"Hmm. You're using 'king' so maybe it's a bunch of rogue demons," said The High Devil. He noticed that indeed the shop had cleared out a bit. He knew that, if he stayed too long, he'd have an employee up his face. Someone begging for the killing to happen. He hated that. "As much as I want to stay in a good smelling coffee shop, we have to get out of here. Before long, there will be one employee begging me to stop talking and start killing, which I'm not doing tonight." He smiled. "Love to do something else though." He got up and threw his cup into the trash. "Ready for a walk?" he asked, wanting to… no. He wouldn't fall for good looks; he'd get stoned by Lust (not that he'd get stoned to death, though.). No, no, no, no, no.
(Have to switch to mobile soon, and, since it's impossible to do long texts without crashing its internet app, I don't really think I can write more roleplaying stuff tonight. I also might not be on at all tomorrow. If so, see you Tuesday.)
(That's fine—I have school tomorrow, anyways, so if I'm on at all during the day, then it's because I'm procrastinating something)
"Perhaps," Quin mumbled thoughtfully, thinking of all the problems that those specific demons had been the root of. His eyebrows quirked at the insinuation of the older male's words, a grin slowly taking form on his face. "Something or someone?" he teased, standing from the booth and following the other's lead again. "Although that does bring me to my next point—we've established that I'm not human and that I'm a hunter in a different city, but other than that, I think I know much more about you than you, me. How about a game of questions? I'd say twenty, but I always lose track."
(Bump, since this maybe slipped your mind)
"Um, okay." said The High Devil. He walked out of the coffee shop. "How about we take turns? Like, a question per turn." He took a quick glance to see if anyone was near. No, not that he could see. "Hmm, how about I asked first?" He didn't wait for a response. "Have you ever dated? I mean, with…. Nevermind. Just… have you ever dated?" He blushed. I swear, if I get smack by Lust for this, I totally deserve it. I thought I was above lustful feelings! His cheeks burned a bright red. Ug, I'm gonna pay if Lust finds out. Do I care though? Do I really care if I get smacked in the face by Lust? Uggg.
(Oh, no, it didn't slip my mind. I just wasn't on long enough to post a reply lol. Should be able to be online tomorrow.)
(Okay, no problem lol. I'm just not going to be able to post a whole lot tomorrow or Thursday since my college applications are due and I gotta make sure everything is together!)
Quin nodded in agreement, smiling to himself as he listened to The High Devil's question. The smile only grew at his companion's implication, and he couldn't help the laugh that slipped from his mouth. "Have I ever dated any guys, you mean? There's easier ways of asking what my sexuality is, you know," he said, knocking his shoulder lightly into The High Devil's arm to let him know he was just being friendly. "But yeah, I've dated before. A couple of girls and a couple of guys, although those relationships don't typically tend to last," he answered, his smile taking on a regretful tone. A small part of his brain was nagging him to just tell The High Devil why he was feeling so attracted to a stranger, before either of them fell into what sometimes seemed to be an inescapable trap of hurt feelings, but he was kind of hoping it'd be one of the man's questions so he didn't have to just outright say it. Usually when he told people what he was, they'd distance themselves from him and claim their feelings were completely fake, which just unnecessarily hurt both parties, so he mentally steeled himself just in case. Forcing back those thoughts for the time being, he glanced to the older man again. "Now you've gone and gotten me curious about your sexuality, so I suppose my question would have to be the same," he said, poorly feigning a disappointed sigh.
The High Devil laughed. "Me? Date anyone? I can't get a human to look at me with their own free will if they know me!" He smiled. "No hard feelings, though. It was a bit inappropriate of me to laugh. I've never dated before and am the only one who-" A shiver ran down his spine, "hasn't slept with Lust ever." His mind turned to the amount of times Lust dressed… not so appropriately, trying to get his attention. The amount of times she slipped a drug in his drink, forgetting that he was immune to that stuff, since he didn't hurt her. Lust trying to make him jealous and failing miserably. She's just never realized that I don't love her. He looked over at Quin. "If you ever encounter a woman with metallic blue hair who is wearing a leather jacket with spikes on it, run away." he said. "That's what Lust looks like." He sighed. "My next question is this: If you're not fully human, then what are you?" He put his hands in his pockets. "If you don't mind me asking."
The hunter winced sympathetically. "Sounds pretty rough," he admitted. He opened his mouth to ask more about Lust, but broke himself off as The High Devil voiced his next question. Ah, there we go, he thought, feeling a little worried as to what the man's reaction would be. There was an air of hesitation—the first time Quin had truly hesitated since he ran into him—before he forced a smile, reverting to his previous bravado. "Right to the point, I see. Well, this'll probably answer some of your other questions, anyways. I'm a halfblood. Half-siren, to be exact," he explained, deciding to just rip off the proverbial Band-Aid. "And before you ask, no, I haven't purposefully done anything to seduce you—that's a stereotype that needs to die," he added pointedly.
"What?" The High Devil laughed uneasily. "Why would I suspect that?" He continued to laugh. "Do you know how devils work? They are used to not on purpose… things. Lust seduces people on purpose, but she the only one who does things on purpose. The Devil of Arrogance accidentally makes people arrogant around her. The Devil of Murder fills people's minds with the 'delights' of murder. Ananas accidentally makes people curse more often." The High Devil smiled. "I didn't know that your halfblood-ness was making me attracted to you, but if you say you're not doing it on purpose, then I believe you. And what stereotype? I've… never heard of it."
