I promise this time I have actual ideas, two to be exact. These are both very open to modification and change but I think they would be fun to do (Also if more than one person wants to do them I'll always make more threads).
- Character A is a hitman/spy for the king of a neighboring country, and when Character B comes to visit they catch feelings for A. It takes a lot of coaxing and time to get A to warm up to B and talk, but soon they're friends and maybe even more than friends. Things get rocky though when the two countries alliance becomes unstable and things go from there (It would take too long to explain so this is really simplified and generic)
2 Character A has always feared humans, the strange wingless creatures they had learned were monsters since childhood. When character A (Who is winged if you can't tell) goes out one day and something terrible happens, they find themselves having to try to get along with humans, or one in particular for their survival. Character B is a human, though has dreamed since young that they could be the one to try to renew the trust between the two species. Character B is the one who finds A, and with the opportunity at hand, tries to help change A's views while trying to bring the two species together. (Also very generic and simplified)
Rules:
- Please for the love of this great earth, have decent grammar usage and have at minimum two-sentence responses while RPing (if we're just chatting or whatever the need for it isn't as high but please no caveman level punctuation or spelling)
- Probably gonna be rated R or mature based on what we decide plot-wise
-I couldn't care less about cursing, use it if you want, don't if you don't, but know that some of my characters have potty mouths (Not like every other word is cursing though)
- Be at least semi-active. I have a bad tendency to only respond a few times a day sometimes, but I do try to respond at least once every 24 hours unless I give you a heads up that I'm gonna be gone longer. As long as you show the same courtesy back, we're cool
-Know that I do have the right to say no to you joining, and I might also ask for an RP sample to see what I'm working with if I haven't RPed with you before (Also if multiple people want to join, don't stress, I will happily make more threads so I can RP with each)
May I? I'm also only semi active and I'm (I think) pretty good with grammer!
(Sure! You can join! Do you have one idea that you like more?)
(I like the second one better but I'm fine with either!)
(Ok we can do the second one! Is there anything you want to change or add to that idea since it's really just the bare bones of an idea? Also which character would you like to be and template or no? (Sorry for all the questions))
(I like the idea already but we need to expand upon it a bit for everything to make sense. I can be either character. Unless you really have no clue, I like to have the one who started the thread pick!)
(Ok :) And with expanding on it this is the general idea I had in much more detail than what's up there:(Feel free to change absolutely anything)
A long time ago humans and the winged people did live together and in peace, though a war or something broke out and ever since the winged people had to go into hiding to keep from becoming extinct. The winged people have lived in fear for almost four generations now and the stories of the cruel killing of their kind by humans have been passed down in stories and woven into the culture. Character A grew up hearing these stories and now wants nothing to do with humans, though when they finally come of age to join the small army that the winged people have for protection, their first time flying away from the island that is their home goes terribly wrong. They get shot down/crash because of a storm/something and land in human lands, unable to fly and get back to the island. Character B only grew knowing about the tales of the winged people that used to live in their lands along with the war that drove them out and wished they could be the one to fix the damage caused by the war so long ago. When Character B stumbles across A one day, who is struggling and absolutely wanting nothing to do with B, naturally B decides to try to help. While all of this is happening, the winged people have heard of A's disappearance and peg it on the humans, rallying for a war against the humans one again that would be catastrophic.
(*random idea for character B, maybe they're royalty? Could turn out to be interesting)
What do you think? Any changes or additions? And also, if you don't mind I might just take character A)
(Alright! That sound great! Having person B be Royalty would be a great addition! If person A were shot down/crashed it would make sense for the "enemy" to be brought to the King/Queen/whatever Royal title.)
(That sounds awesome! Shall I get a template? One more question, do you want to weave romance into this in any way or just leave it like it is?)
(A template sounds great and we could if you want. Most of the RPs I'm in end up turning into romance after a bit. To me if we have romance it needs to take time. It can't be love at first sight.)
I agree romances take time, they have to get to know each other first and I would happily do a romance that takes a while to spark up if you're up for it. Here's the template btw :)

Name: Raina "Rain" Grimes
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Personality: She is very outgoing and curious. She likes try out new things and experiment. She is more of a tom boy and you will never find her in a dress.
Appearance: She had dark brown hair in a longer pixie cut (one of her experiments). She has light tan skin and hazel eyes. When she is in the castle she wears the king suits instead of dresses and when she is out of the castle she wears brown cargo pants, a white longsleeve and a tan messenger bag.
Background: When she was younger her grandfather used to tell her stories about the winged species, as he was in the war with them. Her grandfather spoiled her a lot when she was younger before he passed away. Before he passed away he asked her father to change the law so women could be rulers, so the bloodline could continue and Raina wouldn't have to be married to another prince. The law was passed.
Likes: Stories, her freedom, rumors, the castle staff
Dislikes: The Royal advisors, being treated like she is less because she is a woman
(Is this alright? Also when would this be set around? Middle Ages? Elizabethian era? How do you feel about LGBTQ relationships?)
(She's awesome and probably around the late Middle Ages I was thinking. I'm cool with LGBTQ relationships or straight ones, do you have a preference for one or the other?)
(I usually like LGBTQ relationships better. I really don't care about the gender though. I want you to make a character that you would be the most comfortable playing.)
(Ok :) Here's my girl)
Name: Adira (Ah-DEER-uh) Fastonia
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi
Personality: Quite sarcastic but loving to those she knows well and stubborn to a fault. When she doesn't know someone though, her appearance can be quite intimidating and adds to the harsh edge she gets.
Appearance: Pale but lightly tanned skin courtesy of her mother that contrasts heavily with the green and blue eyes inherited from her father and the silvery blonde hair that unless tied back spills to her mid back and covers the base of her wings. She's also decently tall and has a lean muscular frame from training.
Wings: Her mother originated from the mountain dwellers and her father from the cave dwellers (Both just different races of winged people) so her wings are quite interesting. She has the same soft downy feathers her mother does on her large wings, but with the color of her father's wings, deep black wings with a tiny band of gray feathers right around the base of each wing. Her wings themselves are quite big, long and broad and similar in shape to the ones that large eagles and hawks have.
Background: Both sets of her grandparents fought in the war against humans so she had no shortage of stories about the horrors of humanity when growing up. It may have influenced her a little and pushed her to join the army like her older brother.
Likes: Flying, stories and birds
Dislikes: Rain, humans, frogs
(I absolutely love her! I love how you put frogs on the dislike list! Where should we start?)
(Thanks! Do you want to start maybe the day Adira gets shot down, though earlier in the day?)
(Sure! I'm going to assume she gets shot down right outside the capital so it would be easier to get her to the palace?)
(Yeah that's probably the best option :) I can post a starter if you want )
Adira couldn't stop smiling as she stood in line with the rest of the soldiers in her row, watching as her brother, the general, made his way down the line to mark them all as soldiers. She did somehow get her smile under control as he finally stepped up to her, smiling proudly and wiping the blue clay across the bridge of her nose to signify that she was finally the soldier she had been training to be for the past six months. Even as the last one in the line alphabetically, she was proud to be one of the nine that had made it.
"Welcome to your new family soldiers." Her brother's voice echoed around the clearing, responded to by cheers and celebration of the family and ones who had come to watch this ceremony take place. Now all that was left after a celebratory meal was to wait for the sun to die down so they could go on their first recon mission. Adira couldn't wait for time to go by, even as she sat with her family and ate and the sun traveled on its path down from its place high in the noon sky.
Raina made her way through the thick crowd of the market place. It was very busy, seeing that today marked the rise of the Grim empire. It was a tradition for a gift to be exchanged with one person. She wandered for vendor to vendor, looking for the perfect gift.
"Rain!" Someone shouted, causing her to look up.
A vendor was waving her over. Raina smiled. She knew this vendor. She made her way across the street and to his vendor.
"What's up, Peter?" She asked with a smile.
Peter shrugged. "Not much. What are you doing? Looking for a present?" He asked.
Raina let out a sigh. "Yes. Got anything for me?"
He thought for a bit before turning around and digging through a few drawers. "How about this?" He asked, holding out a necklace with a glass raven as a pendent.
Raina smiled as she looked over it. "It's perfect. How much?"
Between all the cheering and hugging going on, Adira sought out her brother, Kiran first, pulling him into a bone crushing hug and trying not to smear the cobalt blue clay across his cream colored uniform. "Nice job idiot," He said, grinning as he stepped away from the hug and started towards the four other family members rushing towards the two of them.
She just shook her head at Kiran and headed towards her family as well, getting hugs from them before sitting down in the grass and letting her wings unfurl behind herself while food was unpacked for a giant lunch.
"So what's next now that you're a soldier?" Her father asked as he handed out the food and promptly dug into his own lunch.
"Now Kiran better move up those ranks, I'm taking his job next." She said, chucking a grape at her brother and grinning when it hit the side of his head with a satisfying splat. He just snorted and shook his head, the same silvery blonde hair as she had falling into his face. "And after I take your job Kiran, I'm cutting you hair, you're starting to look like a girl."
"Not before I cut yours back to that spikey look you had a few years ago, you diva." He shot back, grinning and pushing his hair out of his face dramatically, "I think you're just jealous of my hair since I style it so much better than you can."
Adira scoffed and rolled her eyes, slipping into the familiarity of trading snarky comments with her brother. It was nice being close with someone in her family, and even if she wouldn't say it out loud, her brother was by far her best friend. She also wouldn't admit it, but goofing off with him made time pass much quicker as well as the lunch.
Raina wandered around the market place for a bit longer after she bought the necklace. It held the best view of the castle. With the sunlight shining off it just right, it looked like it was straight out of a fairytail.
From the marketplace was the only view she could get that didn't remind her of the mess that was going on inside those walls. Raina's father was deathly sick, which left the royal advisors and herself in equal power, for now. Her mother, the Queen, had no intrest of taking the throne if the King died, which means Raina would take the throne. The responsibility and the weight of the fact that her father might die soon was the reason she snuck out of the palace so much. It was her way of getting a breath of fresh air.
By the time lunch had finally ended and goodbyes were said, the sun was already casting longer shadows and the houses built into the side of the cliff where Adira lived were filled with bright sunlight. Soaring back to her house, she looked around at the island and the different areas, all connected by the large circle of grass in the center of the island she had just been in. It was peaceful, something that had only been achieved when she was young. She landed softly on the balcony outside her house and before forgetting, tucked her wings in so they didn't smack the door frame.
She didn't think getting ready would take that long, but after shimmying out of the formal uniform she had been wearing and into the softer and stretchier, form-fitting field uniform, she had her doubts. "Stupid..hair.." She grumbled, fighting with the wavy mess spilling around her and trying to braid it into a tight french braid so it wasn't in her way as she did recon. The last thing she wanted was to have her hair whipping around her and causing distractions that could be terrible. Even after finally getting her hair controlled, she wasn't quite finished, tucking several small knives into her clothes just in case and pulling on her sturdy, if not well worn boots.
Raina kept wandering around the square as the sun started its journey back acrossi the sky. A chimming clock in the distance reminded her that she needed to get back to the palace before six. It was only two but it was a long walk back and she wold need time to get ready.
Her team wasn't leaving until four, leaving her with way too much free time until then to fill with something. Adira flopped onto her bed when she finished getting ready, letting her wings spread out over the large circle bed that was common for her kind. A circular bed made it much easier when trying to fit large wings, and made for an easier time sleeping since less time is spent fighting with wings for space. Before she knew it, her eyes started to drift shut, though she quickly shook away the slight twinge of tired coming over her and tried to distract herself by going over stories of the humans in her head. There was no way she would fall asleep when her mind was preoccupied with bloody stories of humans plucking wings or breaking them so her kind was unable to fly, even cutting them off in the worst circumstances when her kind did no such thing when fighting, it was so unfair.
As Raina walked back to the palace, her mind drifted to the stories her grandfather told her. Her mind spefically focused on her favorites, the tale of the winged people. She smiled, remembering how many times she had begged for him to tell her those stories over and over again.
The tales of the beautiful winged creatures that could fly like birds, but speak like humans. She could never pinpoint why she liked those stories the best, maybe because her grandfather had actually seen the creature's before or it was something that happened not too long ago, but she adored them.
Time ticked by slowly, but the stories playing over in her head kept her occupied until she saw how low the sun was and decided to see if anyone else was ready to go. Adira tucked her wings in as she stepped out onto her balcony again, a tiny smile playing on her face as she turned around backwards and let herself fall off the stone slab balcony. The rush of wind in her ears made her smile grow as she hurtled towards the ground, spinning over in midair but not spreading her wings out until she was close to crashing against the boulders. She caught the wind just in time and with the help of her wings was soon soaring back into the sky, turning and heading towards the field of grass where she saw a few other familiar figures swooping and doing tricks in the air. At least she wasn't the last one to reach the field, noting that the stark white wings Gesine bore were still absent as well as Ekon's and his brother Lorcans' desert tan wings. The rest of the group was around though, and she received a chorus of different greetings as she swooped in and touched down on the grass again.
Rain a reached the castle and slipped in through the servent doors. She passed through the servent halls, waving at the maids as she passed by. She quickly made her wa up to her room, making sure none of the royal advisors saw her. No one knew that she would leave the castle alone except for the servents.
