Every great once in awhile, a person is born with extraordinary abilities. No one really knows where they come from, but by now, everybody is used to it. So, they don't ask.
Sometimes, these people with extraordinary abilities become heroes. Sometimes they become villains. Sometimes they become neither and they're still playing video games in their mama's basement at age 32. Whatever works.
But nowadays, heroes and villains have become a normal part of society. It's been that way for as long as anyone can remember.
And the unspoken rule is simple: Everyone loves heroes; everyone hates villains. Now, granted, some people will greatly prefer one hero over another. Picking your favorite hero is a bigger deal than picking your favorite celebrity or sports team. Schools all over the place are filled with fan clubs for each of the heroes– usually that city's heroes, specifically. Heroes are great, and everyone loves them.
But what about the villains?
For every lovestruck teenager writing over-the-top romance fan-fictions about the heroes, there's a whole slew of them to write death-threats to the villains. Nobody really likes villains, except for a few weird groups here and there, but nobody talks about them. Not even the villains talk about them.

Character A is possibly one of the most hated villains in the country. After all, s/he has killed numerous superheroes– some of them on live TV– and wreaked a lot of havoc over the entire city. S/he is powerful, a true force to be reckoned with, and neither the police nor the heroes have yet to stop him/her. Character A fears no one.

Character B is part of that aforementioned group of weird people who like supervillains. You know, the ones that no one talks about? Yeah. That group. And s/he is possibly the only person in the entire nation who is infatuated with Character A. And by infatuated, we mean absolutely obsessed. Since nobody usually buys villain merch (except maybe to burn), Character B has probably made their own. They probably have a shrine in their closet to Character A. It's bad.
And Character A has never even heard of Character B.
Until… well, now.
Character B has finally taken their infatuation to a whole new level, and have officially started stalking Character A.
Character A isn't used to attention of any kind and– remember how we said Character A fears no one? Well, that was a lie. They start to fear Character B. Which is understandable, since Character B is relentless and has gone as far as to discover Character A's secret identity and follow them. Maybe they'll even eventually sneak into their home and try to kidnap them (in a good way, of course). Either way, Character A has a superfan– and it's not at all like they would've expected.

This could be a problem.

  RULES
  • MxF ships only. I would like for this to take a romantic turn– or at least, Character B will probably try to make it take a romantic turn– but I'd like it to be a straight ship.
  • No sex scenes. Now, we can do just about any other forms of physical affection. Embracing, kissing, cuddling, etc. etc. etc. Just no sex. That's not cool, man.
  • No language. Replace would-be curse words with dang, crap, heck, etc. Thank you.
  • Keep gore and violence around PG-13, but fighting is more than welcome here.
  • Try to post daily, but if you miss a day, no worries.
  • This is a LONG TERM RP, and if it does go romantic, it's a slow burn. Well, on Character A's part. B's already head-over-heels.
  Characters

You may pick to be either A or B. However, I would like to be the male character, because I'm not very good at roleplaying females, so whichever character you pick will be the female.
Example: if you want to be A, A will be female and I will be B, who will be male.
If you want to be B, B will be female and I'll be A, who will be male.

Character A– The Supervillain
Powerful but easily flustered and all-around unprepared for this

Character B– The Superfan
Obsessive about the supervillain for whatever reason and willing to go to any lengths to prove it

Either can have powers. These powers cannot be magical or demonic. They are merely unexplained.
You can work out the details of whichever one you pick. B doesn't necessarily have to be insane if you choose them, just obsessive to the point that it's mildly concerning. A doesn't have to arrogant, just confident and quite intimidating– to everyone except B.

@Moriarty

Alright! ^-^ I shall be character B, then. I'm glad that you're interested; I feel like this'll be a pretty fun roleplay.

Here is a template for us to use.

Name: Elizabeth "Lizzie" Lewis
Alias: Haunt
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Brief personality description: Lizzie is a bright woman, one who usually keeps to herself. She's quiet and often hides behind hats and scarves. She has the aura of a woman who doesn't want to be noticed.
Brief appearance description: Lizzie has dirty blonde hair, long enough to just go past her shoulders. It's straight but does have a natural wave to it, she straightens those out though. Her eyes are dark brown and framed by thick lashes. She's tall and stands at about 5'9 with a lithe frame.
Preferred outfit: Usually she wears a sweater and a scarf of some sort, but her costume is a black turtleneck with a silver hood. She also has a mask that covers the top half of her face.
Gear/Weapons: A whip that wraps around her arm, can also shift into a staff.
Abilities/powers: She can turn into a phantom-like being. (Drift through walls, float, etc.)
Skills/strengths: She's pretty quick and her powers just make her faster. She turns phantom then sneaks up on the hero, puts her fist through their chest, then turns human again.
Weaknesses: Not really one for socialization, she will get nervous just talking to people.

@Moriarty

Name: Winston Keith Connor
Alias: N/A; he's not a hero or villain. Just a weird dude with an incredibly unhealthy obsession.
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Brief personality description: Winston comes across as the awkward sort right off the bat, but he has a kind heart and is usually friendly. He's very passionate about certain things and can be quite clingy, possibly due to a somewhat rough and unstable childhood. He's not clinically insane, though I'd guarantee a lot of people consider him to have a few screws loose. He has a tendency to be unpredictable and sporadic in his behavior. When he gets mad, he tends to rage, and it's never good.
Brief appearance description: 6'0", with average width shoulders and fair skin. He's average weight, by no means chubby but not quite skinny either, but he doesn't work out, so he's not toned or anything. He has thick chocolate brown hair, styled up but kind of messy, and mint-green eyes. He has a few faint freckles splattered across the bridge of his nose, though they're hardly noticeable, and a splotchy birthmark on his neck.
Preferred outfit: He likes hoodies or sweaters, dark jeans– oh, and he also likes Haunt-themed tshirts, but they don't make those, so he had to improvise and buy a t-shirt design printer to make some himself.
Gear/weapons: Weapons? Well, currently he doesn't really carry weapons. He's a civilian who works at a local cafe and idolizes a supervillain in his free time, so unless a cup of steaming coffee or his raw passion could be considered a weapon…
Oh wait. That last one actually probably could.
Abilities/powers: He can teleport anywhere within about a mile radius of himself– though he doesn't use this ability a lot. He has daydreamed about becoming a supervillain so that he could meet his… uh… "hero", but he's never acted on it.
Skills/strengths: Unless being loyal to the death counts, not many. But he can make a mean latte.
Weaknesses: Let's see… His unhealthy obsession, his all around weirdness, his response to strong emotions such as anger… This poor boy is a ball of weaknesses.
Other: Let's see… Oh yeah. He has a horribly unhealthy obsession with Haunt.

@Moriarty

Splendid. Thank you. ^-^ Alright, then. What do you think would be a good way for us to start? At this point, I imagine that Winston has never actually met her in person, and maybe he doesn't know her identity yet– but he's already obsessed with her and has been for some time. We could start with him actually seeing her in action for the first time aside from just on the news, or possibly when he happens to come across the information that prompts him to find her secret identity. Or he could just meet her in public as her normal form, get to talking to her, and somehow figure out the truth… Hang on. Let me organize this string of incoherent thoughts.
STARTING IDEAS

  • Lizzie meets Winston and he instigates conversation since she's shy and anxious. Perhaps things are going relatively normal and fine until she realizes that he's a psycho obsessed with Haunt– who happens to be her. Maybe he figures out its her and then he officially starts stalking her.
  • Winston has already been stalking Lizzie for awhile, already knows she's Haunt, but he is just now officially stalking her in person and trying to gain her attention since he essentially worships her.
  • Winston is out late one night and witnesses her in action. He's like "ohmigosh. It's really you. Please give me your autograph and love me." Of course, nobody loves villains so this would probably concern her, but I imagine she'd just go on with her life from here– except Winston would be even more riled up now because he was empowered by the fact that he actually saw her and spoke to her.
  • Do you have any ideas? These are all just random things that popped in my head.

I like the third one!! 'Cause Lizze would just be like "… what?"

@Moriarty

Okay! Let's do it. Would you like to start, or shall I? If you start, you might make her be doing something in public, or in a place where at least Winston could possibly be– even if it happens to be a dark alley or whatnot. If I start, I'll just do a quick introduction of him venturing into a place such as the aforementioned alley.

Lizzie slipped out of an alley, fastening her silver cloak onto her shoulders. She began to move toward a large building, it was the holding of a meeting for a few city officials and some popular heroes. They were planning to get rid of her and that couldn't happen, well, getting rid of her would be hard in the first place.

She threw open the door, a practiced cold smile on her face. "Hello dears, it seems you were having a party without me." She purred. It was always easier to become Haunt, Haunt wasn't afraid of anything. Haunt was powerful and Haunt could talk to anyone.

Soon enough, the sight of a body being launched out a window, bloodied and landing in the street with a sickening crunch.

@Moriarty

Most of the people who saw the flailing body screamed and fled; others intentionally put distance between them and the building from which it had came while they whipped out their phones to record the chaos. Either way, they were all shaken by the sudden turn of events.
And then there was Winston.
Ah, Winston. Some people knew him as the odd dude who worked at the local cafe. The one who always watched the news intently when it played on the TV screen in the cafe where he worked. A few noticed that he only watched the news intently when a certain name was mentioned. Haunt's name, specifically.
Granted, those who knew him thought he was a bit off. He was always nice to them, but they automatically found him creepy because of his interests. Truth be told, none of them fully understood how deep his interests actually ran– and if they had, they probably would've avoided him altogether.
Today, he had been up to nothing in particular, walking home to his crummy apartment down the block– when something came flying through the window of a nearby building.
Winston froze at the sight of the body, though he neither ran nor screamed. Even as the city officials and those within the building fled through the door and rushed past him, he stood still. Curiosity overpowered his common sense, because he felt a sudden urge to find out what was going on. Before he could even ask, though, he heard someone scream "Haunt's in there!"
Winston's heart stopped– but not from fear.
No, no, no.
Not even close.
It was from excitement.
Could it be? Could the Haunt actually be inside that very building? Could it have been her hands that killed the dead man on the ground?
Winston could only hope.
He shoved through the fleeing people and towards the building with more vigor than before, eager to confirm these hopeful thoughts. Even if he could just catch a glimpse of her, it would be all worth it. He didn't remotely fear getting killed. As far as he was concerned, it would probably be an honor to die at the hands of his favorite person in existence.

Haunt shifted into phantom form, jumping out of the window and landing on the ground. She shifted out of this form as soon as she hit the ground, running to block the officials and heroes from exiting the building. "Hi again." She whispered, letting her arm go spectral before she entered the woman in front of her's chest and becoming solid again. Haunt pulled her now blood-covered arm from the woman, holding a still heart in her hand. "Ah, a souvenir."

@Moriarty

Winston froze in his tracks, merely ten or twenty feet away from the action. People were screaming. Crying. Terrified. But he wasn't.
He was amazed.
He stared at the blood-covered villain with nothing but pure awe. It was her. It really was. His breath hitched, his heart thumping wildly from the pure excitement that bubbled up inside of him.
It took the poor over-enthusiastic fanboy several seconds to pull himself together enough so that he could even form words to speak. "Oh my– It's– I can't believe this!" he sputtered. "It's– you! It's really you!"

Haunt turned her eyes away from what she was doing, dropping the heart. "Uh… What?" Her voice lost its cold edge, now mostly just confused. "What are you talking about?" She asked. "I think you have the wrong person, the heroes are…" Haunt looked down at her hands. "Actually all dead."
