you start because I'm absolutely swamped at the moment

Satsu was walking the halls as always, head ducked low, just trying to avoid everyone without being noticeable. He seemed like the type of person that was always on edge, and that was because he was. Even though he had on his special gloves, he still couldn't keep his hair from flaming, and he could already see the school bursting into flames right before his eyes. He gulped, and hurried even faster to robotics class, which was his favorite. He really liked the teacher and felt like he could relax in there. He sat down at his usual spot and got out his notebook, ready to take notes for the day. Alex on the other hand, had been walking next to Alex, talking about his latest mishap with his pet cat Missy over at the Rosethorn residence. He had seen Satsu disappear into class as he rounded the corner, and gave a soft smile of relief. "Hey Alex, you should come over today." Alex offered up, with a soft smile.

Alex had been happily walking along with Alex, nodding and laughing some when appropriate. He was always happy, it seemed, always bouncy and cheerful. He loved to make people feel comfortable around him, too, the happiness fluctuating when need be.
"Oh?" he asked, moving to walk backward so he could look Alex in the face. "Sounds great! I'd love to come over. I'll let my mom know!"

Alex nodded. "Good. I hope she says yes." He then walked into Animal Behavior and sat down, opening up his notebook, all ready for the day. Luckily school was almost over for the day. It was the last period of the day, which made Alex excited, and anxious. Satsu was just happy to be playing with robots.

"I'm sure she will~!" Alex skipped off to his next class, Anatomy. He couldn't help but giggle, knowing he had the advantage and didn't even have the makeup humans did. He was top of the class for this, of course. He hummed to himself, sending his mom a text before the bell rang. It wasn't long before he got his response, and with a happy squeal, Alex went to tell Alex after school finished.

(Also yes the irony of us shipping Satsu and Alex and Satsu loving robots is not lost on me)

Evelyn, Evan, Alex, and Satsu, Starla, and Clara were all waiting on the sidewalk for their mother to pick them up in her minivan. Evelyn and Evan were arguing, and Alex was showing Satsu some of his newest drawings, while Clara was talking to someone on the phone,while Starla had her nose stuck in a comic book. But as soon as Alex saw Alex out of the corner of his eye he excitedly waved him over. "Alex! Over here!" He called. This sudden outburst made Satsu flame a bit, but only his hair since he had on his special gloves.

(:000 wait we could have them bond over robots and Alex reveals he is one :0000)

Alex made his way over, grinning at Alex.
"Hey!" When he saw how Satsu reacted to Alex's outburst, Alex toned himself down some, his voice more gentle as he gave the man his own space.
"My mom said I could come over!"

"Awesome." Alex said quietly as Satsu blushed blue and fiddled with his glove tips nervously. Alex gave Satsu a small hug. "Hey Satsu, it's okay." "Sorry. I hate flaming like that." "I know." Satsu's voice was full of air and his breath smelled slightly like burning firewood as he talked and looked away. "Where is MOM?" Evelyn said in a complaining voice. "I have my boyfriend to go see!" She huffed, crossing her arms. Evan just smacked her on the head,annoyed with his sister already.

Alex watched quietly, his hands going to his pockets. He couldn't help but breathe in a bit more when he caught a smell of Sastu's breath. It smelled really good… it brought back happy memories with his family. He looked over when he heard Evelyn complain, giggling some when he saw Evan's reaction. He loved this family, all of them. Even if some of them didn't quite like him.

Evelyn and Evan began to squabble as Alex shook his head. The minivan pulled up and the doors rolled over to let more of the herd in. "16 17…18? 18? Oh Alex you brought a friend. I guess I'll have to adjust dinner a bit then. Satsu, sit in Alexs friends lap." Alex was a bit claustrophobic and didn't like being held. Satsus face went full blue as he silently sank into other Alex's lap, just sitting there awkwardly, pulling out his phone and playing a game on it as Crystal drove off, just quickly adjusting to everything.

Alex waved hello to Crystal when he was noted, grinning at her. He turned the smile, a bit softer now, to Satsu when they were instructed to sit together in such a fashion. Alex hummed softly as they were driven to the house, giving Satsu as much space as he could at the moment. The man pulled out his own phone, humming as he clicked through to the diagnostic hook up he had on it. It was connected to himself, though that wasn't shown on it, and he went through part by part to see just how everything was running after his day. He did this after school all the time, mostly just out of curiosity.

Satsu's hair kept flaming and then being put out by a steel bowl that Evelyn held with oven mitts because it gets hot the whole ride, as his face was just a constant blue the whole ride. As soon as the van pulled up to the driveway Satsu sprang up and practically leapt out of the car, and he took some deep breaths and sat down in the grass,damn near close to having a panic attack from the embarrassment.

Alex always had to lean back whenever Satsu's hair flamed, knowing just how dangerous it could be for him to catch on fire. He got out of the car soon after Satsu did, letting out a low breath to keep himself calm. He wanted to do the same for Satsu, to help him breathe and relax, but he knew he would probably just make it worse in the end.
