non-kinky way."
“I’m here to serve, m’lady.” I whispered, which may or may not have been an innuendo. Just in case she caught onto it, I stepped out of slapping range, heading over to her closet.
I would have thrown a pillow at him, but we both knew my arms were too weak for the moment. "Hilarious…"
“Don’t know what you’re talking about…” I hummed, barely holding back a smile.
"Don't make me injure myself trying to climb out of bed and smack you," I muttered, a baseless threat.
“Come on, Jules.” I murmured, a mischievous grin on my face. “You know it’s true.” I winked one last time before opening the closet. “How are you dressing today? Sweatpants or a sun dress? You need something light so it doesn’t irritate your injuries.”
I heaved a sigh, wishing I had the strength and energy to tease him right back. "I don't care, you choose."
“I’ll pick out a few different things, but I’m making you choose between them.” I deadpanned, sticking my tongue out at her.
"Alright…." I sighed, "But don't pick anything red." Or with a Capulet crest on it.
“Notes.” I replied back, finding a yellow sundress and pulling that out of the closet. I then pulled out a pair of black sweatpants and a mint green t-shirt. Holding up both items of clothing I looked over at Juliet. “Either of these good?”
"The sweatpants and the shirt," I decided, rubbing absentmindedly at my bruised throat.
“As you wish, love.” I put the sundress back, caring the pants and shirt over to Juliet. “Do you need any help?”
