Skye sensed her tense posture, "I'm not a-" he cut himself off, tensing as he heard shouts in the stairwell, "Hang on!" he sprinted for the opposite edge of the roof, heading straight for the edge.

She tried her best to relax seeing as he wasn't a horse but she held on tightly, willing her heart to relax.

Skye suddenly lept of the roof, warping to one far below them.

She closed her eyes, letting him do what he was going to.

Soon he stopped, having warped/ran halfway across town.. "we should be good now… " he said, half laughing.

She opened her eyes again, combing her wind teased tangles with her fingers. "You sure this time?"

"Yeah, I warped us halfway across town…"

"They'll probably still find us.'

"No… not for a long while…" said Skye. "For one those guys are unfamiliar with the city, two It's hard to track someone who warps half a block for every one stride he takes."

"Well that should stop them for a while."

"Yeah…" said Skye, "I just hope they don't find us again…"

"Hey, we survived it once, we'll survive it again."

"Yeah…" said Skye.. "But thise guys that were after us.. they weren't city guards…"

"Then who were they?"

"Hunters"

"Not surprised, to be honest."

"I meant Wolf Hunters… they were after me specifically."

"Yeah, I noticed one of them had an emblem or something on his sleeve." She frowned slightly. "But if they were looking for you, then why did they only point me out?"

"They thought you were special to me, or someone they could use to keep me from running…" said Skye, "They know I'm one who won't let others get hurt easily, so if I'm with anyone… they'll target them in attempt to slow me down.."

"So you saved the girl you just met even though letting them catch me would give you time to get away before they realized it was a dead end because…why?"

"Cause I'd never let an innocent get hurt by the jerks who forced my mom to leave me on the streets"

"I'm not an innocent though. They want me dead too. The evil Duke had four children and only one that they know is still alive. And the apple never falls far from the tree."

"Wolf Hunters generally only hunt Wolves, or halfbloods like me" said Skye, "they don't do bounty hunting unless its for an extremely handsome price"

"And I know people who could pay those extremely handome prices easily and absolutely would." She sighed quietly. "Because everyone is against me and to be honest I'd be better off dead."

"That's not true…" said Skye, "I'm not against you"
