Hello~!!
"Keep your human form as long as you can, greet him, and then stay out of sight. Like a good little Luna."
Just thinking about James' words made Marro's stomach churn, the not even veiled threat laying beneath the words clear as day. If she caused anything he deemed trouble, she wouldn't be able to get out of bed the next day. She wrapped her sweater a bit tighter around herself as she stood next to her fiance, tugging the sleeves further down to make sure they covered her arms as she avoided looking at the large and imposing man next to her. They were in the foyer of the pack house, waiting for the diplomat from the Perfide pack to arrive.
James had his arm around her waist in a fake show of affection, the hold itself more like shackles than comfort. A steely grip. His Beta stood on his other side, not quite as large but still obviously strong, both men wearing not obviously fake smiles, but carrying an undercurrent of something else. Something not quite right. And something that Marro saw first hand every day, every time she messed up or held eye contact too long. An underlying violence.
“Going out already? You know you look suspicious as hell right?”
The elder brother figurine warned as light shined pass the window of the house. The small, fluffy, and white-colored diplomat didn’t really care. He pulled his luggage of necessaries with his tail with a small high-pitched groan.
The brother sighed.
“Told you it would be difficult, why don’t you wait ‘til nighttime?” He asked.
The diplomat answered with a small, short, and sharp bark.
“Alright, go ahead… do whatever you want to do” the brother waved his hand nonchalantly now as he took a sip of his drink from the counter beside him.
The trip to the Luna tribe now started for the diplomat, who didn’t really expect anything exciting to happen.
"It appears he might not be here for a while." James said, his voice slightly gruff. A natural tone, and one he knew how to work to his advantage. Releasing Marro, he stepped back and motioned to his Beta. "Let's go over some things while we have the time. Marro, dear, if he shows while we aren't here, you are to stay quiet. Nod and be polite, but don't open that mouth of yours." And with that, the two men were gone, leaving the she-wolf alone.
Marro didn't relax. But a small weight did feel like it had been lifted from her shoulders, the overbearing presence of a male who could rip her throat out in one quick move, and wouldn't hesitate, gone. With her luck, he would return as soon as she relaxed, though, so it was best to avoid that. Always stay on guard. That's what her mother had taught her.
A small knock came down on Marro’s door. Other than the knocks, a small and high-toned groan came from outside and following it was the sound of metal clanking.
The knock at the pack house door drew Marro out of her thoughts with a flinch, her head shooting up to the door. Her brows furrowed at the sounds, but she stepped to the large door, pulling it open with a bit of issue. A smaller stature for a werewolf, and her malnutrition weakened the strength she should have from her bloodline.
Even with a small gap, the ‘diplomat’ came in. The size of 22 inches, with a tail that is 18 inches long, all decorated with soft white fur. The eyes of a sapphire color sipped through. What followed the small creature was a luggage about twice its size though they didn’t seem to have problems pulling the luggage in.
They greeted Marro with a small bark before jumping on top of their luggage and sitting there, waiting for Marro to react.
Marro blinked as a fox entered the foyer, shutting the door almost silently almost out of habit. She opened her mouth, about to speak and, oddly enough, greet the fox, until James' words flashed through her mind, leading her to shut her mouth. Instead, she nodded quickly. Then she stepped back, motioning to one of the doors out of the foyer, the one James and his Beta had left, to let the fox, who she assumed was probably there for a reason, know that they would be out soon. Her golden-brown eyes met the floor, staying there as she wrapped her arms around herself, waiting.
Seeing as the room he was in was quite dark, the fox glowed a blue aura before his body shined. With that, the fox was gone and in place of the creature was a man with white hair, blue eyes, a white t-shirt covered by a light gray coat, a pair of dark blue jeans, and black sneakers.
“Greetings, diplomat from the Perfide pack, Cendris” the man greeted with a slight bow.
“May I use the table?” He gestured to the table nearest to him while holding his luggage with his other hand.
Marro jump started at that, nodding a bit too quickly as she moved to help him with his luggage. She motioned to the table and then his things, before holding her hand out and raising her eyebrows slightly in question. Waiting for him to hand them over so she could carry them. That's what she was supposed to do when they had visitors, and she was already mentally berating herself for not offering sooner. James wouldn't be happy if he found out.
