Seo-Hyeon opened her eyes to the sound of her small white fluffy kitten beside her face, curled up on her white hair, almost blending in. “Phoebe….goodness why are you so loud hm?” She says quietly, her voice sweet as sugary strawberry cream, her whole room smelled of vanilla and a light hint of cool cinnamon, as she always did, though today she thought about using cotton candy perfume today. She just couldn’t decide.
Sitting up and stretching, her thin silk white nightgown a little tight around her arm and waist, as she twisted it in her sleep. Yawning and standing, she turned over to her kitten who was playing with the cord charger from her phone, the small yellow iPhone sitting on the small desk right beside her bed and under her lamp with a lacy white lampshade.
Picking her school uniform up, she got dresses, brushed her long alabaster hair and man did she want to cut it. Light makeup with a bit of lipgloss, giving her lips a nice soft look to them.
Debating whether she should put in her contacts or not. Soon deciding against them, as she wanted to be as natural as possible. As always, though she got bullied for her looks quite a bit.
She always got the extremes when people met her, and most didnt like her. But some loved her. Not much though. It was rare for someone to like her. Annoying freak who was too nice for no good reason.
She was used to it though, so she was alright. Everyday was the same, and she didnt have any intention on changing that.
Running out of the door and waving goodbye to her brother and kissing her mothers cheek goodbye and ignoring her stepfather who glared at her.
“Hey, don’t go ignorin me you freak. Who do you even think you are anyway? Do you want beat or somethin?” He snarled at her, setting down the bottle on the table, Seo-Hyeon flinching at the slight noise, rubbing her forearm a little, which was bruised with a little cut going through it. But of course it was covered by her sleeve, upon multiple other marks inflicted by him. “No… I’m sorry. I didn't see you…” she says stopping, her smile coming down to a small frown, avoiding eye contact, though she knew she would regret it.
Her brother coming downstairs, tall dark and handsome as her friends always described him as.
“ 그를 무시해” he says to his sister with a sigh as he stepped down from the step with his hands in his pocket. Red hoodie with big white words in Korean and sweatpants. His black messy wavy hair fell into his face as his white and grey eyes glared at the man on the couch, muttering things to himself.
She nodded and turned around, walking out of the house, forcing a smile and waving at her neighbors, the sweet old couple waved back at her.
Getting on her white and pastel pink motorcycle, with her white helmet, tying her hair up in a big loose bun before slipping it over and taking off, forgetting how her morning started and forced herself to think of the day as it had just begun. “Today’s going to be a good day” she told herself over and again before she arrived at school.
