(Yeaaah, Sigurd has a few control issues lmao.)
Sigurd tore through the town, ripping apart house after house as he searched for the boy. His form grew less and less human, all the more giant and animalistic with thousands of arms and eyes staring in judgement. He ripped the police station from the ground and threw it down, any and all gunshots bouncing off of him like toy bullets.
Cerulean toddled into the town with several small fish still held in his arms, seeming confused and scared of all the noise. He stuck another fish in his mouth and kept walking, trying to figure out what was going on. Most people were simply running away and didn't have time to pay him any mind.
Sigurd eventually spotted the boy, and rushed towards him like a dog would it’s owner, excited and worried one in the same. “Mmrp?” he purred, tilting his head and snapping his jaws wildly, drool dripping down from his mouth in waves.
Cerulean stumbled backwards and looked up at the strange creature, startled by it coming towards him. He was quivering a bit and he wasn't sure whether or not to be afraid. After a few seconds of hesitation, he tentatively reached out one tiny hand to try and touch Sigurd.
(Hhhh I'll need a new roleplay partner for this one too qwq)
(I have a grumpy water elemental empath who probably needs an innocent dragon halfling to adopt…? I know ours usually die but… shrugs Cerulean is so cute!)
(Smiles happily Yay! meet me in our previously dead PM?)
Cerulean stumbled backwards and looked up at the strange creature, startled by it coming towards him. He was quivering a bit and he wasn't sure whether or not to be afraid. After a few seconds of hesitation, he tentatively reached out one tiny hand to try and touch Sigurd.
Sigurd moved to bump his head down the rest of the way, slowly sizing back down to normal proportions, despite still being stuck in a monstrous state. He growled a little, tilted his disgusting, malformed head, and whined, like a dog might at it’s owner when unallowed to go outside and run around.
Cerulean still seemed a bit uneasy and confused and unsure what to do with himself, especially since other people around him were running away. He figured he was supposed to be scared, but he didn't know why. "Are you okay?" He asked the creature softly, not knowing that it was Sigurd.
“Mmrp!” the thing exclaimed, silver tears falling from it’s many, many eyes until eventually, all there was was Sigurd, shaking and crying as he pulled Cerulean close to him, nearly squishing the boy for how tight his grasp was. “I-I thought someone had h-hurt you, that, that, that, that you’d been s-stolen away, you silly b-boy.” he sobbed.
"I-I just got hungry, so I went fishing for myself, Mr. Sigurd…" Cerulean explained, relaxing when the odd creature transformed back into the familiar man. "Why'd you turn into the big spooky thing, sir?" He asked, confused.
“I was scared, I was hurt, I hurt others, I just… gods, I’ve failed you, haven’t I?” he whimpered, pulling Cerulean close and sobbing into the boy’s shoulder. “I shouldn’t be putting all this on you, you’re just a kid.”
"F-Failed me? What do you mean, sir?" Cerulean asked, still bewildered. "You're not responsible for me or anything… I can take care of myself. You don't have to worry so much about me."
"But I do! You… you're just a child. You shouldn't be so responsible." he cried. Cerulean, if he decided to head home, would find his father there, a little disoriented and maybe slightly raving mad, but otherwise unharmed. Sigurd couldn't keep doing this, not anymore.
"It's okay, sir… I'm okay, I promise. Why are you so worried about it?" He asked, confused. "My dad never worried when I was gone for a long time… he knows I always come back, anyway."
"I just, well. Anything could happen, you could get hurt or sick or kidnapped and I wouldn't even be able to protect you, is the distressing thing." he explained.
Cerulean shrugged a bit, seeming both confused and unconcerned. "I'm sure I'd be fine, sir. The people here are nice! And I heal up pretty good, and usually I don't get sick unless I'm not drinking enough water."
"Alright… I still don't trust your idea of nice, but alright. Look, kid, if you want to come home with me, I promise nothing bad will happen. But with your dad… I don't know what state he'll be in when you get home." Sigurd sighed.
"Okay, sir… uhm… why would my dad be in a different state than usual?" Cerulean asked, confused as he took Sigurd's hand in his own tiny one.
"He hasn't seen you in a while, it would be right for him to worry." that, and I literally drove him to madness with my spooky evil powers Sigurd distinctly didn't say.
"He never worries when I'm gone, though. I've been gone for longer than this before and he didn't care." Cerulean shrugged a bit. "I doubt he'll notice me being gone, sir."
