Character A is someone who is on the run from a threat they has encountered on one of their adventures. They have become some sort of a nomad, moving from kingdom to kingdom and due to this their story has actually traveled many many kingdoms. People and creatures of all kinds are curious to know more about the adventures of A but A always keeps themselves on a low. After all, Making connections would only slow them down? But how long could they run for before tiering out?
Character B is somewhat of an adventure though they do not get many chances to go out or any farther than they’d hope. They want to see far lands and meet new people but their duties at home are like chains tied to their feet, not letting them escape. Not until they meet A.
The threat will be discussed as we move on w/ the plot. (I have an idea of what it is)
The time period is going to be roughly Medieval with some form of magic/different creatures but I don’t want to dwell on those topics too long (unless they come up in rp).
Preferably M/F (though I am better at being M). I'd like to be Character A but I am always open for switching to Character B.
I usually tend to jump into the rp's with no template but upon request, I can give a simple one!
Rules:
- I am not comfortable with writing any smut. If it somehow does lead into it, we fade to black.
- If you join and decide (over time) that you are going to take a break/drop the rp, please do let me know!
- Cursing is alright in my books as long as it isn't used excessively!
- andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s rules apply
- One paragraph is good enough. Please no one-liners. Grammar plays a big part in understand the responses (though I may even fall into the category of not being the best either)!
- If all goes well and you have ideas to change or expand on the prompt, shoot it at me!
- I feel like I want to go for a more Platonic relationship (going off the first rule I posted).
(Bad idea on my part. But I wish to try and start roleplaying again.)
(Hey! I feel like we did have an rp before?)
(You're open to join though! Do you prefer a character? An do you care if we Just jump into it with no character sheets?)
(We can do that. Also, we can do no temp. It makes learning more interesting.)
(As for character, it's up to you. I have ideas for both.)
(Hey! I feel like we did have an rp before?)
(Um. Possibly. I have no recollection of it if that is the case, however.)
(As for character, it's up to you. I have ideas for both.)
(In that case Is it alright if I take A? I have a character for it)
(Hey! I feel like we did have an rp before?)
(Um. Possibly. I have no recollection of it if that is the case, however.)
(From what I remember, we did plan to start one but it never really happened.)
(Alright than! I'll post the Starter asap!)
The sun was rising in the sky as Golem slowly walked into the new kingdom. The morning breeze and the chirping birds calmed Golem. It really has been quite some time since no running… no fear blinded Golems actions.
As he walked into the gates of the kingdom, guards started approaching. He bowed in the direction of the guards. Golem always acted with respect. After all that's all a person really wanted, right?
Near the center of the circular path there was a large and beautiful fluorescent tree with what looked like an artwork of a sun and a moon rotating around each other made in the dirt where it was planted. From what it looked like, the leaves themselves were glowing. Not all but enough to be amazed by just one look. Looking around now, golem saw some people starting to exit their homes and start opening their shops. No one paid much attention to the newcomer to the kingdom.
Golem looked around at the shops. Food. That's what I need… His stomach growled as he started to walk towards all the shops.
(Sorry for the wait! Work really drained me)
Anna was a very… notorious character within the city. Not to say she wasn't well liked, quite the opposite - even despite her brazen acts of petty thievery, her honestly quite loud and fiery narure, tendency to beat the 9 hells out of the poor fools who challenged her in the all too common and very illegal street and bar brawls, and tendency to race out of the city for short lived and usually unrewarding adventures, the shop keepers and general townsfolk loved her. She was at least honorable… at least, as much as a hoodlum like her could be. She did her best to "pay back" shopkeepers, though it was always in the form of some mysterious trinket or other from the ruins just past the walls of the city. She made sure her battered and bruised opponents were at least not bleeding externally too bafly. And honestly the city guard enjoyed the breaks of staring at the same dusty dirt hour after hour, chasing down this wild girl.
Today, though, adventure was not in the plans. Hadn't been for months. Her parents had fallen ill, and so the ever capricious Anna had been robbing unattended homes and stores and fencing anything of worth. She'd fucked up today, though.
She'd gotten caught.
And so we find ourselves in the present: Anna, sprinting, being chased by a dog she'd lost track of in her single minded determination to "RUN!" Anna, turning a corner sharply.
Anna, bowling straight into… a person. A stranger, dusty from travel.
(Sorry for the novel. I'll try and keep it shorter after this.)
Golem was busy lost in thought before suddenly getting the wind knocked out of him by a random woman. He wheezed as he hit the ground but at that moment his instincts kicked in. Though he still was having some trouble breathing, he tried taking small breaths. When he could finally breath normally he got up and looked at the person who had ran into him.
Golem mumbled under his breath, walked up to the woman and offered a hand to help her get up. As he waited for either an expectance for his help or a denial to it, a thought popped up in his head.
Is this some sort of attack?! Golem put his hand back and started to reach for something in his pocket. Ah no! Don't be so rash. This is a new kingdom. One that I have never traveled to before. I shouldn't be attacked… At least not yet!
Golem now stood there, trying to think of what to do. As his hand left his pocket one of his quills fell out but he paid no attention to it. Now that Golem had his hand out again, he started to notice that others had started to look at what happened.
(Dont be sorry!)
Anna yelped and looked up at who she'd run into, barely giving it another thought as she leaped up to her feet in one quick movement. She grabs the man by the wrist and without waiting for him to process any further she takes off again, darting between the crowds, dragging the unfortunate man along with her for the ride.
"Just follow me. I can find you a place to stay if you just hold onto something for me for now," she pleads, out of breath as they run.
She makes a sharp turn into a hidden alleyway and stops, letting go of the man and hunching over, placing her hands on her knees for a moment before straightening.
Though the sky was bright, much of the alleyway was obscured by the thatch roofs of the two buildings. In the dim alleyway, her dark russet brown hair, cut short and bristly, looked almost black; and her eyes - a very peculiar gokd color - stared unflinching, trying to get a better look at the man she'd bumped into.
"Name's Anna," she greets, flashing a tight but jovial smile at the man. "Who are you?"
As Golem ran alongside this strange woman, the hood that was attached to his cloak flew off and was flapping behind his head like a flag reveling his muddy brown hair with traces of dirt and mud on it.
As they turned into the alleyway, Golem stopped for a moment to catch his breath. It wasn't that he was tired, no. It was the fact that it had happened so suddenly that he was not ready for it. Once he caught his breath he looked over to the woman who had now told him that her name was Anna.
He gave a sheepish smile and Nodded his head in greeting. "Ah, Anna. Pleasure to meet you. My name is Golem Hakk. Golem work's. Or Hakk, if you prefer." He stopped for a moment. A thought crossed his mind.
"If I settle in this kingdom for a little, Will we always need to be running like this?" This as said in a more Joking tone but he was also genuinely asking.
Anna looks up at the man - He's quite tall. Very dirty. Traveller? Adventurer? she wonders.
"Good t' meet you Golem," she replies brightly.
"Say, are you Golem because you're strong, or did you just pick a name to hide behind that half matched your stature?" she asks him, not really thinking about it. Before he could answer, she was already speaking to answer his question.
"Nah, it's just a consequence of something I did shortly before running into you," she responds airily, dodging the implications of the question. "Anyways, as I said. I can find you a place to stay if you do two things for me. How about it? You interested?"
She looks up at Golem and grins deviously.
Golem cleared his throat when he heard her question. He was ready to answer back but Anna quickly cut him off.
"You say you have a place to stay?" Golem paused for a moment. He did need a place to stay for the time being yet he till didn't want to take the offer due to what she said afterwards.
"Depending on what two things you are asking for? And if not perhaps I can help you in other ways?"
(Sorry for the extremely short response. I've had writers block for the past few weeks)
Anna nods and tilts her head.
"It's nothing difficult mate. Just need you to avoid mentioning you met me for now, and hold onto an… object of importance," she replies. "As long as you can do that I can get you hooked up in a decent inn near the front gates."
She figured he'd want to be close to an exit, being a traveller and all. Of course she could be wrong but the deal itself was pretty good.
(It's quite alright, I understand.)
