Well in the description you said the mortal had beauty beyond any other, tales like that spread around. And that's a really good question, because if people do know the gods exist we get a lot more shock and fear when Pysche reveals themself as one but if people don't then we get a fun worldbuilding explanation scene.

Which would you prefer? Having low executive function day and honestly having gods exist and be known about by hoomans would be cool because it would shape religious beliefs because of regular divine intervention and so on, idk?

I'd be really happy to have gods be a well-known part of human society b/c then the real life ramifications of everything would be, like, crazy. Plus it'd mean mythology was just like… really fresh gossip instead of 1000-year-old hearsay which is just so fun to me. Secondary question: what's the time period? I'm imagining pseudo ancient greece, but if you've got something better please spill.

How about like, modern mixed with some Greece and a sploosh of Egypt?

Sounds like a plan. I'm not as clear on Egyptian culture as I am on Greek but I'm pretty comfortable with the mythology and I've got google so I'm sure I can make do.

Oh boy, that's…. an amazing concept. Maybe pyramids with all the comforts of modern building supplies and amenities? Big temples made entirely of glass? Definitely lots of columns, probably lots of busts carved into the corners of buildings. And statues. So many amazing statues in so many styles, gosh, that'd be amazing.

And hieroglyphics. Lotta those.

Oh yes, probably some form of hieroglyphics mixed with a more modernized roman alphabet drawing roots from the roots of English and Greek scripts! Oh!!! What if hieroglyphics function as some form of a secret language because pictographic formats are more difficult to learn?

Or maybe the language is a mix of old english and ancient greek but it's written using hieroglyphic script??
