Met swallowed a little, inhaling softly. “I-I… I guess I could come home with you. I’d like that a lot. You seem like very nice people and… I don’t know.” His voice died down quietly, realizing he was talking too much.
Met swallowed a little, inhaling softly. “I-I… I guess I could come home with you. I’d like that a lot. You seem like very nice people and… I don’t know.” His voice died down quietly, realizing he was talking too much.
"Really?" Micah asked. "You want to go home with us?" Olive questioned, their eyes wide. If the kid really wanted to, then…. they were parents now. Olive looked to Micah who looked to her, and smiled. They were really parents! She looked at Met once more and suddenly grew serious. "Are you sure?"
“I-I… yeah,” Met said softly, glancing up. Why not? They seem like very nice people. He smiled a weak, tiny smile. “It’ll be great to go home with you two.”
The couple smiled at the boy. Olive even bounced a little in her seat. Sure, this wasn't the kid they had expected to pick up when they got here, but he was still quite the pick. The shy boy had commanded Olive's attention as soon as she got there.
"Well then… I guess we should start filling out the paperwork then, yeah?" Micah asked her. She nodded standing, Micah by her side.
Met watched them stand, blinking a couple times. This was… happening quite fast. He stuttered softly in gentle protest, grabbing the candy brancingly before standing a little out of the chair.
“R-right now? Now?”
"Yeah… are you okay with that?" She asked, looking at Met. He was a tall sixteen year old. He was almost as tall as Micah.
Met slowly rose up to his full height, hunching slightly. He felt too tall compared to the tiny woman and the man.
“Yes. It’s fine.”
"I feel small…." She muttered, tucking her purse under her arm. "Come along, you two." She said, heading to the front office.
Met blushed and hunched a bit more so that his shoulders strained and back hurt. “I’m sorry,” He murmured, having heard the woman as he followed the pair.
Olive laughed. "You have nothing to be sorry about, Met." She glanced back at him. "Do you have anything you'd like to take with you?"
Met nodded a little. “I have some clothes. And my food. But that”s really it.” He shrugged. “So I guess not.”
"Okay. We can always get you some more clothes if you'd like. And don't worry, we can order online or something." She replied. Micah went to speak with an adoption worker.
“O-oh, But I also have my truck. And money.” He had a full wallet of money, his ID for driving, and his keys. “I think I should at least get those…”
The adoption lady beamed, sitting up. “Hi there! How may I help you?”
"You have a truck? Do you get to use it here?" Olive asked him. "We can most definitely take those with us as well."
Micah smiled to the woman. "Hi, we've made our pick." He told her.
Met nodded. “I just never go out. I don’t have anywhere to go.” He shrugged. “But I’d like to have them.”
The woman nodded, clicking open a new window on her computer. “Alright! Who did you chose? I’ll have to print out their papers and the registration form.”
"Then you take it with you, I can give you our GPS and you can drive to the house. Okay?" Olive suggested.
Micah glanced back at the two. "Met. That's who we chose."
Met nodded a little. “That sounds good. Thank you.” He looked down at his feet again.
The lady happily clicked her teeth as she printed out his things. “He”s such a sweet boy. You’ll love him.”
(Also, I’m changing Met’s sexuality to Omnisexual just for the sake of this RP. You’re welcome ^-^)
((Oh, thank you))
"Yeah, he's pretty cool." Micah agreed.
Olive regarded Met and his impressive height. "We're gonna need to get you a bigger bed." She annouced, more for Micah to hear as she sat with the worker.
(Eheheh. Now we can fluff)
The woman chuckled and handed him the papers. “There you are. You and your wife just have to fill this out.”
Met rubbed the back of his head nervously, scuffling his bare feet. “Y-Yeah. You will, I guess.”
((Yay!))
Micah smiled and nodded, taking the papers. "Thank you." He told the lady before turning to Olive and Met. "Why don't we go find somewhere to sit and them we can chat some more." He said, leading the two to an empty table not too far off. Olive sat beside Micah and produced two pens from her purse, already the resourceful mother figure.
Met nodded and scooted over to the table with a distinct atmosphere of awkwardness. He smiled nervously as he sat, crushing his legs under the table to help make room for the other two.
“So-So what does the paper ask for?”
"Meh, usual stuff." Micah grunted, taking a pen and getting to work. "Um personal information, insurance, healthcare, questionnaire and background stuff. We had to go through several tests and inspections before we were even qualified to adopt." Olive explained.
Met looked back and forth between the pair and finally, unsurely, resting on Olive. He nodded a little, fiddling his fingers. If they had gotten through tests and stuff, then they had to be good to go home with..
"They ask the same thing over and over. But it's necessary, I get that. These are kids their giving away." Micah said, tucking the pen behind his ear as he read one of the pages.
Olive looked to Met as she set her pen. "After we finish this, would you like to get some food? We can eat and chat."
(*they’re)
Met’s gaze flicked back to Micah then to Olive again when she spoke.
“Something to eat? O-oh, Alright.” He smiled faintly, not feeling very hungry. He had eaten a lot yesterday…
