(Oh haha… )

"You can… see me?" Soren gaped, still whispering. Numbly, the boy edged himself against the wall of the bus, motioning for Felix to take the seat beside him.

Felix sat down, suddenly really nervous. "Of course I can see you. Are you crazy or something?" It would be a shame if the only really cute boy he knew was crazy.

@Trix

Of course the cute one had to be crazy. Shrugging, Soren acknowledged, "Perhaps. But I think you are, too. Keep your voice down, otherwise everyone will think you've gone insane." The girl behind him shifted again, and he flinched away from the arm.

"Trust me, I'm already starting to think that myself," Felix muttered. "But seriously though. Why are they looking at me like that? It's completely normal to talk to someone on the bus. I'm…" He got quiet for a second, lowered his voice and looked around them before turning to the boy again. "I'm not the only one who can see you, right? I mean… you're right here."

(I figured out how to explain the pronounciation of Sören! The Ö is pronounced like the I in the word Sir… so, it's basicly Sir-en. With the En pronounced as in End. But maybe you knew that already, I don't really know how much other countries knows about foreign languages…)

@Trix

(I didn't know that! Although I might just be uneducated on language, that too lol)
"I… the girl behind us can't see me, that's for sure," Soren supplied. Flailing for a bit, he finally concluded, "And no one has ever acknowledged me before - asides from you. So either I'm crazy and imagining you, or you're just different. But why?"

Deleted user

"You're not imagening me, at least. I am very sure that I am very real, luckily. And…" He poked a finger into Soren's arm. "I don't think that I'm imagening you either." Felix blinked, trying to make his brain work properly. "So, wait a minute. You're telling me that you are…" He lowered his voice even more. "…invisible?"

@Trix

"Ever since birth," he confirmed, frowning quickly. "Well, actually, I don't know. I just don't ever remember someone else seeing me, weird, right? I live with a twin brother but I don't think he knows I exist…" Soren trailed off, an emotion flashing in his eyes. "You probably looked really weird poking air just now," he commented.

Deleted user

Felix smirked a bit. "Well, yeah. But people consider me weird in general. I'm the dark and mysterious kind of guy, you know." He realised something. "Actually… would you like to talk about this somewhere where there are not people everywhere? Or do you have to be somewhere else?"

@Trix

A small grin played on his lips. "We're on a school bus… there's not a lot of places we can go." It was oddly intimate having such a quiet conversation, and Soren busied himself for a moment to fight off the blush.

Deleted user

"Yes, but… we could… I don't know. Meet after school? I mean, it can't be every day that you meet someone who can see you." Felix wanted to know more. He really didn't want to get off this bus right now, and his station was coming up.

@Trix

Soren shrugged, an unconcerned recklessness lighting up his face. "I wonder why you can see me…" he mused. "I suppose I could go with you - it's not like anyone would care." The statement was said lightly, a fact he had grown to accept. This whole other-people-knowing-he-exists thing would need adjusting to.

Deleted user

"Actually," Felix said, realising something. "We don't have to meet after school. Since no one else can see you… why don't you just come with me instead? You could be in my class for a day. It's not like anyone would notice. Except me, of course."

@Trix

Mischief danced in his eyes as he quirked an eyebrow. "Everyone will think you've gone mad, talking to thin air," Soren said. "Though, it can't hurt. Unless someone touches me…"

Deleted user

"Well, we don't know for sure that I'm not mad," Felix said with a small smirk. "And don't worry about people touching you. As long as you stay close to me, it'll be fine." He blushed a bit while saying that, but it was true. "People… well, I'm not really good with them. They tend to kinda avoid me a bit."

@Trix

Soren blatantly scanned Felix, a streak of red dusting lightly over his cheeks. “Really? I find that hard to believe…” he mumbled, deciding he had embarrassed himself enough for today. “What’s your first class?”

Deleted user

"Math, I think… Or perhaps chemistry. I don't know. I don't keep track of my classes, I mostly just look at my schedule and take them as they come." Felix shrugged. Meanwhile, his brain realised that, well heck, he was going to have a super cute, super nice and super invisible guy next to him all day. Wow. That had… never happened before, for obvious reasons.

@Trix

A small laugh left Soren's mouth. "Just rolling with whatever the schedule throws your way? That's a good way to go about life," he said, clearly lost in thought. The bus jerked left, knocking the boy into reality. Soren sighed. "School's approaching - though today might be a little different."

Deleted user

"I certainly hope so," Felix smiled. Who knows, he thought. School might not be as awful today as it usually was. He looked out the window. Or at least, so everyone else thought. In reality he looked at Soren's reflection in the glas, once again surprised that he could see it, when obviously nobody else could. He wondered why that was. Was it magic? Science? Some kind of spiritual link between the two of them? Or just… fate?

@Trix

Right then, he decided he liked it when Felix smiled. It felt good to make someone else feel happy, to actually have an impact on the world. Soren hummed his agreement - the jittery feeling coiling in his stomach made him fearful to voice a response.

(Hey Trix how old are you? You write really good.)

Felix sat quietly next to Soren for the remaining two stops. Then, he stood up. Since he couldn't speak to him, he touched the boy's wrist slightly and nodded for him to follow as they got off the bus. The small touch felt like a tiny fire at Felix's fingertips. He had to bite back a big smile. Soren obviously didn't know that he had looked at him for a pretty long while now, every day wondering who the pretty stranger who never seemed to talk to anyone was.

@Trix

(…really? I don't think I do, I'm still a young child of 13.)

He couldn't conceal the flinch at human contact. Usually that meant conspiratorial whispers, wide eyes, and random jabbing in the air as Soren acrobat-ed his way out of the situation. This time, tingles raced up his arm. He wasn't used to contact, he convinced himself, staring at the prickling goosebumps with mild shock. That was all. Contact was weird. With a nervous grin, he popped out of the bus, simultaneously trying to chase away the lingering thoughts in his mind.

(No, really, you do. You write so much better than I did when I was 13. I know that for sure, cause I found some storys that I had written from that year the other day, and they were awful. I pretty much just laughed at my bad writing the entire time while I read them. So… yeah. Don't underestimate yourself. You write really good.)

Walking the short way to school, Felix tried his very best to keep people in the crowd from walking into Soren. It wasn't easy, but on the other hand, the halls were so crowded that people probably wouldn't even notice if he bumped into them. As they came up to his locker, Felix broke out of the crowd. His heart was pounding in his chest, but it had nothing to do with the crowd or even the school.

@Trix

(Aw, thanks Dam. I would be interested in seeing those stories haha)

Soren squished himself up against the locker adjacent to Felix's. Normally he would reside in a small alcove or slip into a random classroom, but the hallways of a public school? It was a bloody battlefield. He tried to subtly eye the boy's locker combination, but Soren couldn't drag his eyes away from Felix. They were so close… wow, Felix really was a beautiful specimen of mankind.
