Just as she was about to step away from the table a man started talking to her as he sat down in front of her. Now she WAS just leaving, but wasnt it a little too soon to sit here already? He at least could have waited until she left! She looked at him with a distasteful look for a split second before she realized what he was doing.
She sighed and sat back down, “better not be. Do you have any idea how long ive been waiting?” She raised an eyebrow, her eyes watering. Acting of course. One of the things she was talented at.
Though it was made easier with the fact that she had actually been stood up and this random hottie felt bad for her so he took his place. But she was going to go along with it just as he said.
“Its fine though. I get it” she sighed, wishing that it was true. Wishing her date was actually just caught up in traffic and not probably somewhere drunk at a party or running away from the cops.
She flipped up the menu and looked at all of the foods, tapping her nails on the fancy wooden table.
“you look rather fine today” she smiled once she set the menu down, twirling the straw in her water she had ordered about 20 minutes ago, the ice clinking around the glass.
"Oh I was just about to say that about you, love. Except the word I'd use would more likely be beautiful or stunning, instead of 'rather fine'. And thank you!" Apollo said happily as he also looked through the menu. He wasn't lying when he said the woman looked amazing, what a strange situation this was, but he definitely wasn't complaining. He was definitely glad for this situation, it spiced up his day a bit instead of the same old thing of being alone.
The waitress came back to the table, smiling. "I see your date arrived, sweetheart. I'm glad to see it. So are you two ready to order?" She asked in a sweet voice. The question was more directed to Apollo since Crystal had been there for quite a while already.
Her face turned a bit red and she averted her eyes when he complimented her.
Crystal reminded herself that he was doing this out of pity. Not that he thought she looked nice. Though she was telling the truth. He was pretty hot.
She looked up from her “dates” face and to the waiter with a smile “Thank you. Traffics crazy out there” she joked and turned to him. Shes been ready to order for such a long time it was rather ridiculous.
What was even more ridiculous was the fact that her actual date lived less than five minutes away while she lived about thirty. No, he wouldn’t even go out of his way to go on a nice date with his girlfriend.
Why did she date him in the first place? He was such a douche bag. What happened? He had a decent amount of money but never spent it. Maybe it was the fact that he was hot. No, Crystal wasnt that shallow.
“I am” she forced herself away from her depressive thoughts and back to her date in front of her. She had took about 4 hours out of her day to get ready, and about 2 hours driving here and waiting. She was going to make the most of this time with whoever this was.
Though as she looked at him more she recognized his face. He went to the same school as her. Oh man. She knew who this was….
But she didnt let that show. Smiling sweetly at her date, she twirled the straw around in the iced water of her glass, “are you?”
(Are we still going through with the plan that they know eachother and she like hates him at school because hes annoying to her or something? I feel like we discussed that XD)
(Sorry, I’m quite tired so i might not make much sense)
(Ah, no you make sense lol, I totally get that. We did discuss that actually, and that was basically the plan XD)
"Yes, I am! Do you want to order first?" He asked, a sweet smile on his face as he looked over at Crystal. He opened his menu again just to make sure he knew exactly what it was called that he wanted. He did a little nod to himself, closing the menu. He set it down and took a sip of his water. Apollo realized, he still didn't know the name of the woman sitting in front of him.
(let's just say they're at Olive Garden lol)
She looked back at the menu, running her finger along the smooth lamination to refind what she wanted. Stopping at the chicken salad she decided to order that. She was never one for pasta.
"I'll just have the chicken salad pleasr* she says looking back to her date kindly.
