"What is it, Diana?" Mother asked.
"Can I have money to buy a cookie for me and Heath?" Diana begged.
"Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!" Heath cheered happily.
Diana giggled listening to Heath, but her mother heard nothing.
"No, Diana. We're here for a reason and that reason is not cookies."
"But please! Just this once! Heath really wants a cookie!"
"But, I wanna cookie!" Heath says, looking up to the mother with tears pooling in his eyes.
"He's going to cry, Mommy, please?" Diana pleaded.
Her mother sighed. "Fine."
"He's going to cry, Mommy, please?" Diana pleaded.
Her mother sighed. "Fine."
"Yay!" Heath yelled, clapping his hands in happiniessssss.
Diana bought two cookies with her mother's money and gave one politely to Heath. "Here ya go!"
"Thank ya!" He says, stuffing the entire cookie into his mouth, munching as cookie crumbs fell down his face.
Diana giggled and ate hers quickly.
"Can we go to the park?!" Heath asks out of the blue.
"We're shopping right now, Heath. Maybe Mommy will let us go later," Diana replied.
"Okay!" Heath said, clapping his hands.
Diana smiled and laughed at Heath. "You're silly!"
"No, you are silly!" He says, sticking out his tongue
"No, you!"
"NO YOU!"
"NO! YOU!" Diana yelled, attracting a lot of attention from other customers.
Heath made a loud, fake, and obnoxious gasp.
"Diana, hush!" Mother reprimanded her harshly.
Diana cast a look at Heath.
"Sorry" Heath mouthed, handing her the rest of his cookie as a sorry.
"You should be," she muttered, but took the cookie and smiled, conveying that all was forgiven.
Heath clapped his hands happily, watching Diana smile.
