Name: Khal Baatar (formerly referred to as Model "X7-418")
Age: Built 29 years ago
Gender/Identity: Man (created in the image of his creator)
Pronouns: He/Him
Orientation: Demisexual/Demiromantic; experiences attraction only after forming deep bonds of trust, which are rare for him. For as long as he had been sentient, the concept of wanting and liking someone is still something he hadn't fully explored.
Appearance: Khal stands at 5'11" with a slender yet athletic build that exudes quiet strength. His smooth, tan complexion appears human, featuring subtle imperfections like tiny pores and faint veins beneath his synthetic skin. He has striking facial features—high cheekbones, a broad jawline, and a straight nose—paired with deep, warm brown almond eyes. His thick, dark hair is always kept neat. Internally, he houses a robotic "heart" that circulates a glowing silvery-blue biomechanical fluid and a "brain". His internal structure enables human-like movement with superior strength and durability.
Wardrobe: More of a tech aesthetic, favoring dark clothing—a worn leather jacket, fitted jeans, and chunky boots.
Personality: Khal may initially seem quiet and reserved, often speaking with minimal words. However, beneath his calm exterior, theres a curiosity about the world and people. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes more engaging and eager to explore new ideas and experiences.
Primary Motivation: To live a long, peaceful life.
Backstory: Initially created as Model X7-418 by a man named Jargal, Khal was designed to infiltrate foreign environments for covert operations, capable of blending in seamlessly as a human. His early existence involved numerous missions that often resulted in tragedy due to political schemes, and it was slowly chipping away at his programmed detachment. A genuine bond with a foreigner was the beginning of his sparked sentience but ended in heartbreak when his new friend was caught in the crossfire in that mission. This loss triggered failures in his systems, resulting in erratic behavior and increasingly complex emotional responses. Noticing these changes, his creator grew suspicious. He had built him to obey without question, but now the robot began to exhibit human traits, including the refusal to follow orders. The final straw came when he outright rejected a mission and in an attempt to regain control, his creator tried to dismantle him– but Khal fought back, leading to his abandonment after the other man realized that he could not destroy what he created. For the past five years, he has navigated life in hiding, assuming that his maker would eventually report him as a malfunctioning prototype. Yet, no report has come. Instead, he continues to seek a sense of belonging and purpose.
