Idk, somebody runs away to join the Circus. They meet someone who grew up in the circus and fall in love.
I kinda want this to have a bit of a fantasy old time setting so settle magic and or otherworldly looking creatures are welcome. ^^

I can be either. I actually have a character that grew up in the circus then she left, but for this she could have never left, if you want me to be that character.

The circus. The big top. Whatever you wanted to call it. It was magical, and Tarek new why. It was a sanctuary for people who looked like him. For the ones that had what was left of the magic in this world.
He took a step forward, the bright lights calling to him.
In the center, Evangeline was on the flying trapeze, the finale of her performance coming up. Her first time performing it live, she was beyond nervous even though she really shouldn't be. Standing at the top platform, she jumped, holding onto the bar. As practiced, she flipped once in a straddle the second tucked. Conjuring a short rope from the bracelet on her wrist, she threw it up to the catcher and swung with him, doing tricks in the process. By the end, her heart was racing and her breath was fast, but she was overjoyed. Eva let go of the rope, falling onto the net below her while spinning and flipping in the process.
"Wow." Tarek breathed. He stood in the flap of the tent, and clapped along with everyone else. His stark white eyes wide in amazement. He wondered if these people knew of the magic the performers used. If so what would they say?
After she got off of the net, she stood feet together and her hands up in the air and bowed, running off stage with a huge smile just a second later. That had been the very end of their show that night. Another was planned for the next night with some different acts, of course, all involving magic.
Not to long after the crowd cleared out, Tarek found himself still there. He already built up the courage to run- now he just needed the courage to meet the performers, and ask- beg if needed- them to let him join.
Evangeline stood backstage, adrenaline still coursing through her veins. She joined everyone else who was cheering for the success of the first show of this season. After that calmed down, they all had to go clean up for the night. She was one of the first people out, noticing a figure still standing in the door she went to investigate. "Hello? May I help you?"
Tarek pulled his cap down to hide anything about him that might seem inhuman. "I uh," he started, trying to find the right words. "What does it take for one to join you- er the circus?" He kept his eyes cast downwards. Most though he was possessed, that he was always rolling his eyes into the back of his head. "If its possible?"
The circus master(?) had come over to the two of them. Evangeline opened her mouth only to be interrupted by the man. "Of course! We are having a shortage of members right now so you are very welcome here. Please follow me and we will get you situated." The man smiled, gesturing for Tarek to follow him. Evangeline smiled as well and gave him a small wave before she went help the rest of the circus clean up.
Tarek was surprised to say the least. He was almost ready to be turned away by the lady. He remembered seeing her act. How breath taking it was. Tarek quickly followed the circus master. Over joyed to have been excepted so easily. "Thank you." He muttered.
"Of course! We are always happy to have more people!" The master lead Tarek to a makeshift office. He sat down in a chair motioning for Tarek to sit in the other. "I'm going to have you fill out a few papers before we get started. He handed him a pen and a few pieces of paper.
Evangeline was excited to see what their new recruit could do. She quickly packed somethings up, leaving the rest for everyone else. She waited outside the 'office' for them to be finished.
Tarek looked around the makeshift office as he sat. Clear amazement on his face, even though it was just an office. He looked down at the papers, and took the pen in his clawed like hand. Tarek knew his hand writing wasn't the best. But hopped that the ring master would be able to read the papers when he finished.
The circus manager didn't really read the papers since they were mostly things to sign, he did, however, read the very little personal information written on them. Just the important stuff like deadly allergies, health conditions, and favorite hobby. Evangeline grew bored already so she went off backstage to change into her regular clothes.
