(Oh okay awesome. How does the money thing work?)
(Maybe bets? They bet on who’ll win?)
(And whoever wins gets money?)
(Yep)
(Idk if you’re sure. I don’t wanna be annoying 🤷🏻♀️)
Aadya Krimosho forced a boot soul onto the face of the man, smirking in mean satisfaction. She flicked her long black hair out of her face, baring her teeth at everyone around her and shaking herself out. Despite the man’s tactics of unfair pulling of her hair, boots, and sleeves, she had prevailed.
A ref hurried out onto the mat, hurrying her off of the man and making her stand nearby. He rose once he was sure the man was okay, grabbed her hand and rose it in the air.
“I present your winner: Aadya! The strongest woman in Japan!”
“Now! Do we have any challengers?” the ref asked. A hush fell over the crowd. No one dared move. Leo took a breath. This was his chance. He probably wasn’t going to get another one.
”I challenge you,” he declared, stepping forward. The crowd practically parted to make way for him. He took of his hood and stared down the strongest woman in Japan.
The ref and woman both looked down at him.
The ref nodded and beckoned him up, helping him onto the mat. He quietly asked for his name and age, pushing him into a corner.
The woman, Aadya, looked disgruntled beyond belief. She walked sassily to her corner, her powerful arms crossed. Her dark blue eyes were narrowed and unfriendly.
Leo muttered to the ref his name and that he was 19. The ref looked surprised, because the boy was tall and looked at least 21. Leo ignored his surprise and shrugged his jacket off, leaving it in the corner. He wore a grey shirt underneath, and his tanned arms were muscular. He shook out his arms, returning the girls glare.
Aadya slammed her foot to the mat, baring her teeth. “Start the damn thing, ref.”
The refferee nodded curtly and beckoned for a mic. He received one from someone in the crowd, and he started his spreel introducing the fighters.
Leo rolled his eyes internally at Aadya’s teeth baring. She better not be this dramatic when we’re actually fighting, he thought. The referee droned on, listing things Aadya had done, that he was sure were very impressive. He clenched and unclenched his hands just as the ref was finishing his speech.
The ref looked to Aadya, sticking out an arm. “Aadya! Are you ready?” He exclaimed loudly into the mic.
“Sure am, ref,” Aadya growled, all eyes for Leo, her eyes narrowed angrily.
“Leo! Are you ready?”
“Yes,” Leo said. He lowered his chin, holding eye contact with Aadya.
“Then . . . Fight!” the ref yelled, backing up quickly.
Aadya didn’t move, flexing her shoulders, but didn’t move. She’d let this new kid make the first move. See at what lengths he’d go to make the first move.
(Who should win?)
(Ummmmmmmmmmm
idk I’m indicisive. what do you think?)
Leo sighed, realizing Aadya was waiting for his move. She seemed the type of person to jump in, just to catch him off his guard and just get the fight started, but no matter. He took two steps toward her, seeing if she would react.
(Oooof
Well Imean he’s new to this and Aadya’s the strongest woman in Japan… maybe she could win for angst and they somehow become friends afterwards? Maybe after a confrontation?)
Aadya didn’t move. She didn’t even flinch. She looked him over, frowning. It was obvious he was new to streetfighting. He’d be excellent at boxing, but this wasn’t boxing. It was dirtier than boxing. She smirked.
(Yeah that sounds good. Can we make the romance part gradual? If not, that’s chill, I’m just wondering)
Leo watched Aadya smirk. What she thought of him was written all over her face.
He brought his hand up in a chopping motion towards her neck, right at her esophagus.
(Oh sure. I’m used to fast, lol, sorry.)
Aadya gasped and jolted out of his way, grabbing his hand and twisting it. Her smirk returned.
“Nice move, newbie.” She thrust him away.
(Me too, that’s why I suggested it)
Leo stepped back, trying not to stumble. “Thanks,” he said. “What’s yours?”
(Do we have to, tho?)
Aadya smiled evilly. “Do you wanna learn my next move?” She slunk away from him to the other end of the mat, grinding her boots into the mat in thought.
(No, I suppose not)
“I’m sure I will eventually,” Leo said with a small smile. He settled into a relaxed stance, ready if she striked.
(Lol let’s just YEET into it lmao)
Aadya shifted her weight around, stretching out with a yawn. “Hmmmm… Well, come at me, then.” She beckoned him.
(Mkay cool)
Leo clenched, then unclenched his jaw. “Ladies first,” he said, his eyebrows going up and his face widening into a grin again.
Aadya dropped her arms to her sides, her fists clenched. “Aren’t you a lady, my good fellow?” She smiled a loopy smile.
Leo laughed as if to say silly me. “Fuck, you’re right.” Leo stepped forward with his left foot and kicked up with his right. His foot made contact with her chest and he quickly brought it back down so she wouldn’t be able to grab it.
Aadya gasped and stumbled back, grabbing herself with a face of anger. “We don’t play that dirty without consequences.” She let herself go and stepped close to him, seizing his shoulders and pushing him back, stomping on his feet so there was the possibility of him falling.
Leo eyes widened. Trying not to fall over, he grabbed Aadya’s upper arms, then slammed his head at hers.
