oh! I have a great character in mind here! She's been running around my head for days!!

Name: Nekeisha Talia Imran. Often goes by Ne, Nini, or Keisha.
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Species: Human but with magic in her blood from wayyyyy back
Looks: lol she's inspired by a photo.. here curly hair/ Black girls
Personality: Free spirit, kind, sweet, sassy, and nerdy but can be standoffish if she doesn't know you
Abilities: This girl can manipulate words like nobody's business. She can change reality if you give her the right words to manipulate. But she can only do it with words that are given to her, she is incapable of lying when speaking or changing reality writes her own.

Name: Vincent Edmonton. (Doesn't go by any nicknames, and supposedly "hates" them too…)
Age: 17
Gender: male (He/him)
Orientation: demisexual, panromantic. (Only feels attraction if a bond is formed)
Species: human, with a demon mother
Looks: like this -

and dresses like this -

Personality: Very quiet and closed off, and wants to keep it that way. Acts like a jerk only because he's afraid of forming relationships and spends most of his time alone, because no one likes his company. And he's fine with that… maybe
Abilities: can manipulate shadows, temporarily possess someone, and create fire with his hands. He can also mind read? Though his isn't very practiced at it. Most of his abilities come with the cost of his energy and well being

Vincent, the lonely soul seen shifting through the park, was occupied by his own thoughts. The details of trees, the smell of the enchanted coffee in his hand, just feeting contemplations that amused his rather bleak and boring life. There was almost no one in sight as he strode to work, which made him grin. No one in sight

Nekeisha wasn't in the mood for this. Her week had been horrible, a nightmare while awake. She slid a hand through her hair. She didn't need this, didn't need to deal with the pressures of college applications on top of everything. She stood up and closed her laptop, needing to clear her mind. Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she slipped out the door and headed towards the park.

Vincent's aforementioned job was… unusual, to say the least. Besides, most workplaces don't require a background in magic, or ethereal lineage, or supernatural qualities.
Unfortunately, Vincent checked every box, making him an exceptional candidate, and one of the most scheduled employees.
As he strode to the scheduled meeting place, a carefully plotted glen beyond an unassuming collection of trees, he waited for the others to arrive. Word had spread that there had been a new hire, but Vincent chose not to listen to his coworkers. Or talk to them, at all.

A cluster of people hung about in the park, catching Ne's eyes. She made her way towards them, hurrying for fear she'd be late.
She needed this job. This job could set her free, could provide the training she needed to twist her way past admissions boards, to manipulate her mother into letting her go. She wasn't skilled enough to do it yet. But, she could be. She would be. She needed this job.
She slides her feet across the dew-stained ground, lost in thought. Suddenly, she titters and trips, caught by a strong arm across her stomach.

Vincent saw the lost-looking woman approaching them, then looked down at her in his arms. His reflexes seemed to work faster than his mind could as he helped her bak up. "Watch your step." He muttered, crossing his arms and tapping his loafers impatiently across the slick greenery. Hopefully the boss would be here soon, he knew it was inevitable for the newcomer to ask him something bothersome.

Nekeisha studied the boy– no, young man– who had caught her. His features were sharp and rude and compelling. He could have been handsome, had he smiled. As it was… he seemed cruel.
Her skin tingled where he'd touched her, and she drug a hand across her face, sliding it back through her hair. She follows him and tapes his shoulder by way of greeting.

Vincent was embarrassed, maybe even a little repulsed, as he hid himself from the woman he had just 'saved.' He wasn't one for heleping people, but he did have the decent human respect. Or, half human respect.
At the feel of her touch he spun around, face contorting in fear and surprise as he realized he was facing the girl again.
"What do you want?" He asked, intending for the words to be harsh, sharp against the chilling air. Yet they only came out as a disgruntled squeak. Vincent blushed, even more embarrassed as he quickly turned his gaze back to the ground.
