"I have no clue what you just said, which is why I asked you for help." Zyra said, a headache slowly starting. Why now of all times? Why can't I just go for one day without a headache from the homework. Just one day, pleasee. At least it's not that bad now but I know i'll be dying later.
Victoria cracked a small smile. “Okay, so tell me what you need help with specifically,” she prompted gently.
"Are you trying to make me feel like an idiot?" Zyra asked with s small laugh.
“Not at all!” she protested, raising her hands in surrender. “I just want to know what you need help with specifically.”
Zyra couldn't help but laugh a little. "I'm kidding. Also, I understand jack shit about the subject, like I said before."
Victoria snorted. "Right. What's your homework, exactly?"
"We're learning about Venomous Tentacula." Zyra answered.
"Okay….." she hummed in thought. "What's your homework, though? Did you get any worksheets? Do you need to write an essay?"
"We're supposed to write an essay about how and why it's venomous." She answered.
“Makes sense..” She trailed off, thinking. “Alright, see this part here?” She pointed to a diagram in the textbook, adopting an almost teacher-like expression.
"Yea.." Zyra glanced at the diagram, quickly pushing up her glasses. Herbology never made sense to her, why would they need to learn about plants in the Wizarding World?
Victoria continued with something loosely resembling an unstructured lesson, doing her best to keep the points she made brief and easy to follow. When she was done, she pushed her ashy hair out of her face with a sigh. "Make sense?"
"…Yea, yep, I understood it perfectly." Zyra said, nodding her head. I understood like 50% of that shit
"You sure?" Victoria pushed her hair out of her face. "I'll be literally a few metres away if you still need any help, okay?"
"Yep, I got it." Zyra replied. She took out the homework she had to do and set it beside her. "By the way, thanks for helping me." She smiled at Victoria, then went back to her Herbology homework.
“No problem,” she replied with a smile, letting loose a light laugh when one of her birds landed on her shoulder, nipping at her ear for attention. “Okay, okay!” She returned to her bed, digging out a packet of bird treats.
Zyra chuckled as she glanced at her bird then quickly looked at her homework. Let's just get it over with. She quickly wrote her essay for Herbology, hoping she wouldn't smear ink anywhere but it happened a lot so she was still worried.
Victoria began to feed her birds, humming a tune. She stroked the head of the blue one, smiling to herself.
Zyra quickly scribbled down stuff about Venomous Tentacula, using the book as a reference. After she finished, she put the scroll away and began to work on her other homework.
“Almost done?” she called over her shoulder, letting her lovebird flutter off.
"Hm? Oh-yea, I only have Potions left." She answered, not looking up from her homework.
Victoria gave a nod. She turned to the window, leaning out and taking a deep breath of the fresh air.
Zyra finished the Arithmancy homework pretty quickly since she paid attention in that class. She put the Arithmancy homework away then worked on her Potions homework.
Victoria pulled out a chocolate bar she’d snuck out of the kitchens. “Want some?”
