It was a rather slow day, since they didn't have any book clubs meeting up and children's reading hour was hours away. She mostly sat there reading, lost in the pages of a world she'd never get to visit. Eventually she noticed the handsome man falling asleep in the corner,so she stood up, grabbed the blanket, and tucked it in around him with a soft smile.
Although Zeros felt something against his back, he couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was. He opened her eyes and upon seeing the librarian being the one to bring the blanket to him, he smiled softly at her.
“Thank you…” he spoke in a low tone as he closed his eyes again, drifting away again.
"Sleep well dearest. Take all the time you need." She tucked it in around him and walked away, to go drink her tea and read her book. That was all fine and dandy, until about an hour later Children's Reading Hour started, in a separate small room in the library. Anyone who was in here got a rude start to their morning as the noisy crowd saw their friends and began to laugh and giggle about, ignoring the shushes and empty threats of their parents telling them to settle down. Crystal quickly moved the kids into the seperate room, and shut the door, starting in on reading a story of course. Then a coloring sheet and a puppet show. She was really good with kids.
Zeros woke up after the children came in but still had the blanket around him. He sat up straight, pulling the blanket more over himself so that it could stay there as he continued reading the book the librarian recommended. At this rate, he would most likely finish it by the end of the day.
The end of the childrens hour came and she rushed them out of the room to their waiting parents, giving them all a pack of fruit snacks as a treat. She was holding one kid on her hip, another having scrambled on top of her shoulders. She was really good with kids, talking with them before they are carried off. Luckily most of the parents were kind and just glad they got a short break from their kids. After the children had left or gone off to the shelves to find something to read, Crystal went over to the corner and shook Zero awake. "Dearest I hate to wake you but there's a wave of children and adults coming to this section of the library in a jiffy. I figured you'd rather have me wake you up kindly then a kid hitting you for, whatever reason."
Zeros looked over at her and nodded, gathering his things. He looked at her for another moment, smiling softly.
“Where else could I stay, if I may ask?” His voice was low as to not disturb the other guests.
