This is set in the future. Like lots of new and exciting technology, new plants and stuff, and before you're born, your parents design your eyes (and only your eyes). You can get them changed if you want, and most do, but it's special if your parents design your eyes.
I would prefer this to be a straight relationship but their sexuality doesn't have to be straight.

Appearance: Rich brown hair—on the border of dark ginger, down to his shoulders, usually kept pulled back. Light green eyes, eyebrows are a little thick, but not too much so. He has a narrow face and a stocky, skinny build, standing at 5'6. Thin lips and a dimple on his left cheek when he smiles. His ears kind of stick out.
Style: Prefers thick/comfy, monotone clothing (sweatshirts, jackets, soft t-shirts), wears jeans with almost everything. Has round reading glasses since he spends quite a while out of his day behind a screen. Wears sneakers for the sake of comfort and practicality.
Personality: He sits in a comfortable area between logic and emotion. He's deeply empathetic, but his body and facial expressions tend to go blank at any strong emotion. He takes a long time to process emotional situations, as he works through them in logical steps to keep the process easy. Easily overthinks, stutters, needs time to consider everything. When he's comfortable though, he can get rather wild and passionate.

She wears a pale blue piece of fabric over her eyes that can only be taken off and put on by an actual human. She's told to wear it because her eyes are glazed over, don't move even a millimetre and she doesn't blink much anymore. Apparently it's creepy.
